Yeah the cold is getting old!I will have say A and agree with S-Snake. I am more than ready for some warmer weather.
The air yesterday morning had that "Winter" quality to it. It just felt different. The chill we had yesterday felt like Thanksgiving. Maybe even Christmas. It felt cold.
Yes! 50 degrees is a perfect Thanksgiving Day. I don't like warm Thanksgivings. For one thing, it's very disorienting to watch the parade and see everyone in New York wearing jackets, gloves, and long coats if the weather doesn't somewhat match here. It also throws off the whole "Christmas season" feeling. A magical day for sure, but just a little less magical when it's not cold outside.DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 231
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 205
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 144
Happy Double Digits April! Today folks we move along and see that we have 231 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 205 days left until November and 144 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Stress-Free Spring with our next milestone arriving in 5 days. It will be the 200-Day Marker till November. It’s Thursday folks so time for Thanksgiving Thought Thursday below!
The chill we had yesterday felt like Thanksgiving. Maybe even Christmas. It felt cold. I thought about it. That sun though is so much warmer now than it was around Thanksgiving. You feel the difference. One thing I really hope for is a nice Thanksgiving when it comes to the weather. Our normal high is close to 50 degrees on Thanksgiving Day and that is always my hope with sunshine. Of course, it doesn’t always happen as Mother Nature sometimes has other plans!
Weather is something you can’t control but it’s a big part of the holidays. I’ll never forget thinking about wearing shorts on Christmas Eve. It just felt wrong. And I don’t want to be shivering on Memorial Day either. I like the time of year to feel like the time of year it is. Turkey friends the best to you today. Have a great Double Digits April!
I always like 50 degrees on turkey day!Yes! 50 degrees is a perfect Thanksgiving Day. I don't like warm Thanksgivings. Ain't it the truth? I remember one Thanksgiving when the boys and I were hanging Christmas lights outside in shorts and a T-shirt. It just wasn't right.Gotta have a chilly/cold Thanksgiving otherwise it doesn't feel right.
Yeah definitely wouldn't be!I'm not a cranberry sauce fan, although I admit that Thanksgiving just wouldn't be the same without it. You gotta have that iconic can shape just wobbling on the table.
Oh I think I would have cried ....Ain't it the truth? I remember one Thanksgiving when the boys and I were hanging Christmas lights outside in shorts and a T-shirt. It just wasn't right.
Sounds fun! We're talking about doing a big Easter dinner next weekend and I still contend that Easter, while obviously being symbolic with Christmas and the religious aspect of it all, is certainly up there in terms of "Food Day" type events.
It will be the biggest dinner our family has had since Christmas 2024, and also it will be the "last" time that all of us sit down for a big meal until after Holly has our baby, which by the way is happening in just 47 days from now.

That's literally how I feel every day when I see that number get closer and closer. Have a great day!
