Back to work today; in one way I'm looking forward to it, but I could use two more days.

Might go see the grandkids for an overnight on the long weekend coming up, don't want to leave the cat alone too long.

Keep a merry thought in your head -surprise-

Happy Final Days of July MMC! Back to work for me. Time to put some 5 day weeks together. And my focus now is strictly on the Bers and Labor Day Weekend. Not to rush it but now I'm really focused and realizing even though this year has gone so fast it really is coming now and we must be ready for the best time of year to arrive. Have a great Final Days of July Monday!

Good morning MMC!
It’s going to be hot & humid today with chance of a pop up storm this afternoon. Rocky goes to the groomer this morning. Other than that it will be a typical day of errands and chores. I’m going to take a break from grilling tonight and make a cheese stuffed meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!!!
xx

Good morning, friends! Got home from a trip to New Orleans for work. It is definitely a unique place. Didn't get to sight see much, but did make a pass down Bourbon Street.

Wow.

Saw a parade....

Wow.

Needless to say, that street should probably have an age limit of 30.
:eek::eek::D

I just learned that my cousin's husband has Metastic Cancer that started out as untreated Prostrate cancer. He didn't articulate his symptoms well enough for the doctors to consider prostrate cancer as the problem so they treated him for other lesser ailments over the last two years. He also has a kidney stone the size of a golf ball. The cancer has spread all over his body. No treatment offered, yet they are optimistic that he could live another three years. I used to live with my cousin and one of her sisters during the last two years of College and we've always been close. I feel helpless. Hope to connect in person over the summer with them and their two grown sons.

Also, my brother's roommate passed away suddenly from a unexpected heart failure. Her daughter is getting married next weekend and they will proceed with the wedding as planned and celebrate her life later in the summer.

Sometimes it's easier to accept the loss of life when there was some sort of notice like with terminal cancer, but to have a heart attack in your 40's is shocking.

I feel for her husband and those that are feeling devastated from her loss. I don't think I ever met her; she and her husband bought a place with my brother and a fourth roommate to save on costs of Condos in Toronto. They have a beautiful place like an old Vincent Price movie - filled with retro decor and a great spot for jamming parties.
Such awful news about your family and friends, I'm so sorry! I had a heart attack in my 40's, too. I'm so thankful to have survived, and to be a part of my family. I'll be sending prayers!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

I spent the weekend nursing Lulu while Nancy and Elizabeth spent the weekend on St. Simons Island. What the..? o_O Actually, Lu was a pretty good patient. I had to carry her outside for her business, and lift her onto her bed, but we also rode around town on the golf cart and ate a few chips.

Still, I'm looking forward to the girls coming home today! :D

Lu has a vet follow-up appointment today. I hope y'all have a great day! :)

Good Morning, One-Week-Distant Counters.

Ah, it's quite true. One week to go to a truly major Milestone marker.
Details will be presented after the daily count numbers have been released.

Here they are:
Days to the Season: 107
Days to Christmas Day: 149

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY, Folks. The 100-Day Season Window will be thrust open, revealing a beautiful landscape full of DOUBLE-DIGIT Season count numbers, marking our way along the fast track to Christmas Season 2019!

The warmth creeps back in but the humidity remains at fairly good levels, meaning our weekend was rather pleasant by mid summer standards.
Today? Ninety-One for the predicted high with a zero percent chance of rain.
Our present week-starting thermometer reading is 72 degrees.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Troopers!

That's a nice honour; I was sad because none of my relatives picked me to be their children's God-Mother, but they picked one of their sisters or spouses sister. My mom said, "They didn't have to pick you because they know you will look out for and spoil their kids anyway." Well, she was a God-Mother to two cousins and three childhood friends.

I know what you mean, though! My sister is my daughter's godmother and she's always said I would be her daughter's and she'll be two in December, but now she's not sure if she going to have her baptized. Without going to say so, I'm the unofficial godmother to her, but it's still nice to be picked and have the rule in a child's life.

Awe, what a cutie! Hope she continues to feel better! Hope the girls had a great trip!

Good morning all! Happy Monday! Not much going on here today. The heat & humidity are starting to kick back up here again. I am off for my last of four before I go back tomorrow, but it won't be bad, because I work one, then I'm for two days again! We have a few errands to run, then I plan on coming home and just staying in. We also have my niece today, since it's Monday. DH works tonight too, so the kids probably just watch a movie or play some boards games.

Hope you all have a great day!

Thanks, Ladies - he sure worried me, but I'm inclined to think it was stress. Thinking back, Sandy told me she had to wash his blanket and Gary's top that I left for comfort because he retreated to the cage the first night to sleep and wound up having diarrhea in the cage. The diarrhea didn't clear up for two days, but he made it to the litter box the other times.

He let me sleep in until 4:45 this morning; I think he'll finally adjust to "springing ahead" and before you know it we will be "falling back".

He's been using his new cat bed more than the big mattress lately. He isn't blocking the doorway so I can't leave.

Hopefully the stress is gone and he can relax.

Keeping you both in my prayers, Auntie. I'm glad he is doing much better!!

Oh, no. Prayers going up for all, Auntie. Sending love and hugs your way. {{{HUGS}}}

Lulu got a good report from the vet, and he took her cast off. She was literally vibrating with fear (she does the same thing at the groomer's place), and I was saying "It's ok, it's alright, Lu." I noticed the two vets looked at each other sideways, and I admitted that I talk to her like she's a child. They didn't say anything, but they smiled. LOL

What can I say? She's my baby! :p

Awe, poor pup! You think they would be used to it? That’s strange. My vets talk to my girls the entire time too, just like I would, just like I would! Hope she continues to do well!
