Thanksgiving 2023 Thread

Happy Thursday! I always think about Thanksgiving on Thursday, no excuses. It's one thing I can count on every week without fail, to have some Turkey thoughts on this day.

BIG week coming up next week, no doubt. Today also just might be the last, or one of the very last days that has a "Fall Feel" to it. It's 42 degrees outside right now, and it doesn't get out of the 60's. I'm immediately reminded of an October day. Only thing we are missing is that "filter" that seems like it goes over the sun.

Tom Turkey Day is one week from today. So is Halfway to Thanksgiving Day. And on that day, our countdown to The Bers will be standing at 99 days. Double digits. Let that sink in for a moment. o_O We'll be triple dipping on the excitement factor next week.
 
My Thursday Thanksgiving Thought this week is solely about turkey. Ever since I posted that picture from Cracker Barrel's menu earlier this week, I cannot stop thinking about their turkey and dressing. And now I really want to go there next week for Tom Turkey Day and have a mini-Thanksgiving dinner with a side of mac and cheese and some biscuits.

To sum up next week - Monday = Halfway to Thanksgiving Week...Wednesday = 100 Day Bers Marker, Thursday = Halfway to Thanksgiving, Tom Turkey Day and Rudolph Day. And then the Memorial Day Weekend the unofficial start of summer and the road begins back to Labor Day and The Bers.
BIGGEST week of milestones. It's coming.

DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 166
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 105

Happy Kane Day! Today folks we have 188 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 166 days to go until November, and 105 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be the 100-Day Marker till The Bers on Wednesday. That’s as big as it gets folks. Next week is as BIG as it gets too. We’ll talk about it this coming weekend but first let’s enjoy our quiet 3-day period now. We all love that about this thread. And our Super Spring is starting to wind down but we have 1 more weekend of it. I know we’ll all look forward to that. And for you turkey fans out there wishing for better weather well I hope you get it this weekend. But I know the Sweatfest is coming folks. And by the looks of my phone app the weather will warm up right in time for the start of our Summer Sweatfest here in my area. Maybe kind of fitting. It’s ok right now though being in spring still and our Super Spring as we talk about here all the time. Turkey fans enjoy your day. And enjoy your weekend ahead but be here with me all weekend long if you can. If I’m here alone I have nobody to talk to. And that wouldn’t be good for anyone including myself. And we’ll help each other get ready for the BIGGEST week of this countdown and thread coming next week. Have a great Kane Day!​

Could that be the biggest week of the entire year as far as hitting so many milestone days consecutively? I'm thinking it has to be!

Happy Turning Point Weekend! Today folks we have 187 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 165 days to go until November, and 104 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Wednesday. We all know that by now. We know it will be the 100-Day Marker till The Bers. We also know the biggest week of the year is coming up (at least the Non-Bers year). But right now we’re in day 2 of our 3-day weekend in this thread. Quiet. Laid back. Restful. Relaxing. The best way to be on the weekend isn’t it? Especially before gearing up for such a big week ahead. Now we move along into the final handful of days of our Super Spring by talking all about everything going on this weekend. Hopefully your weekend is fun and restful at the same time. Is there such a thing? Sometimes it’s hard to get both in. All of you turkey fans are the best. Thanks for being here and following this thread through the winter wonderland and now through our super spring. We have one more (big) time period to go and we know that is the Summer Sweatfest. It’s actually the longest of all of our time periods in this thread (100 days). But for now we’ll choose to focus on the present and today. And I hope all of you have a wonderful time this weekend. Have a great Turning Point Weekend!​
 
I'm thinking about Tom Turkey day on Thursday!! And I think it will be extra special because on that day, we will have broken the 100 day seal to The Bers. That's super exciting.

I'm hoping to see some more Fall stuff when I make a hobby lobby run later! Gobble Gobble!

I do like our laid back weekends and I am excited for next week. May is rolling right along!
