It’s D for me. I love the whole Christmas season and wouldn’t trade it for anything, but it does take a lot out of you, especially that last week.

DAYS TILL THE BERS: 53
Happy Double Digits July! Today folks we move along and see that we have 140 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 114 days left until November and 53 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone arriving on Sunday. It will be the 50-Day Marker till The Bers and will begin our annual 50-Day Preview of The Bers. It’s Thursday folks so time for our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday below!
When I think of The Bers if I think of one specific day I think of Thanksgiving. I know we talk about it sometimes but after Thanksgiving it almost feels like the holiday season edition of The Bers. I think the essence of The Bers is September 1 through Thanksgiving Day and when that day hits it feels like we are moving into another area than the heart and soul of The Bers.
I always call it The Road to Thanksgiving and that’s what The Bers is to me. After that I am fully into the holiday season, and I look at it very differently, as most of us do. I have to say though I am very excited for those 50 days of previewing what’s to come. I think it’s a reminder to us all how amazing The Bers is. Have a great Double Digits July!

No way. I like watching it on TV. I wouldn't want to be there.
I used to love watching the parade growing up, but it seems in the last decade or so it's more listening to people talk and the lip-synced performances they stop for. I guess I never grew out of my childhood phase of not caring what the grown-ups had to say and just wanted to see the floats and the balloons and all the costumed people walking by and waving. But, that's just me.

During the Ottoman Empire, guinea fowl were exported from East Africa via Turkey to Europe. Europeans called the birds “turkey-cocks” or “turkey-hens” due to the trade route. Happy Dozen Days Of July! Today folks we move along and see that we have 138 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 112 days left until November and 51 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone arriving tomorrow on Sunday. It will be the 50-Day Marker till The Bers and you will check out in the Hang Out our annual preview beginning. It’s Saturday folks so time for the first half of our Quiet Weekend Period. Can you believe the quiet in the air? Well it’s pretty quiet here but you know how things go on Saturdays usually. Lots of chores like laundry and food shopping that need to get done. I’ll do my best to stay on top of those things. And then we’re celebrating my mom’s birthday all weekend. It should be a mostly laid-back and fun family weekend which I will take any day over a crazy running around weekend. Turkey friends I wish you the best this Saturday and I hope your weekend is going well so far. Make the most of it on this Saturday. Hard to believe the 4th of July is over a week gone isn’t it? And it looks to be getting even hotter coming up this week for several days but really it’s the humidity that makes the difference.
