DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 83
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 61

Happy September Arrives! Today folks we have 83 days remaining until Thanksgiving & 61 days to go until The Bers. What? Did I miss something you’re asking? No I didn’t. There are only 2 countdowns left here because we have reached the milestone today of THE BERS. You all know that. And we also begin our favorite season here today our Awesome Autumn. Now don’t look at the upcoming weather forecast if you’re in my area if you want a (very) early autumn chill this weekend or next week. Summertime heat is coming back. Our next milestone folks will be in 11 days when we reach the Final Fifty till November. Umm yeah that’s enough said right there. We’re here folks and we begin our quiet 3-day weekend period today with being in THE BERS. I can’t say that enough can I? BERS BERS BERS BERS BERS BERS BERS. Ok I think I’m ok now. I just had to let that out. Keep it real my turkey friends and have a great Friday. And welcome home to The Bers. Our favorite time of year is here. And if you aren’t ready for it well you better be as of this moment right now because it’s here and it’s time to start enjoying it right away from day 1 today here on this Friday before Labor Day Weekend. Have a great September Arrives!

Happy first day of Bers everyone. The upcoming heat and humidity is really going to ruin my Thanksgiving vibes. For some strange reason I really need that nice fall weather to put me in a Thanksgiving state of mind. But when that weather changes it is like a light switch for me.

My Thanksgiving thought is how wonderful those first hours in the morning are when the turkey is in the oven and there is a pause in the preparations and your can just enjoy the day.
That smell is heavenly. Plus the parade and the first time I’m allowed to play Christmas carols in the house. thanksgiving is a wonderful day!

Happy 1st day of The Bers! It feels so good to be home! It was 46 degrees when I woke up this morning. This coming week is supposed to be a warmer one, a few days hit 90, but we still have low 50's and 60's overnight. Low humidity. They will be gorgeous Fall evenings!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 82
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 60

Happy Labor Day Weekend! Today folks we have 82 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 60 days to go until November. Our next milestone will be the Final Fifty till November which is still in 10 days. For now folks we move into Day 2 of our Awesome Autumn. And although the summer heat will return here it still is nice to be in The Bers and know that the official start of autumn is somewhat in view now. It still will take a little getting used to with only having 2 counts instead of 3 but I do think we will all get used to that eventually. Turkey fans I hope your Saturday is off to a good start as we do our own version of a 3-day weekend here in this thread with day 2 of it being today and everything being quiet. A restful weekend in this thread with no topics and just chat from everyone talking here in this thread. Labor Day Weekend is a 3-day weekend for some people but we have a 3-day weekend in this thread every single weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That’s how we roll here. But this thread doesn’t take any holidays off. Hasn’t done so in years and hope that to continue. Turkey fans enjoy your weekend even if you are having a BBQ and want a turkey on it. I hope you enjoy your time with family/friends. Have a great Labor Day Weekend!

Two counts is just surreal! Part of the fun is starting off with multiple counts and watching them whittle down. We are getting close indeed!

Turkey Thoughts are easier and easier to come by now. Not very long to go!

Have a great day!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 81
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 59

Happy Labor Day Eve! Today folks we have 81 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 59 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will not be for another 9 days so we have time to get ready for that Final Fifty marker till November. Our Awesome Autumn is still in it’s VERY early stages folks and it certainly doesn’t feel like Autumn here. It was a nice Saturday but the temperature got to 80. Not quite Autumn-like and today even warmer and into a very warm/hot week ahead. We’ll see how long it lasts. But turkey fans you know how to keep you’re a/c on in September don’t you? You’ll need it I’m sure. That’s not unexpected. I don’t consider the cooler months to start really until October. That’s when you normally see it a little cooler more consistently. And by November and certainly by Thanksgiving normally you’ll want the oven on all day in your house on Thanksgiving so you can keep it warm on either a chilly (or down right cold) day depending on the year and how the weather turns out. I remember last year was 50 and sunny (about average for us) and it was a nice late autumn day. One year we didn’t get out of the 20s for highs (with wind too) and it felt like January. You never know turkey fans but one thing we do know is that September is awesome. And we’re here in a great month. Have a great Labor Day Eve!

I remember it being brutally cold before on Thanksgiving. You feel like that's going to set the tone for the winter, but then crazy stuff happens and it gets in the 60's or 70's for Christmas. I think it was Christmas of 2017 that it was 72 degrees. It felt so weird and strange to be celebrating Christmas with all of us walking around just in T-shirts and no jackets.

If I had to pick the "perfect weather" for Thanksgiving, I would say a cold morning where you would need an actual jacket, to a day that warms up to the mid 50's and then gets cold again as the sun starts setting.

Have a great day!
