Thanksgiving 2024 Thread

Talk about some nice, round numbers...150 days to November (tomorrow), 90 days to the Bers, 25 weeks to Thanksgiving. This seems very much like the "sweet spot" in our countdowns: Not too far away, but still not too close, either. Still plenty of time left for planning and general enjoyment of the summer months.

I have some vacation days left to schedule and was thinking about taking a few days off the week before Thanksgiving. But then it occurred to me that it won't make Thanksgiving feel like it's coming any earlier if I do. It would be a waste of vacation days especially with Michelle still working. Maybe I'll use them this summer and save one for Veterans Day.

One of the things I think is shameful is that for most companies, Veterans Day is no longer a federal holiday.

I was just over in the Halloween thread and enjoying the 150 days to Halloween

Which means there is going to be a good Ole milestone in here tomorrow. That November countdown always piggybacks off of the Halloween countdown!

Happy Joyous June! Today folks we have 177 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 150 days to go until November, and 89 days left until The Bers. We have reached a big milestone today folks with the 150-Day Marker till The Bers. Big time marker. Our next milestone? Well, how about 2 milestones? We have the official Arrival of Summer on the 21st of this month. And the very next day on the 22nd we have Tom Turkey Day #7. Pretty awesome back-to-back milestones to build towards through a good chunk of this month of June. Turkey friends it is Tuesday, so you know what that means. It is time for our favorite thing which is Picture Day. Please share all your pictures of anything Thanksgiving/Autumn related. And we always enjoy posting these pictures as well as viewing them. Great times here on Tuesdays for sure. Turkey friends I hope your June is going ok so far. And I hope you have had a great start to it. Can’t complain here. And the weather has been mostly nice in June so far. Warm but that’s to be expected. Not anything too extreme (yet). And I hope you all have fun today. And make it a great day.
