It’s B for me, although I have a general idea of what the menu will be. We were at my brother’s house last year for Thanksgiving too, so I imagine it will be nearly the same spread with the exception that my brother is smoking a turkey this year. Yum!
We smoked one for the the first time last year..it came out great. We did one in the oven and one in the smoker!
Hope you like it!

I am a D. I am still not sure who will be available on actual Thanksgiving but I am enjoying making a number of menus for a variety of options. Shall I have an Appsgiving on Wednesday night? Drinks and desserts Thursday evening? A traditional meal? Who knows but I am enjoying thinking about it all, the pressure to know won't break me until November arrives!

My answer this time is E, other. As of this week, our plans have changed. We had bought some of the food needed, but now we are going to my mother's house for Thanksgiving. Our daughter lives in Detroit, and through some odd circumstances, we haven't been able to see her for five years. She called us the other day, and she was able to get some vacation approved and will be able to meet us at my mom's for Thanksgiving. So that's where we'll be in a month.
Rich had to pick an option that wasn't even given! :)

We are safely in October!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 35
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 8

Happy October Spook! Today folks we move along and see that we have 35 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 8 days to go until November. Our milestone has arrived my friends as we have reached Tom Turkey Day #11! THE FINAL TOM TURKEY DAY BEFORE THE ULTIMATE TURKEY DAY OF THANKSGIVING. Sorry for shouting but I believe that sentence deserved to be shouted. We move along in our Awesome Autumn which has been beyond awesome with our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday below!

I always think about this but sometimes I wonder if Halloween links to Thanksgiving as much (or more) than Thanksgiving links to Christmas. Maybe it doesn’t. But maybe the connection between the 3 (and the distance) is just about as perfect as it gets and all 3 are linked.

The Halloween Season is the Heart of Autumn for me. Thanksgiving is the start of the Holiday Season. They’re all linked though, and the middle child is Thanksgiving. The one that holds both sides (Halloween and Christmas) together. Turkey friends I hope you all have a great day today. Have a great October Spook!

Happy Tom Turkey Day! It just feels so natural with football on TV tonight and the big TURKEY DAY just 5 weeks away!

It was thanks to MMC and these threads that I realized how much Halloween is part of the holiday season / holiday experience! I do agree that Thanksgiving is the "middle child", but I personally feel more of a connection between Halloween and Christmas, because I see the big change on November 1st, when everyone starts putting up lights! Thanksgiving unfortunately doesn't seem to get its "own" decorations, but I do love the fact that many Thanksgiving dinners are had while the Christmas tree is up in full regalia!

Have a great Thursday!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 34
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 7

Happy Fall Friday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 34 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 7 days to go until November. Our next milestone will arrive in 1-week folks. I think you know what it is. It is when we arrive to NOVEMBER and finish our 2nd countdown in this thread. Wow OUR month of Thanksgiving is now 1 week away. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our Fun Fact Friday below!

Plumbing Woes

Black Friday is also the biggest day of the year for plumbers. Due to the influx of garbage disposals, kitchen drains and toilets from multiple guests, plumbers have their busiest days right after Thanksgiving.

Talk about a different kind of fun fact. I never would have thought of this in a million years but it kind of makes sense. Anyone know a good plumber? Turkey friends I wish you well on this Friday as we head towards yet another fabulous October Weekend. Looking forward to Pure Terror Park on Sunday (my final Halloween Event of the season). Have a great Fall Friday!

I can definitely see that. On a side note, I kind of feel a little sad that "Black Friday" used to be such a big deal, now it is basically just another day on the calendar, except to those of us who remember "the good old days". As the retail apocalypse continues, I wonder If I will live to see the day where individual stores for the most part are no longer a thing. Sure, there will be hardware stores and car parts stores and stuff, but it seems like clothing stores and some of your small niche' shops continue closing down at an alarming rate!

Have a FABULOUS FRIDAY! We're at the doorstep of another beautiful October weekend!
