Thanksgiving 2023 Thread

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 39
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 17

Happy Mid-September! Today folks we have 39 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 17 days to go until November. Our next milestone will be in 1 week. It will be the Home Stretch till November. I can’t think about that yet so I won’t. I have a major Halloween event tonight so I really am curious to see how it will go. But I’m excited for it and will give you all a run-down most likely on Tuesday in the Hang Out. Of course, we move along in our Awesome Autumn which definitely has been awesome so far (especially when it’s not raining). And we move into our 3rd and final day of our quiet 3-day weekend period here. It just means we’re here to post, talk, have fun without any specific topics like we do add into the mix here on Mondays through Thursdays every week. Now turkey fans I hope you had a great Saturday but I also hope your Sunday somehow tops it. Or at least comes close to it. At least with my event tonight I got lucky the rain moved out by Saturday night already so today looks dry for it. Don’t want any crazy rain outs. Keep it real turkey fans and I hope you enjoy your day as much as you can. It should be a good one I hope. And I wish the best to all of you on this Sunday. Have a great Mid-September!

I wish it was still just Mid-September! The time just feels like it's roaring by now!

Tomorrow we hit the halfway point of the month, I'm really truly honestly not ready for it!

Wow! Middle of October already. Time sure is flying by. Yesterday as Michelle and I were driving the back roads of Georgia, I started thinking about the upcoming holidays and how I most likely have more behind me than in front of me. The same goes for all the other days on the calendar. We really need to savor each day for what it is. @Edge612 reminds us of this quite often. Thank you, my friend.

I feel like because all of the Big 3 being one after the other this time of year it's kind of like a big connected long Bers Holiday to Christmas Day! Let's let it last as long as possible!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 38
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 16

Happy Middle Day Of October! Today folks we have 38 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 16 days to go until November. Our next milestone will be in less than 1 week. But it will be all the way at the end of next weekend when on Sunday we reach the Home Stretch till November. Luckily we have plenty of October left to go as we are barely halfway through mid-day today. I do feel October has gone slower than September (not as slow as January or July though). We move along in our Awesome Autumn loving this thread and our Mondays with our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week (arguably the best week of the year) and it now stands at 5 weeks. Wow. One hand folks. We used to need 10 hands when we started this lol. Now 9 are gone. Oh boy. But we still have a full hand so that’s good. That means we got lots of weeks to enjoy in the build-up to that most amazing day of Thanksgiving. Now turkey fans I hope your week is getting off to a good start and that you are doing ok. That is what is most important. I’m taking today off but not from posting of course in this wonderful thread. Keep the positive outlook today and enjoy your Monday as much as you possibly can. I am going to "lose" a week this week because I have to travel to NOLA for work, so I will be in meetings and conference rooms most of the week, and at night I will be in a hotel room away from my family. It sucks. Maybe I'll watch some Halloween movies in the hotel so that I can still hold on to Spooky Season for a while. I am not ready to advance into November yet.

I know travel away from family is hard, but of all the places to be during Halloween season--that is a nice spooky place.

Happy 2nd Half Of October! Today folks we have 37 days remaining until Thanksgiving & 15 days to go until November. Our next milestone will be on Sunday when we reach the Home Stretch till November. Me? I’m in full October mode right now here folks in our Awesome Autumn and on this Tuesday Picture Day. What a great time of year it is. I love it. And I know all of you do as well. And for us turkey fans we know our time will come soon enough but we’re at the point where we’re ready to kind of slam on the brakes and hit the pause button. That is where we would like to stay is right here in the heart of October and get to drool at the thought of our Thanksgiving turkey for so long that we can’t even take it anymore. The anticipation keeps building. Turkey fans I hope you are all enjoying your Tuesday. Take it in stride. Nice and easy and just smile at where we are right now. I’ve seen a few of you talking about how now you want to slow down time well time won’t slow down but I always say the only thing I’ve learned to do is enjoy as much as I can each day and then at least you feel like you got the most out of the day. That’s the best we can do. And luckily we still have time on our side in the Thanksgiving Thread so let’s get the turkey spirit building today with lots of great pictures on Picture Day. I’ll post mine later as always. Have a great 2nd Half Of October!
