Happy Summer Sunday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 158 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 132 days left until November and 71 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone set to arrive on Thursday when Tom Turkey Day #7 arrives. It’s Sunday folks so time for the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. It’s been a laid-back weekend here so far for the most part and it looks to continue. Kind of planned this one well with the heat picking up. Although I do love summer like most people I don’t really need 95-100 degrees to enjoy summer but sometimes that is part of summer you have to deal with. Turkey friends I hope your weekend is going well. And I hope you are enjoying your weekend. These are the days where you really need to dream about those cooler autumn days that are all in front of us. It’s a hot one for many folks and only going to get hotter so pretend you are in Alaska with snow and an igloo around you to cool you off. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far and that it continues right through the second half of it. And stay cool. That is important especially in these early days of summer when it gets this hot it makes it feel like this might be a long summer. Have a great Summer Sunday!

We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone set to arrive on Thursday when Tom Turkey Day #7 arrives. It’s Sunday folks so time for the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. Hot early is like when you're in early winter and it's too cold too soon makes you wonder if it's going to be a long summer/winter when it happens (sometimes yes sometimes no)!
My niece just moved into a new house and it has a three season room and we were dreaming of sitting out there this Fall! The heat really took it out of me today so thinking about a cool evening and hot beverage instead of a hot evening and a cold drink!

It’s Monday folks so time for our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. And that now stands at 22 weeks. Double 2’s folks yet it seems not long ago we were Double 3’s and even Double 4’s. Let’s just not think about Double 1’s (we will have cracked The Bers by then). It’s hot folks. It’s summer. And it’s going to be hot (very hot even). But hopefully you stay cool in some a/c or take a swim in a pool. Or just enjoy that cool shower when you take it. Throw in an iced drink and enjoy that. And anything else you enjoy to stay cool I hope that you get to do it. Turkey friends the best to you and I hope you are doing well. It’s been a good weekend here and I’m off today so my 3-day weekends are in full effect summer mode. It’s pretty amazing and awesome where we are on the calendar and all these hot days we now will face only will make us smile more and more thinking of Autumn and The Bers. Very similar to how I feel in winter thinking about the warmer/milder days in Spring. Turkey friends enjoy. Have a great Summer Week!

We're actually having family dinner on Thursday night so it will be like a Tom Turkey day on steroids! Anytime we are down at my Grandma's house eating dinner, it feels like Thanksgiving / Christmas. Love those feels! Have a great day!
I was just telling my wife last night that I really need to smoke a turkey soon for Thanksgiving practice. I want to be able to go into the big day feeling confident, and smoking a huge turkey is much different from smoking a chicken. So turkey might be on the menu again very soon.
Except the thought of opening the oven doesn't!
True! I'm grilling hamburgers tonight.
