Thank you for asking about my brother, sugar! He starts 10 days of radiation treatment for the brain and then he starts the chemo for all the other stuff. He is so ready to get this over and done. His PT is coming along. He can walk a bit with a walker and the strength in his hand is improving. Still a ways to go before he can come home. He is upbeat and doing all he can to beat the disease!

Getting a new roof put on the house has been somewhat of a catastrophe. There was a lot of damage to the porch which was expected after all the ice build-up the previous few years, but the contractor decided to go with all new decking on that entire side of the house and the cost started to rise. Then there were four layers of previous roofing to remove, not the one originally estimated. More costs. After all that, last night the tree in front of the house split in two so there was the added tree removal fee. Tomorrow, the two-day job, which has grown to five, will finally be over!! Happy Dance!!!

Besides the roofers being gone, there are a few plus sides. The roof that has been finished looks great and the tree I hate will be mostly gone. More importantly, Palmer can come out of hiding. :)

A happy Christmas movie is definitely on tap for tonight!!

We had the same thing with our DD yesterday after day one of all day band camp. I stayed at home with her yesterday and she went back today. We've told her to keep drinking the water and she should be okay.

Good evening, friends. I am truly spent. It’s only Pines Day, as we all know. I have one day left of work yet. I can’t wait until tomorrow at 3 pm. I only work an 8 hour shift. It’s been so busy lately. My next vacation isn’t until the middle of September, but it TRULY can’t come soon enough! Hope you’re all having a great week and all is well with you all!

It’s going to be a nice day, sunny with highs near 85 degrees. Typical day for me, I have to run a couple of errands and I’ll be working on my daily chores. I definitely plan on getting outside to enjoy the weather. I’ll take Rocky for a couple of walks and hang out by the pool for a bit. I’m going to grill chicken for dinner. I also plan on making potato salad and corn on the cob. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day!!!

Good Morning, Eve of the Eve-ers.
Yes, it's the eve of Weekend Eve. (AKA, Thursday)
We finish the work week tomorrow, then on to the next-to-the-last weekend of our triple-digit Season count.

Days to the Season: 111
Days to Christmas Day: 153

That approaching 100-Day Season Window has now drawn to within 11 days of us. SINGLE DIGITS from the day after tomorrow!
Then, won't things start to move quickly!

Really quite nice here yesterday with a high of 84, but with the humidity much lower, it felt cooler. And no precipitation at all, as an added bonus.
Today will be a couple of degrees warmer, with still a very low chance of rain.
Our temperature to commence today, stands at 68 degrees.

Have a Thoroughly and Thoughtfully Thrilling Thursday, Great People!

I took Lulu for her surgery this morning, and it broke my heart to leave her crying like that. I was crying on the walk to my truck. :( The vet just called and said she came through the surgery great, and she can come home at 8AM tomorrow.

I hope y'all have a great CiJ! :)
