Happy 300 Days to Thanksgiving! I am still getting excited seeing the talk about the "mini Thanksgiving" that Edge is going to do in February at some point. I really think it would be cool if we could all virtually have dinner along with him by doing our own little "mini Thanksgivings" and sharing pictures on here. Just a thought, he might not be into that.

At long last, it's the final weekend of January. Here is to brighter days and hopefully marching out of winter here not before too long.

Have a Happy Friday!
Well, as it turns out, I just learned we'll be cooking up our second Butterball we bought during Thanksgiving on the weekend before President's Day. All the trimmings as well. So apparently I'll be joining in the fun.

A lot of years ago I called Christmas Eve/Day the “Dynamic Duo” but what is Thanksgiving Eve/Day then? It’s about as dynamic as any duo there is. And the fact it is the “beginning” of the season as opposed to the “ending” I think it deserves a nickname. Any suggestions?
Ok, here it goes.

the "Epic Epoch"?
the "Colossal Couple"?
the "Perfect Pair"? (My Fav)
the "Terrific Twosome"?
the "Deuce of Delight"?
the "Double Delight"?

Hmm... I'm afraid to go on.

Love the idea of the virtual mini-Thanksgiving!

We could but I don't want everyone to revolve their cooking/meals/schedule around me. I would say at least maybe whoever wants to join can try it out at least during the month of February at a night that fits for them and to share it here if they want to!

I like "Perfect Pair" out of those...they kind of are perfect. Ironically, I went to the place we have been picking up our Thanksgiving Eve dinner from for the last decade tonight to pick up dinner...first time since Thanksgiving Eve. Might try to go every other month.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 299
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 277
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 216

Happy Final Weekend Of January! Today folks we have 299 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 277 days left until November, and 216 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Wednesday when we reach the Arrival of February. That will mean we have completed 2 months since that wonderful month of November ended (the best month of the year). We move along here in our Winter Wonderland here in the late days of January feeling pretty good about things. Can’t complain. It’s been a long month but a good one to start the year. And January has given us plenty of good things. Maybe I’ve sounded too positive this year on January to some people but I’m liking the feeling and I really do think I’ve learned a lot this year from January. And yes, when February comes I’ll try to update you on my planned February Mini Thanksgiving. We’ll see. Is this something I can do quarterly? Why not? I wouldn’t mind it. I think it might be fun. And it wouldn’t ruin it. It would make it more special if anything and keep Thanksgiving alive more. I eat chicken every week basically so why can’t I have turkey once every 13 weeks? Now if I put the Macy’s parade on that would truly be a special moment. Now I’m really thinking I should. I have it on DVR and I never really go back to watch it so why not? Now I’m getting chills talking about this. Those good special holiday feelings. I am going to think about it all. Keep it going turkey fans all weekend long in our laid back phase of this week here in this thread. Have a great Final Weekend Of January!

That works for me, I think our "mini thanksgiving" will be February 19th, that's the weekend after the Super Bowl. Two big food weekends in a row! I will absolutely share the pics on here when we do it.

Have a great day!

I watched the first 2 hours of the parade last weekend. It was great! You should do it!
