I just found out the other day that the Marching Band for the University I work at in Eau Claire, WI is going to be in the Parade this year!! So exciting!

Happy Week Into October! Today folks we move along and see that we have 50 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 25 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone arriving today. It’s a big one folks as we enter the Final Fifty till Thanksgiving. It’s hard to believe, isn’t it? Yet, 50 days is still a very, very long stretch. It’s Wednesday folks so time for our Weekly Wednesday Poll below!

Ooooh, this is a tough one. I'm going to go with "A". I could have chose easily "B" or "C", but I love Halloween candy, and I think it has the best seasonal advertising / packaging more than any other holiday!

Happy Old School October! Today folks we move along and see that we have 49 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 24 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone set to arrive 2 weeks from today when we reach a Double Milestone Day. It is rare folks, but we will have Tom Turkey Day #11 (the final one before Thanksgiving) and the Home Stretch till November. Talk about a big-time doubleheader of milestones. It’s going to be big folks so be here for that. But we focus on today being Thursday and it’s time for our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving. It now stands at 7 weeks. Awesome. Lucky #7. I hope you are all enjoying your week so far. The weather is improving here and getting nicer (and milder). We’ve had some chilly mornings this week but hey it’s October so morning chill is normal this time of year. The best to you my turkey friends. I hope you all enjoy your day as much as you can. C for sure. Not that A & B are not great ... They are but I love being outside in the fall which makes Fall/Halloween activities perfect.
I have talked about Thanksgiving with DH and the kids, but I have yet to speak to anyone in the extended family yet. Usually, I would already reach out to them by now but too many times in the past I would be told Don't know or I will let you know then I would have to ask again when it got much closer. So, this year I am taking a different approach, I am not reaching out to the extended family with the exception of 1 and will wait to see if the reach out to me.

Happy Double Digits October! Today folks we move along and see that we have 47 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 22 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestones arriving in a dozen days. It will be Tom Turkey Day #11 and the Home Stretch till November. Both are awesome. And both will be big when we reach it. It’s Saturday folks so time for the 1st half of our Quiet Weekend Period. I have a 3-day weekend actually and I know some of you do as well. Nice to get a longer break here in the heart of autumn which is really where we are now. There is nothing quite like this time of year. I know when the holiday season does arrive it will blow my mind away. But still, I think this time of year is always in my heart and soul year-round more than the holiday season even. I feel like I could live this every day of the year and not get tired of it but the holidays I would, to be honest. Maybe that’s the difference to me. But I appreciate all of you. And I hope you all visit SS Halloween Thread because these are the days and weeks that we wait all year for. As fans of Halloween and the Spooky Season it’s the best time of year. It’s amazing how we saw those signs back in July in the heat of summer and still enjoying the season all these months later. Have a great Double Digits October!

Happy Saturday, friends! I don't want to "look past" Halloween but I see a lot of Thanksgiving stuff pop up now on my Facebook, and I'm starting to get excited. I have a lot of days off scheduled in November, we will be out of work more days that month than any other month of the year.

Happy Saturday all! We made it back home last night after a successful hunt. I got the biggest brown bear of my life. We ended up with 2 brown bears, 1 moose and 2 elk in Montana. Looks like its back to the old grind again waiting for turkey day.
