Happy Middle Day Of August! Today folks we move along and see that we have 103 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 77 days left until November and 16 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone arriving on Tuesday. It wil be the 100-Day Marker till Thanksgiving and it will be the FINAL time we have triple digits ever again in this thread. It's Saturday folks so time for our Quiet Weekend Period Part 1 of 2. It will be that here as mostly it's a chores, errands and relaxing kind of Saturday here. Sounds perfect if you ask me. I could go for more days like that and Saturdays seem to deliver that a good amount of times. Then we'll have a nice dinner and relax this evening. I'll take that. It was a long week wasn't it? I definitely think it was and I'm glad we can rest as we move into the heart of the month of August. We know what's coming soon enough but for now I focus on August as it has been an underrated month of the year. Too many people look past it. But I was thinking yesterday how these 3 summer months are still fun to me despite the heat and humidity. I'm still a summer guy. But we're all autumn people. We know that. The counts here are beginning to look "skinny". The same thing is happening in the Halloween thread. Once those triple digit counts are gone, there's almost a slightly mournful feeling because we don't get time back, and once the counts run out we are started over again!

But nobody is feeling bad about anything right now because we are basically on CRUISE CONTROL towards The Bers, and by proxy, The Big 3!

Happy 2nd Half Of August! Today folks we move along and see that we have 102 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 76 days left until November and 15 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone arriving the day after tomorrow. It will be on Tuesday friends. It’s Sunday now though and that’s what we focus on the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. It’s not so quiet as we’re heading to the city with the Sunday Group but it will sure be fun as it always is. Turkey friends I hope your weekend is going well. It’s going to be another humid day here. It’s been pretty hot and humid all week long. But we have some nicer weather ahead. For now, we continue our sweating. But we don’t sweat so much thanks to the great invention known as a/c. Turkey friends I hope your are enjoying your summer and weekend so far. We will approach a brand-new week soon and you know that we’ll have big topics coming all week long. For now, we relax int his thread and try to enjoy the rest of our weekend. Weekends are like gold. Today might be our very last "scorcher/heatwave" type day. It's going to reach 90 degrees, but tonight and through tomorrow the temps go off a cliff. Starting Monday, no day over the next 10 days reach 80 degrees! And the long range forecast looks like this actually sticks around and MAYBE we slide right into September 1st enjoying that beautiful "Bers Weather".

It's been a hot and humid week here!

Happy Cooler August! Today folks we move along and see that we have 101 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 75 days left until November and 14 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone arriving tomorrow on Tuesday. It will be the 100-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. That will be the end of our triple digits in this thread EVER AGAIN. Sorry to scare you. It’s Monday (hopefully that doesn’t scare you). I like new weeks. And I like our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week which now stands at 14 weeks. That’s right my friends. We are moving along in our teens. I think it’s been a fun ride here in this thread this summer and we are starting to move to the latter stages of summer now. But I am still enjoying my summer despite this weekend me saying some not so nice things about the humidity under my breath. When people say they don’t like summer because they don’t like the heat, I honestly think most of them mean they don’t like the humidity. If it’s hot and the sun is out, you can find shade somewhere normally and it feels nice. If you get a little breeze here and there it feels good. But you can’t hide from the humidity outside. It’s everywhere. Turkey friends enjoy your Monday. Have a great Cooler August!​

Happy Terrific Tuesday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 100 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 74 days left until November and 13 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone having arrived today (in case you didn’t notice). It is the 100-Day Marker till Thanksgiving. Woohoo we made it. Our next milestone will be the Home Stretch till The Bers and that will happen on Friday. Do you seriously believe that? I don’t but it’s coming friends as we are less than 2 weeks from the official start of The Bers. It’s Tuesday folks so time for our Picture Day. I wish you all well today and hope you help with posting some pictures of Fall and Thanksgiving. That is what we need right now as we ease closer to The Bers season which is coming up like I said in less than 2 weeks. This is gonna be me soon enough! My brother and I talk every year about buying a legendary turducken, just like John Madden talks about, and this may just be the year that we do it when we have our "separate" Thanksgiving due to work / family schedules. A chicken stuffed into a duck, stuffed into a Turkey!
