I just do not get into scary movies and haven't watched too many but I am still stuck on the old one, The Exorcist. That one and the Exorcist of Emily Rose was the last one I watched and that was probably 8 months ago. If any scary movie is a slasher film I will not watch it at all!

I love Halloween but tend to stick to watching the animated Halloween shows like, It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and Garfield's Halloween. I like the less scary stuff.

but have never heard of Stir of Echoes.

Stir of Echoes is actually a pretty good flick. Stars Kevin Bacon...I'm not big into gore either. I despise the Hostel and Saw movies. The rare exception are the new Halloween movies directed by Rob Zombie, they're pretty rough, but I've enjoyed the original Halloween flicks so much...I just try and overlook it.

Those are classic!!!!

I like movies that build tension and suspense. Those are rare this day and time. Also, a big fan of older black and white flicks, too.

The Mist, film of a Stephen King story. Verrrry creepy!

Not a big scary movie person. I remember when The Exorcist came out, I was about 11 years old, the tv ads gave me nightmares. It took me about 35 years before I actually sat down and watched that movie. I watched it with my wife and her son, that movie gives me chills to this day. Anything that has to do with satan freaks me out.

I love horror movies, but I don't find them scary as I don't watch the ones that will bother me :D The last horror movie I saw was "The Mist" - the novella by Stephen King was way better, imo.

I don't like the Saw or Hostel movies, either. Really liked Stir of Echoes and Halloween by RZ - going to see H2 on Wednesday.

I can't hadle movies about satan or demon possession either. Way too scary!

The last scary movies I saw were 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. I'm a sucker for zombie movies and was slightly dissapointed by these 2.

hm....don't watch scary movies often. I think the last one I watched was The Hills Have Eyes. Stupidest. Movie. Ever.

"The Fog" (newer version). Love it for the scenery on Vancouver Island alone - we visited Tofino last year and the film captures the atmosphere perfectly (apart from the ghosts).

:snowball:

I don't like scary movies in particular. I hate the way "scary" movies have gone in the last few decades...Gore is not scary, it's disturbing. The way I see it, there can be enough sadness and bad things in life as it is, and I don't need to watch movies about that.

On that note, the most recent "scary" movie I watched was 'Halloweentown' this past weekend. Yeah, I know, it's not really scary, but some parts were pretty creepy.

I LOVE 'It's the Great Pumpkin'!

Last scary movie I saw was scary movie 4 (no pun intended) don't really watch 'horror' movies are mostly the same.

I just watched Trick r' Treat and it was awesome!!!!
