DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 82
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 21
Happy Summer Week! Today folks we move along and see that we have 108 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 82 days left until November and 21 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone not arriving this week. It will happen in 8 days with the 100 Day Marker till Thanksgiving. It’s Monday folks so time for our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. That now stands at 15 weeks. Wow. Pretty amazing isn’t halfway through the teens now. Turkey friends I trust you had a great weekend and that this coming week you’ll have the best week you can. I hope you are all doing well here in summer. It’s going to heat up again here a bit but it’s summer so let summer do what summer does. It was a beautiful week last week here. Some may say still too warm for them but it was just right for me. I loved it. Of course, we all crave some of those autumn temperatures eventually in due time. For now we stick in summer and do our thing enjoying the longer days still. The sun does set now before 8PM here. I’m not sure the next time we’ll see an 8PM sunset again here but I am betting it won’t be till after Easter sometime. Turkey friends the best to you today. Happy Monday! Yes, on the subject of the sunsets, I noticed last night a little before 8:30PM, it was already pretty dark here. Looking at the charts, the sun will set at 7:45 at the end of the month, and we will have lost over an hour of daylight in August. Next month, the sun will set at 7:00pm!

Last night on the news they said Saturday was the last night it would stay light until 8pm..the next time will be May 2026. Another sign that we are knocking on the Bers door!
Yep. I’m gonna have to start mowing earlier now if I want to finish before dark. I usually mow in the evenings because it’s cooler, and it takes me about two hours to give the whole front and back yards the full treatment. This past weekend I started at 6 p.m. and just barely finished with enough daylight left to see. Next time I’ll start at 5:30 or even 5:00.

Happy Dozen Days Of August! Today folks we move along and see that we have 107 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 81 days left until November and 20 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone arriving with the 100-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. It’s going to be another big one friends. But that isn’t for another week. It’s Tuesday folks so time for our Picture Day. Who doesn’t love Picture Day? I sure do. I know all of you do as well and it’s when we start settling into our week so definitely post your pictures of Autumn and Thanksgiving today here on this Tuesday in August. I have to say I am totally enjoying August. It’s getting hotter again and more humid but not quite as bad as July. I think it’s sort of like the cold in February it just doesn’t seem quite as bad (usually) as the cold in January. Stuck in the depths of winter or summer it can feel more extreme than ever before.
