Thanksgiving 2025 Thread

Happy Sunday all! Thanksgiving leftovers are long gone, weather has been a complete misery but my company Christmas party was the best. I had vendors and local parts store employees, the blood sucking tool reps and some local people that had purchased vehicles. I did a theme where all the boys received car Lego sets and the girls got whatever they had put of interest.

DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 327
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 266

Happy December Week! Today folks we move along and see that we have 353 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 327 days to go until November, and 266 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be in 3 days when we reach the 350-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. We move along in our Happy Holidays and folks it’s Monday. But it’s not just any Monday. This is the day where we truly begin the journey, in my humble opinion. We do our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week which stands at 50 weeks. You see? 50 always rings a bell with me. It means we now look at the extremely insane road and take step by step. I always look at the aftermath of a holiday and the time for reflection on it up until we hit 350 and although we will not hit that marker till Thursday for Thanksgiving you all know how much I feel that entire week of Thanksgiving is everything. And it’s the best week of the year. So now here we stand 50 weeks away. And we all think that’s crazy and yet someday we’ll look back and think back to this next spring or summer and be like what happened? So that’s why we don’t rush time here in this thread. But yes we begin our 50-week journey together step by step starting right now. Gobble Gobble. Have a great December Week!​
 
Did anyone track their total cost of Thanksgiving this year? I was going to but we ended up traveling.

We did not. I will ask Holly if she has anything on her apps or anything that would give us a rough idea of what was spent.

I do know that it SHOULD be down from last year because we had a smaller Thanksgiving dinner than normal because of so many people being sick, and also the fact that the decision was made at the 11th hour to still have Thanksgiving because we didn't know if John was going to get out the hospital in time for that day!

My personal cost for Thanksgiving 2023 was 2 bites of turkey and an olive!

Happy Double Digits December! Today folks we move along and see that we have 352 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 326 days to go until November, and 265 days left until The Bers. We move along in our Happy Holidays with our next milestone arriving the day after tomorrow. It will be the 350-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. Indeed. Yesterday felt good like the 50-week road I mentioned began to reach the best week of the year. Truly it is the best week I feel and I’m glad we kept our weekly Monday tradition of counting down once a week. It’s a great way to start the week. Now we move along into Tuesday with Picture Day. It’s awesome, isn’t it? I love Picture Day so please post your pictures here of Autumn and Thanksgiving. Whatever your favorites are let us see them as we dream of that time of year as we head officially towards winter soon. Technically it is still autumn but as many say, once Thanksgiving leaves us and December arrives it does start to feel more like winter than autumn. Turkey friends I hope your week got off to a good start and that it continues along into today. And I hope all of you are excited on the long road we are on as we have just taken the first few steps. A fresh start. Have a great Double Digits December!​

Happy Sliding Santa! Today folks we move along and see that we have 351 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 325 days to go until November, and 264 days left until The Bers. We move along in our Happy Holidays with our next milestone arriving tomorrow. It will be the 350-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. Wow. Then we begin the 50-week journey back to the best overall day of the year. Ironically, 50 weeks from today is maybe my favorite day of the year Thanksgiving Eve. And I wanted to do our Weekly Wednesday Poll on it today!

How was your Thanksgiving Eve this year?​

  • It was just another day.​
  • It was a special/fun day.​
  • It was good but nothing compared to Thanksgiving Day.​
  • It was as good as Thanksgiving Day itself.​
  • I am going with D. I know it may be crazy to say it but to me Thanksgiving Eve has become so big to me (the excitement level is on par with Christmas Eve). You all know it’s my one-day obsession of the year that most people don’t care about outside MMC. Have a great Sliding Santa!​
