B. If I have to swap November, I would still want it to be as close to harvest as possible. but having Christmas earlier might be nice.

It has to be B, October. September is way too early and I’ll never mess with Christmas. Christmas is absolutely perfect where it is. And Christmas is 75% of the reason why Thanksgiving is so great. And here’s my proof. I’m not knocking on Canada, but they celebrate Thanksgiving in October and it doesn’t have the same fanfare and excitement around it. Thanksgiving is Thanksgiving, but what makes it so good in November is that ushers in the Christmas season. So if I had to move it, I wouldn’t move it very far. And October seems to be the best answer to me.
You make a good point!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 105
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 83
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 22

Happy Double Digits August! Today folks we have 105 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 83 days left until November, and 22 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Tuesday which will be the 100-Day Marker Till Thanksgiving. But now we are here on Thursday folks in our Summer Sweatfest with our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday!

I’m thinking this year I need to find some good Thanksgiving Shows to watch in November. Like most of us I watch tons of Halloween and Christmas shows but Thanksgiving shows are so much rarer. If you have any recommendations on what shows to watch definitely let me know. We don’t talk about Thanksgiving Shows much anywhere on this site (even in this thread).

Turkey fans I hope your Thursday is going well and you are gobbling your way through your day eating turkey. Well that would be nice but I have some chicken which is at least similar. No matter what I hope you have the best day possible today and enjoy your turkey thoughts. Don’t forget every Thursday definitely there is a piece of Thanksgiving in all of us to enjoy the most we can. Have a great Double Digits August!

Hey what a great thought! I have never thought of any Thanksgiving shows. I can't think of any off the top of my head. I remember one time watching "The Sopranos" and they were having Thanksgiving Dinner, and I got a huge dose of The Feels just seeing all of the family gathered around the table and seeing all of the food.

Have a great day! It's Thursday so think turkey thoughts. Gobble Gobble!

I would love a list of Thanksgiving Shows! Last year, I Googled "Best Thanksgiving T.V. episodes" and I stuck to sit-coms, since I was already sick and missed my extended family's celebration, I didn't want to venture into anything too serious. It was fun, some like Cheers, I hadn't watched in years, and then others, like The Middle, I had never watched when it was originally on.

Every year I watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving without fail. But past that, not much. Hallmark and GAC put out a new Thanksgiving movie each year. But I can't remember watching any of them. There are so many Christmas movies in November that Thanksgiving entertainment gets pushed aside.
Wikipedia lists a lot of Thanksgiving Specials. I've seen some of them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Thanksgiving_television_specials
Lawrence Welk did an annual Thanksgiving Special for 26 years straight.

When I think of Thanksgiving shows:

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
Garfield's Thanksgiving

All of the Thanksgiving episodes of Friends

Those are the ones I watch each year. I'm sure there are others, but they escape me at the moment.

Is football considered a "Thanksgiving show?"

I love the old time radio shows!
OTR is so underrated! Here's a few Thanksgiving related ones..

(edit: Just a quick note that some of these shows and broadcasts are products of their time and might contain content we may think offensive nowadays. Honestly I'd say 99% of it is fine, but thought I'd put this here just in case.)

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 104
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 82
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 21

Happy Summer Friday! Today folks we have 104 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 82 days to go until November, and 21 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Tuesday folks which is 4 days from now and will be the all-important 100-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. And folks that is a big one because then we have no more triple digit counts. We are here now in the later stages of the Summer Sweatfest but still 3 weeks of it to go. It’s been a long summer with the July heat/humidity that really stood out so far. Still time to go in summer though as you know it can continue well into September. Right now we are in the beginning of our quiet 3-day weekend period here. And I hope all of you are ready to enjoy it. I love our quiet 3-day weekends. Don’t you all? It’s like the most awesome thing ever. And it’s always a great time to be able to slow down and kind of hit the brakes. The brakes are a good thing. Watching football on t.v. these days even though it’s preseason is fun also. Keep it real my turkey friends. And I hope all of you have a good Friday and look forward to your weekend as much as I anticipate each and every one of you are right now. Have a great time my friends and enjoy. Have a great Summer Friday!

Oh yeah my a/c runs a good part of September especially in my bedroom which is like an attic room.
I run two fans in my bedroom when it is hot, and one fan when it is warm, but I am already looking forward to putting on my flannel sheets, but am in no rush to put on my fleece sheets!
