Thanksgiving 2023 Thread

I never thought of it that way but that makes lots of sense. Were Memorial Day starts the road to the Bers, Labor Day starts the road to Thanksgiving. I love it.
Afternoon all!! Its absolutely roasting here today. Well we are all packed and fly out very early for Anchorage and then a flight to Whitehorse Canada and a jump to the guides lodge. The girls only have moose tags but I scored a moose and Grizzly tag. Bows are packed and rifles (just in case)

Labor Day distracted me from the Weekly Countdown! Even reviewing my Holiday Grand Plan didn't make it click but there is no denying that we are under 11 weeks away!
DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 78
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 56
Happy September Mid-Week! Today folks we have 78 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 56 days to go until November. Our next milestone will be in less than a week when we reach the 50-Day Marker till November. It will be big for sure. But right now, we’re in the Sweet Spot known as September in the very early days of our Awesome Autumn. And we look at our first Weekly Poll of The Bers Season below!
What’s the most excited you get for their individual arrival during fall?

- Cooler fall weather beginning
- Halloween Season
- Hmm this is tough for me. I’m ok with it being warm (maybe not hot) so I eliminated B. I love the return of football season. It’s so exciting but I think due to my Halloween obsession I’m going to have to say C. Halloween Season which can entail simply watching Halloween shows, having candy, and/or activities. What about you? Turkey fans keep it real here in the middle of the week. Have a great September Mid-Week!
Tough poll today. I honestly think my heart is going to answer "C". I would go with "A" but I honestly get more excited during Halloween / Spooky Season. Where I live, waiting for true cooler weather would put you around mid - late September, and nobody wants to "pass time" in The Bers!

Happy September Mid-Week! Today folks we have 77 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 55 days left until November. Wow Double 7’s (lucky) and Double 5’s. Our next milestone will be in 5 days which means it will not happen this week. And it will be the Final Fifty till November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn but feeling more like our Summer Sweatfest as CW has been pointing out also. Sweating all the way through the week. Well today we have our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday so let’s take care of that to help us cool off!
The one thing that makes me think about Thanksgiving isn’t turkey, football, or even a parade. It’s actually very simply put: Thursdays. There is no other holiday I associate with a specific day of the week as I do Thanksgiving with Thursday (even though Memorial/Labor etc. fall on Mondays). And that’s why Thursday makes me think of Thanksgiving more than any other thought or word.
Well with today being Thursday I think that’s why we started our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday really. Because this is the day of the week we consistently think more about Thanksgiving than the other 6 days. Keep it real turkey fans and enjoy your day today. Afternoon crowd!! Howdy from the northern Yukon and coming at you from pre production consumer cell phone running off Elon's Starlink. (Got them from a call from my buddy thats a magazine editor...not that I know anybody with strings to dole 3 of them out) Whitehorse customs were absolutely abyssmal yestetday. Left our bowcases looking like a tv suitcase exploded. Got our rifle permits paid..lord forbid they made it so we could have took pistols. I have a small Uhaul reserved in case we score 3 moose..I aint paying that flight! Float plane was a great ride since the girls had never flew on one. Its all fall colors up here and 51°..woohoo!
I figured that--can't make those polls too easy, right?
