I gotta take B, yall. So, I get excited in September, but it is a different type of excited than October and November. To me, October and November are straight party time months! December is a beast all on its own.

DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 25
Happy Week Into October! Today folks we move along and see our counts as follows: 47 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 25 days to go until November. Our next milestone isn’t for a full 2 weeks + 1 day so no need to worry about it. But it will be the Home Stretch till November. Wow. I’m not ready for that. I need a lot more October first and thankfully we have that. October does seem to have started off slower than September. We’ll see if it keeps it up. We move along in our Awesome Autumn in desperate need of a nice, fun, relaxing and slower weekend. And in October that’s what you hope for. We continue in Part 2 of 3 in our quiet 3-day weekend in this thread. This is my favorite part of it. The middle day. Saturday. Always been a Saturday fan over Sunday (no offense to Sunday). I just like it a little more than Sunday. But of course Sunday has NFL and lots of Halloween activities which I normally do on Sundays so lots to look forward to in the weekends in October. Now turkey fans we are here in the Thanksgiving Thread in the Halloween Season but we all know they are linked. Halloween and Thanksgiving are like Peanut Butter and Jelly. They just really seem to go together. A pumpkin and a turkey? Maybe. Maybe not. Gobble Gobble my turkey friends. Enjoy. Have a great Week Into October!

I was looking at the calendar at work yesterday, It's exciting to see November show up on the end of the page. We are off work so many days that month because of local / county holidays. We're also off three straight days for Thanksgiving (Wednesday, Thanksgiving Day, and Black Friday). One week at the beginning of the month, we only work two days lol.
Somehow in all of the fall and Halloween hype, I lost track of just how close November / Thanksgiving really is! As good ole JR would say, business is about to pick up!

I have had a flurry of things popping up for November 3rd and 4th too, which is great but a bit jarring!
It's already picking up!

Happy October Sunday! Today folks we have 46 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 24 days to go until November. Our next milestone will not be for 2 full weeks folks. It will be the Home Stretch till November. I guess we better enjoy the heart of October which is upon us. We move along in our Awesome Autumn and our 3-day weekend (the final day of it) in this thread. And we all hope to enjoy our Sunday. I’m going apple picking which is an annual tradition here. We’ve gone as early as late September in the past to as late as mid-October. We kind of felt like October is a better month to go so we picked today for the day. And I know it’s not the most exhilarating experience but I have to say it’s simple fun. And it makes you feel like fall, Halloween and yes, Thanksgiving. We actually went in May to look at flowers/plants and it was really cool to go there at a different time of year and thinking wow when we come back it will be October. Hard to think that but here we are now. Turkey fans if you’re enjoying your Sunday give me a Gobble Gobble. And if you’re enjoying this thread give me a 3rd Gobble. I don’t just say this because it sounds good but this is my favorite thread. I like our niche/group of a holiday that not enough people talk about year-round. Have a great October Sunday!

Happy Columbus Day! Today folks we have 45 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 23 days left until November. Our next milestone is going to be the Home Stretch till November but it won’t happen until 13 days from now. No milestones this week. But we do have our normal weekly stuff here in our Awesome Autumn of course. And we start it off (as we do every week) with our weekly countdown till Thanksgiving Week. And that stands at 6 weeks right now. Wow. 6 weeks folks. A 6-pack of weeks of Autumn leading us to the most amazing incredible feeling week of the year which starts a 6-week holiday season. It’s hard to believe folks. But luckily we still need 2 hands to count the weeks. And that is awesome. Keep it for one more week at least. Now turkey fans I hope your week is off to an ok start. Or maybe even better than that? That’s what I hope for all of you. And it should be awesome. I love October weeks folks. I crave this time of year. 60s during the day and 40s at night. Pretty much perfect autumn weather this week. Not too hot and not too cold. I feel like my body has transitioned to the cooler weather that we are having now very quickly which is a good thing. It was cold here yesterday. I worked outside in it for a while, and still have a few chores to do for today. I like working in the cold better than the heat, that's for sure.

We broke down last night and turned on the furnace. We made it three days later than last year before we needed heat. I knew we were on borrowed time since several days ago lol.
