Sounds great; enjoy!

It's too hot to cook so I'm ordering in tonight.

4 hour drive with my dad went well; not much conversation, but he got to listen to the 50's and 60's on Sirius - I'm trying to convince him to take my car next time we venture off somewhere, but we'll see. He likes his Toyota Matrix.

Hope O'Malley is feeling better!

Well, well, well.
Look what just went up at Crabtree.

I can relate to your dad because I love our Matrix too.

Morning all
Looks like it is set to be another warm day here.
We have had a few days where the temps have been up at 32 (69.8) which for us in little old Wales is practically tropical! Everyone whinging its too hot and my 3 dogs dont know what to do with themselves. Thankfully it seems cooler today.

Husband is still on his holidays so has another week off and has driven me mad for the last 3 days because we have just sat about the house in the nice weather, so yesterday I decided to go for a walk and my boy asked to come with me (hes 15) we had a nice hour long walk in the sunshine, ive been bitten by a horsefly, my fat legs rubbed together but it was nice to have some quality time with just him.

Im now on FB watch to see when the illuminiescent plankton arrives at our local beach as the kids and I would like to see it but it will be a late night visit to see the waves turn blue and illuminated.

Hope everyone is ok.
hugs to all who need them
congrats/happy birthday etc to all who have had them

Im off to clear my 66 alerts!

Hope O'Malley is feeling better!

Good Morning - thanks for asking - he's still lounging on the floor - he's found a few cool spots; I have fans going, but he doesn't like it when they blow his fur so he is sleeping in the hallway half on the carpet runner and half on the floor. Using the carpet runner for a pillow mostly.

O'Malley hasn't coughed anything up since yesterday afternoon so I'm hoping it's just the heat. I keep telling him to drink more water, but he's a cat with cattitude so he won't drink if he doesn't want to.
He ate his full small can of salmon and trout this morning. today I'm trying him on moist kibble so I can get more water into him - he seems to be after the juice/gravy.

Stay Jolly!

And Santa is supposed to be there tomorrow!

During my Sunday drive on a Friday, I spotted a home on the HWY passing near a small town that had a stuffed Santa and Mrs. C. on their front porch with a plastic reindeer and candy cane near the railing. If I wasn't going 95 at the time, I would have snapped a photo. I haven't seen decorations on sale for Christmas in July this year, but last year several stores had them on display.

HoHoHo - no Eggnog morning +j

One year Sobey's had Eggnog mid-July - not this year. Bah!

I have a few errands to run, getting my hair cut, getting laundry done, etc.

Have to make something for a few lunches at work this week, likely soup or Chili - might wait until tomorrow.

Have to fill another tote with Christmas items I've purchased over the last month or two.

Enjoy your weekend and keep a merry thought in your head!-surprise-

Happy Last Weekend of July MMC! We have a beautiful Saturday morning here which is my favorite time of the week. I'm feeling better. But it's been several days of trying to rest more than usual to get there. I went to the fireworks last night and they were awesome. Just love summer time. But I have to say that I am starting to get excited for the Bers. Have a great Last Weekend of July!

You just never know where or when Christmas will pop up!

Good Morning, Oasis Enjoyers.
These weekends. They are oases of rest and relaxation.
Thank goodness for them!

Thank goodness for our count, as well:
Days to the Season: 109
Days to Christmas Day: 151

And a special thanks for this:
The 100-Day Season Milestone marker's distance is now down to NINE days.
That's SINGLE DIGITS, Folks.
(You asked for it - you got it!)

A very slow warming trend is under way, but it is still way more pleasant than it was last weekend, primarily because our humidity is down.
Today will see another 1 or 2 degrees of temperature added, but it will continue dry and sunny.
We begin this little weekend oasis at 70 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Sensational Saturday, Everybody.
And enjoy your own little part of the oasis!

Good morning all!

Lazy Saturday here. The heat is building back in today and tomorrow, so I plan on staying inside as much as possible. I have some things to finish up for football rosters and things like that, so staying in will be easy.

I need to start thinking about the upcoming school year. I need to start some planning and converting. I need to convert some tests and such to a website format. I also need to start working on getting my Google Classroom sites setup. Nothing difficult, just time consuming and not real fun.

We went out last evening and bough my wife a new computer. Well, sort of. They said they had what we wanted in stock, however, that was not the case. So, it is being delivered to the house on Monday. It is a little more computer than she originally wanted, but with sale price and discount it made sense. Plus, it will not need to be replaced or upgraded for a while. The main thing is that she is happy with it!

Well, everyone have a wonderful day!

Merry Saturday!

The contractor was here telling me that there was still some work that needed to be done on the roof as there wasn't time to finish the flashing around the gables on Thursday. Friday his van broke down so the tree wasn't taken down, either. Monday the crew will be here to finish up the work. At least I can sleep in on Sunday. :)

Be merry and stay cool and hydrated!

Good Saturday afternoon! The heat and humidity are back but it is manageable for now. I fell asleep after lunch, napping on the sofa, when Loki abruptly woke me up letting us know LOUDLY that his friend Biscuit from accross the hall was going out for a walk.

After running errands this morning, with more to do tomorrow and Monday evening as we get ready at work for our company's vice-president's visit on Tuesday and celebrations for our store's first anniversary on Wednesday, I'm just taking it easy this afternoon. It'll be a very busy work week but then I get to enjoy a two-week vacation starting August 3rd. Counting down the days...

Have a great day everyone!

Good afternoon! Pretty laid back day here. I'm just laying here reading right now. It will soon be dinner time and not planning on doing anything this evening either. The kids are playing together, so I'll probably continue to read or watch Hallmark. Hope you are all having a great day!

Santa (in summer gear) visits us at Crabtree for "Christmas in July".
Not quite the same as "Winter Santa" but it's still nice to see the big guy!
