I will have to say A. I'm so used to B, it doesn't bother me any longer.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 231
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 205
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 144

Happy Double Digits April! Today folks we move along and see that we have 231 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 205 days left until November and 144 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Stress-Free Spring with our next milestone arriving in 5 days. It will be the 200-Day Marker till November. It’s Thursday folks so time for Thanksgiving Thought Thursday below!

The chill we had yesterday felt like Thanksgiving. Maybe even Christmas. It felt cold. I thought about it. That sun though is so much warmer now than it was around Thanksgiving. You feel the difference. One thing I really hope for is a nice Thanksgiving when it comes to the weather. Our normal high is close to 50 degrees on Thanksgiving Day and that is always my hope with sunshine. Of course, it doesn’t always happen as Mother Nature sometimes has other plans!

Weather is something you can’t control but it’s a big part of the holidays. I’ll never forget thinking about wearing shorts on Christmas Eve. It just felt wrong. And I don’t want to be shivering on Memorial Day either. I like the time of year to feel like the time of year it is. Turkey friends the best to you today. Have a great Double Digits April!

Morning turkey people! Looks like we have another cold start to the morning. We just had snow 2 days ago, this year seems to be very odd. Well the boys just lost their second Halloween pumpkin last night. 7 months out of a pumpkin is pretty good mileage..lol

Yes! 50 degrees is a perfect Thanksgiving Day. I don't like warm Thanksgivings. For one thing, it's very disorienting to watch the parade and see everyone in New York wearing jackets, gloves, and long coats if the weather doesn't somewhat match here. It also throws off the whole "Christmas season" feeling. A magical day for sure, but just a little less magical when it's not cold outside.

I always like 50 degrees on turkey day!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 230
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 204
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 143

Happy Fun Friday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 230 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 204 days left until November and 143 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Stress-Free Spring with our next milestone arriving in 4 days. It will be the 200-Day Marker till November. It’s Friday folks so time for our Fun Fact Friday below!

When did we start canning cranberries?

Cranberries were eaten by Native Americans and used as a potent red dye, but sweetened cranberry relish was almost certainly not on the first Thanksgiving table. The pilgrims had long exhausted their sugar supply by November 1621. Marcus Urann canned the first jellied cranberry sauce in 1912 and eventually founded the cranberry growers cooperative known as Ocean Spray.

I love cranberry sauce. It’s one of my favorite things about Thanksgiving. I didn’t realize how this started but that’s what Fun Fact Fridays are for is for us to learn something new every Friday. Turkey friends enjoy. Have a great time today getting ready for the weekend. Enjoy your Friday gobblers. Have a great Fun Friday!

Bon Appetit! This is one of my FAVORITE Christmas / Thanksgiving foods of all time! We usually have this every single year. For such a "simple" item, I feel like it really makes the meal.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday! TGIF!

Gotta have a chilly/cold Thanksgiving otherwise it doesn't feel right.

As a kid I never like cranberry sauce and now when it goes on sale dirt cheap at Thanksgiving, I stock up on it for the year. I also stock up on bags of whole cranberries to make homemade cranberry sauce and to make Orange Cranberry Bread.

Ain't it the truth? I remember one Thanksgiving when the boys and I were hanging Christmas lights outside in shorts and a T-shirt. It just wasn't right.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 229
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 203
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 142

Happy Dozen Days Of April! Today folks we move along and see that we have 229 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 203 days left until November, and 142 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Stress-Free Spring with our next milestone arriving on Tuesday with the 200-Day Marker till November. It’s Saturday folks so time for the 1st half of our Quiet Weekend Period. We deserve it after a long and hectic/crazy week I bet. And now there is some down time although I have a busy weekend planned. But still, it’s a different kind of busy and I have off next week Thursday through Sunday, so I’ll have plenty of extra time for more low-key stuff. Turkey friends I hope your week went well and thanks for checking out the thread here all week long with all five of our topics. The best to you as we move into the weekend. A great time to do some errands, cleaning, and having fun as well. I hope your weekend goes great and that you enjoy it to it’s fullest. Anyone starting to think turkey thoughts this spring? I think in about a month we’ll have our Halfway to Thanksgiving Turkey Feast. I think we’re going to do it in May. That’s my hope. It should be a lot of fun when the time comes. For now, enjoy it. Have a great Dozen Days Of April!

We're talking about doing a big Easter dinner next weekend and I still contend that Easter, while obviously being symbolic with Christmas and the religious aspect of it all, is certainly up there in terms of "Food Day" type events.

It will be the biggest dinner our family has had since Christmas 2024, and also it will be the "last" time that all of us sit down for a big meal until after Holly has our baby, which by the way is happening in just 47 days from now.

That's literally how I feel every day when I see that number get closer and closer. Have a great day!
