DAYS TILL THE BERS: 26

Happy August Sunday! Today folks we have 109 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 87 days to go until November, and 26 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be the big 100-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. I am happy to say that it will be in 9 days which means next week coming up we have no stress. We’re still solidly into the first half of August. And we have no milestones that will scare us out of our minds that we are starting to approach some crazy times ahead. Not to say I don’t want them to come but right now I’m good sticking in summer as long as possible. Speaking of that we move along through the 2nd half of our Summer Sweatfest here. So far, August has been nicer than July (I emphasize so far). But it’s all good no matter what the weather is. We move along in our 3-day quiet weekend period and I hope all of you are ready for the best Sunday that you could possibly ask for. Because that’s what it’s all about is enjoying each day as much as you possibly can. Keep it real turkey fans and have a great Sunday with your family and friends if possible whether it be low-key or crazy and loud. And enjoy it here in the thread we all love where turkey talk takes place all year long. Right friends? Have a great August Sunday!​

Today is the first day I have really looked at the after-Thanksgiving calendar. Even though Thanksgiving is pretty early, falling on the 23rd, I feel like I will only have 3 weekends in the lead up to Christmas. Thanksgiving weekend is a bit of a mix and even though I finish my Christmas decorating I don't do other Christmas prep, and this year with Christmas Eve Eve falling on a Saturday, I know I won't want to have to be "doing" anything that Saturday either. That leaves 3 weekends.
 
So, we are halfway through the Sweatfest, but this is the time of year where we have to start worrying about hurricanes. Thankfully we have had that Saharan dust moving through the Atlantic and the Gulf, and while it hasn't been great on my sinuses at least it's done a decent job at keeping any storms at bay. Even with the Bers imminent, I can't really breathe easy until we get to October.

September still feels like summer more than autumn (usually). But the mornings are normally cooler at least. Afternoons normally you don't need a jacket or anything. I even try to keep my shorts going most of that month.

DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 86
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 25

Happy Week Into August! Today folks we have 108 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 86 days left until November, and 25 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will not take place this week. It will take place 1 week from Tuesday and will be the 100-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. That will set us up for no more triple digit countdowns after that ever again in this thread. Unreal huh? But it’s Monday folks so as we move along and begin the 4th quarter of our Summer Sweatfest today let’s look at our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. It stands at 15 weeks. Awesome. Right smack in the middle of 10 and 20. Turkey fans I hope your week is getting off to as good of a start as you could ask for. And I hope all of you are enjoying your Monday. It is a brand new week and a new week of great posting hopefully in this thread and on this greatest of greatest websites (MMC). Keep it cool and I hope it won’t be too hot or humid for you this week. Enjoy your time today. Check back each day as much as you can. Plenty of time to enjoy here in August as we are only a week into it. Lots of August left to go. And lots of Pre-Season to enjoy. A great time of year for sure with everything still in front of us. Monday starts off as good as it can when we read milestones and updates about Thanksgiving. It's impossible to be unhappy when you are thinking of anything to do with Thanksgiving, Halloween, The Bers, or Christmas!

I bought my first Thanksgiving decoration today! I was shopping for school lunch snacks and there it was! I found a spot for it and I think I am going to leave it up!
