Thanksgiving 2023 Thread

Happy Saturday all! Checking in from a caution at North Wilkesboro. Having a great time, even better because our 5th wheels are parked between Kevin Harvicks and Flo Racing campers. I brought my David Pearson car for the parade in town and got to meet Richard Petty. Have a great day. Pic of the mascots.

And Thursday = Halfway to Thanksgiving. We will conclude the 1st half of our journey on Thursday.

Happy May Sunday! Today folks we have 186 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 164 days to go until November, and 103 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be Wednesday folks. But folks you know where we are right now. We’re on the end of being in the first half basically. Wednesday will be the 100-Day Marker till The Bers. Thursday will be Halfway to Thanksgiving. Do I really need to say more? If you don’t realize this is the biggest turning point this thread will see then I don’t know what else to tell you. Fortunately, as we move ahead in the late stages of our Super Spring we have the entire 100-Day long Summer Sweatfest still in front of us to protect us from getting to The Bers. I know CW might say a few words to me right now by hyping the summer sweatfest but hey without that summer sweatfest you won’t enjoy autumn as much. Every season makes you appreciate the next one more. I think that’s why we try to appreciate all of the different times of year here. Now for all of you turkey fans enjoy Day 3 of 3 in our 3-day quiet weekend period here. It should be fun and relaxing. No matter what your plans are for today enjoy the free feeling of no stress being in the 1st half. Have a great May Sunday!​

DAYS TILL THE BERS: 102

Happy Week Before Memorial Day! Today folks we have 185 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 163 days to go until November, and 102 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Wednesday. It will be the biggest milestones in this thread. It will be the 100-Day Marker till The Bers. Our Super Spring continues for the next 2 days folks. That would be today and tomorrow. After that? We move into CW’s favorite time of year the famous (or infamous) Summer Sweatfest! It’s Monday so here is our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week folks and it’s THE turning point like this whole week is. We have 26 weeks until Thanksgiving Week. 26 is half of 52 which is a full year. We are 6 months away folks. That magical week we got to experience and now we’re halfway back there. Well turkey fans have I given you enough news? Or should I give you more? I think we have more than enough on our turkey plates this week to deal with. It’s only going to get bigger and better as we move forward. Have a great (special) Monday everyone. It’s time for a new week of fun and interesting stuff. And a big holiday weekend (3-day style) is ahead for many of us to look forward to all week long. Have a great Week Before Memorial Day!​
 
An awesome week approaches! I am really going to try to get my wife to agree with the idea of going to Cracker Barrel this Thursday for dinner to celebrate Tom Turkey Day/Halfsgiving! It's been lodged in my head ever since last week. It would be a nice bonus if they had some early Fall items out in their store, but that's probably hoping for too much.

The weekly count hitting 26 is a great way to start the week, then we have Weds and Thurs to look forward to and then a three day weekend! WOW! Gobble, gobble!

Happy Mellow May! Today folks we have 184 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 162 days to go until September, and 101 days left until The Bers. Folks, tomorrow will be the biggest milestone maybe on this website as I’ve said. It is the 100-Day Marker till The Bers. I think this date of May 24th has become a significant date on this site. The way it falls right around Memorial Day every year makes it even more significant. And of course, the halfway marker to Thanksgiving Eve is tomorrow. Coach recently said it might be the best day of the year in the Hang Out. I never saw someone say that (but I have thought it). He was saying he’ll get some grief for that but I get what he meant. That day is crazy special. Now folks for all of you turkey fans please be safe and have a great time today. We move along here folks in the FINAL DAY of our Super Spring. We better enjoy it. Tomorrow will be a major day here. And it will be the beginning of the Summer Sweatfest. CW I hope you’re a/c is working my friend. And we’ll have a special poll to talk about this major milestone and turning point tomorrow. Keep it real turkey fans and don’t forget today is Tuesday. Tuesday means Picture Day in this thread. Post all your yummy photos for the final time in the “1st half” of this thread. Happy Tuesday! Getting out of Monday was an accomplishment in itself, now here we are standing on the doorstep to a major milestone. As much as I look forward to tomorrow, the one thing that I DON'T really look forward to is that Sweat Fest, but you know what, It is a part of the natural order of things, and reaching The Bers, even "Fall Pre-Season", wouldn't feel the same without suffering through it!
