DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 337
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 311
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 250

Happy Christmas! Today folks we move along and see that we have 337 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 311 days to go until November, and 250 days left until The Bers. We have reached our 250-Day Milestone till the Bers. Indeed folks it’s Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and your families and check back here tomorrow for our Tom Turkey Day #1 which is our next milestone. We move along in our Happy Holidays which extends through the end of the year with our Weekly Wednesday Poll below!

What’s the one thing Thanksgiving has over Christmas?

  • It’s a better day overall.
  • The Macy’s Parade beats any Christmas show on today.
  • The meal is better on Thanksgiving Day than Christmas.
  • None of the above because Christmas is better in every way than Thanksgiving.
  • I’m picking A. I think it’s better overall only because as we always talk about it is the beginning of what lead us to today (Christmas) while Christmas is the ending and by tonight some people will already be thinking wow is it really all over? But my friends enjoy your Christmas. Merry Christmas to all my turkey friends. I always say this also but Christmas only is a 1-month wait from Thanksgiving but Thanksgiving is an 11-month wait from Christmas. Have a great Merry Christmas!

I think I have to go with A for this one also. The Disney Christmas parade that airs today is pretty boring and is more like a two-hour infomercial (although you could argue the case that the Macy’s parade becomes more of an infomercial every year), and the football games that occur on Thanksgiving Day aren’t limited to streaming on Netflix (what was the NFL thinking?). Also, there’s no dog show today.

And yeah, even the meal is better on Thanksgiving, in my humble opinion. We will have an “almost” Thanksgiving-like spread when we go to my wife’s grandmother’s house later for dinner, but it’ll be ham instead of turkey and several key components of Thanksgiving — such as the cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie — will be missing. Boo.

I would usually go with "B" but the parade has got weird the last few years. I have been getting burnt out on turkey the last two years so Christmas dinner is a nice change of pace. This year its cheeseburgers, homemade fries, onion rings, cheeseburger corn bread casserole and crab stuffed shrimp.

My answer would be "A". I guess at 40 years old, now knowing what I know about "The Feels", and the PCB's, and the PFHB's, I can appreciate that Thanksgiving day is the 100% better overall day. Mainly just because of how you feel after Thanksgiving is over. It is so different than how we feel tonight.

Me personally, tonight may be the most "unhappiest" sleep of the entire calendar year. Tomorrow starts the long journey forward, we won't see it until the new counts go up, but make no mistake we are starting our long journey back. And I'm ready!

ONCE AGAIN, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 336
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 310
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 249

Happy 364 Shopping Days Till Christmas! Today folks we move along and see that we have 336 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 310 days left until November, and 249 days to go until The Bers. We have reached another milestone today friends as we have reached Tom Turkey Day #1. What a feeling it is to be here isn’t it? Our next milestone is going to be NEXT YEAR. Don’t worry that’s in 6 days friends. And that is when January will arrive. And you know what else? We will no longer say NEXT Thanksgiving. We will say THIS Thanksgiving because we’ll be in the current year of it. Turkey friends it is Thursday so time for our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday below!

One thing I love about Thanksgiving is that when it ends the BEST TIME OF YEAR begins. There is no ounce of sadness about it. It’s so weird. I would even say there is more sadness when Halloween ends than Thanksgiving for someone like me. And that’s not because I don’t love Thanksgiving (of course you all know I do more than anything) but it’s because that day really transitions us fully into the best time of year which is the holiday season!

That is one thing Thanksgiving has over Christmas and any other day of the year. When it ends the best time of year is just beginning. Turkey friends believe it or not it will be Thanksgiving again before it will be Christmas again. Have a great 364 Shopping Days Till Christmas!

The two "saddest" days of the Holidays really are when Halloween ends and Christmas night / Christmas "ends". I think everyone loves the atmosphere and October vibes and nobody wants them to end. Thanksgiving is in the middle of all that and when Thanksgiving ends, it's Christmas everywhere the next day. I totally 100% agree.

That's just another thing that makes Thanksgiving so great. I look forward to counting it down with you all.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 335
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 309
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 248

Happy Christmas Build Down! Today folks we move along and see that we have 335 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 309 days left until November and 248 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on Wednesday when we reach a brand-new month (and a brand-new year). It’s going to be big for sure. And then we can say THIS Thanksgiving instead of NEXT. We still are in our Happy Holidays portion of this thread and below please check out our weekly Fun Fact Friday!

According to a survey by Instacart, 75% of Americans ages 21 and older drink wine with their Thanksgiving dinner. Red wines were the most popular choice, although no word on whether respondents preferred cabernet, merlot, syrah or a different grape altogether.

I’m not a drinker but I drink Pepsi with my Thanksgiving dinner. But I can see a lot of people drinking wine with their turkey dinner. Do you? Anyway, my turkey friends I hope you all are still enjoying the holiday season. I know Christmas is over but these days after it feel like the holiday season still. Turkey friends the best to you here on this Friday. Get ready for the last weekend of the year. Have a great Christmas Build Down!

I do not drink wine at Thanksgiving or Christmas and don't consider myself a drinker, so there might only be a couple of times a year I drink a beer / wine, etc...

Sparkling Cider is the name of the game for our family dinners!
