Good morning and Happy Friday. I am home today waiting for a technician and it is going to be a beautiful day, so not only is it boosting the 3 day weekend feel, some Thanksgiving Feels are creeping in! Enjoy your day!
It sometimes bugs me to wait for technicians and repair people. It seems like a four hour window or whatever they give you seems just too vague. But when I had to have the plumber come, I decided to see it as a gift of time to do things I wanted to. It made all the difference int he world.

I got quite a bit done before he arrived, right before noon, he was here less than 20 minutes and I was able to offer to give my brother a ride home from taking our dad's tractor (IH M) to the local tractor show so he didn't have to wait for his daughter to get home from work. We had a nice ride and we sat out by his coy pond until the bugs drove me away. A nice start to the weekend!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 166
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 144
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 83

Happy Double Digits June! Today folks we have 166 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 144 days to go until November, and 83 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone(s) will be the Arrival of Summer & Tom Turkey Day #7. They are not for over a week and a half though folks + more. So no need to rush them. We look here today in our Summer Sweatfest and our 3-day weekend here in this thread trying to enjoy a weekend after a strange week. It was strange with the smoke the other day but it cleared up pretty fast luckily. And hopefully that will be the worst we see of it. Crazy week. Kids still in school so the “heart” of summer hasn’t started yet here. I look at those school buses this time of year and realize those kids are looking forward to a major 10-week summer vacation. Who wouldn’t envy that? Now turkey fans we move ahead here today in June trying to enjoy our time in this thread with the middle day of our quiet period. We love our 3-day weekends being quiet. Quiet is good sometimes. Quiet makes you hear the noise when it’s around. You realize it more. Turkey fans have a great Saturday. I hope you all have your weekend going well and family/friends being a part of it. Have a great Double Digits June!

Thoughts of the approaching Thanksgiving season are among some of my happiest! It always feels good to think about turkey time, even if it is just for a moment! Happy Saturday!

Quiet is good, especially on a Saturday morning. I was off work yesterday and it gave me a very 3 Day Weekend with a twist of Thanksgiving week feeling. Today is feeling like a regular Saturday, which I suppose is good, but I enjoyed it while it lasted!

Wow, I was surprised to see this. School has been out here since the last week of May, but the kids all start back on August 3rd this year which, weirdly enough, is a Thursday. So they'll really only get two full months off for summer vacation.

I remember when I was a kid we got out at the end of May, and in the early years until around middle school we didn't have to go back until the first week of September. Of course, back then we didn't have as many days off during the school year, either. No Winter Break, for example, and only the day before and day after Thanksgiving as opposed to a full week like they have now. How things have changed.

Sounds pretty perfect. I love watching coy. So far, the bugs haven't been too bad here (I have to tempt fate by saying that).

School doesn't start here till September.

And they will be awesome. They will be the arrival of summer and Tom Turkey Day #7. They will happen in 10/11 days from today. It will be big I know for all of us. And we all look forward to it for sure. But right now turkey fans I hope your Summer Sweatfest is going ok. It’s still early but moving along in the early part of it. And I also hope you’re enjoying your 3-day weekend here in this thread with the 3rd part being today. It’s been really a quiet weekend here and I’m thankful for those. Next weekend may be busier but I will also be off that following week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so extra time to do stuff plus relax. More time to post on the Thanksgiving Thread? That’s always something I make time for no matter what plans I have or what is going on in my world. Now for all of you I hope you enjoy your day. And I hope you enjoy the remainder of your weekend. I hope you have a safe one and a fun one for sure here in the month of June which is a great month to be in. Really enjoy this time of year. Have a great Jumping June!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 164
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 142
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 81

Happy Dozen Days Of June! Today folks we have 164 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 142 days to go until November, and 81 days left until The Bers. Our next milestones will happen 2 days in a row but not this week (next week – Wednesday/Thursday). They will be the Arrival of Summer & Tom Turkey Day #7. We look ahead to a brand new week in our Summer Sweatfest and as we do every Monday give our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. And that number today stands at 23 weeks. Still in the 20s so we’re safe (for now). But it should be a good week I hope for all of you turkey fans out there. Hmmm turkey makes me drool even here in the month of June. That reminds me in July we were planning to have a Thanksgiving dinner #2. I’ll try to get the wheels in motion for that when the time comes but right now I’m just happy to be in the month of June. Relax and enjoy this Monday as much as you possibly can. Have a great one to all my friends out there. And thanks for being here to start off this week. I hope it will be as good of a week as you possibly can enjoy. And be here all week for some exciting updates daily here in the Thanksgiving Thread as we always have year-round. Have a great Dozen Days Of June!

I hate the windows they give!
We had to have a new washing machine delivered a couple of weeks ago. First time buying an appliance online from Home Depot. They texted and emailed me the day that they were going to deliver it, and what time. You could also track the progress online / through your phone. They arrived within 5 minutes of the time they told me they were going to be there, and weren't here but for maybe 20 minutes. It was amazing, and I had a great experience!
