Thanksgiving 2026 Thread

I am still going A but it is really close. I still think Thanksgiving is the best single day holiday and the Christmas Eve/Christmas Day is best multiple day holiday. And of course Christmas Eve is the most magical day of the year and especially the evening!

It is a C for me too but I am very close to saying Thanksgiving Day because that launches the holiday season.

I'm going to be the fly in the mayonnaise. I think A - Thanksgiving is the better all around day. The more "pure" day, if you will.

Christmas Eve is special in it's own way, and there is true magic, but the emotions are totally different as you exit Thanksgiving and enter into the full Christmas Season. Christmas Eve obviously has the "hard stop" waking up the next day and knowing that only mere hours remain of all that magic.

Walmart, Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, and Hobby Lobby have Valentines and Easter out.

Yep, I just saw Easter stuff yesterday.

I am going with "D" and its not really a actual day as much as its a weather change. Its usually around the 1st and 2nd week of October. It gets cooler, leaves are changing,pumpkin and apple stands are going full tilt. From Nov till Thanksgiving morning I cant wait for dinner, but I realize fall is now over and Christmas season is here. Christmas Eve I now know its over in 1 day and its time to try and chase whats over with.
