Good early Sunday morning! I fell asleep around 7:30pm last night so of course I’m awake at 4am this morning. It’s relatively cool and comfortable this early but we’ll reach 40°C+/100°F+ for the next three days with the humidity. I plan to get everything on my list done before midday, so I can stay cool by the time it gets uncomfortable.

Have a great day ahead everyone!

O'Malley the cat seems to be improving; no more spit ups, etc. still lounging more than usual, but he's 14 and overweight with no desire to exercise until a fly goes by.

We had a series of storms wrapping around my city late yesterday; most of them were flash floods. Not expecting anymore rain until Monday.

My last day off and back to the grind tomorrow for 5 days and then it's the Civic Holiday long weekend so a short work-week to follow.

Might go to Toronto to visit my brother and a few cousins that weekend.

Enjoying some Steeped Tea and a toasted tomato (from the market) and cheese sandwich for breakfast.

Likely go for a drive later so I don't waste this sunny day inside.

Stay Jolly! :shakeit

Happy Sunny Summer Sunday MMC! Just a relaxing day I hope. I do have a bunch of things to do too though. Definitely finally feeling like my normal self. It's taken a while. Luckily I've been off to rest. Got to enjoy today before those 5 day work weeks start up again. Have a great Sunny Summer Sunday!

Good morning all!
Yesterday evening we went to Hobby Lobby, and of course they had a fair amount of their Christmas stuff out, along with all of the fall decor.

Then we went to another store, called Marshalls, where we found Pumpkin Spice Coffee. So of course we bought a couple of bags. It may not be fall yet, but there is nothing saying I cannot enjoy a little fall coffee during the summer.

In other news, AJ Ouellette, who played football where I teach and then went to Ohio University, just signed with the Cleveland Browns yesterday. I mentioned him here back around draft time. He went undrafted and briefly was picked up by the Saints and then cut. He still has a long road ahead to stay on the Browns, but at least he is getting another opportunity.

Glad to hear O'Malley is starting to feel better!

Good morning, friends! Got home from a trip to New Orleans for work. It is definitely a unique place. Didn't get to sight see much, but did make a pass down Bourbon Street.

Wow.

Saw a parade....

Wow.

Needless to say, that street should probably have an age limit of 30.

Good morning all! Happy Sunday! Getting ready to head out here soon. I've got to get jump in the shower, get ready and get the kids moving. My niece is getting baptized this morning and DH is The Godfather. We will be attending a celebration for that after mass. After that, it will be home to relax, for a little. DH is working tonight, so the kids and myself are heading to a friend's to swim and hang out tonight.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Good Morning, MMC Citizens of Stature.

Well, step up and be counted.

Days to the Season: 108
Days to Christmas Day: 150

And things are starting to get exciting as we approach an important Milestone marker, which just happens to be the ONE HUNDRED DAY SEASON WINDOW.
It will be here in 8 days. One, lone, solitary week from tomorrow.
After that point, we will begin the first of our double-digit count numbers.
♪♪♪ Happy days are here again! ♪♪♪ (Well, almost.)

It just keeps gradually getting warmer but it's still quite pleasant outside, with lots of sun and no rain. And the humidiy remains at tolerable levels.
This second day of the weekend is predicted to see us return to the low 90's with little chance of precipitation. At that level, it will definitely take a low humidity reading to feel comfortable.
Right now we stand at 70 degrees, here.

Have a Super Sunday and enjoy the rest of your weekend, Folks!

Good morning MMC ~
Not too much going on here today, I'm just having my coffee and enjoying some quiet time. There isn’t too much going on here, it should be a relaxing day. My daughter & son in law will be coming by to visit later this afternoon. I’m hoping they’ll stay for dinner, I’m going to make lasagna. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Glad to hear O'Malley's doing better. Maybe he was just still getting over the upset of staying with someone else for a few days. Hope he's completely his merry self (well, as merry as O'Malley gets!) soon.

Marshall's is a fun store to go through. I love their food/cooking aisles.

What a shame you didn't get to sight see much. I hope you were able to have some beignets, though!

I'd like to go to the New Orleans Jazz Festival some day.

Merry Sunday!

The heat and humidity will be around for a few days, but so far it is comfortable in the house.

Just taking it easy today and working on a few things for the store. I'm a bit behind what with all that has been going on this past month.

Stay cool and hydrated and have a most merry day!!

Good afternoon .. had a busy week. The meat market we like had a 1 day sale the other day so we made an unplanned trip there. It's 45 minutes each way but worth it when they have a good sale.Chest freezer is full once a again so we will be good for a couple months. Made a batch of chicken parm meatballs and a batch of turkey meatballs yesterday. Got a loaf of zucchini bread and a loaf of chocolate zucchini bread in the oven, house is smelling great right now :) Our oldest is at Great adventure with her friends today so we are taking the youngest to the lake later. Hope everyone has a great day.

Merry Morning, Auntie!

I'm so glad O'Malley is doing better!

Thanks, Ladies - he sure worried me, but I'm inclined to think it was stress. Thinking back, Sandy told me she had to wash his blanket and Gary's top that I left for comfort because he retreated to the cage the first night to sleep and wound up having diarrhea in the cage. The diarrhea didn't clear up for two days, but he made it to the litter box the other times.

He let me sleep in until 4:45 this morning; I think he'll finally adjust to "springing ahead" and before you know it we will be "falling back".

He's been using his new cat bed more than the big mattress lately. He isn't blocking the doorway so I can't leave.

Hopefully the stress is gone and he can relax.

That's a nice honour; I was sad because none of my relatives picked me to be their children's God-Mother, but they picked one of their sisters or spouses sister. My mom said, "They didn't have to pick you because they know you will look out for and spoil their kids anyway." Well, she was a God-Mother to two cousins and three childhood friends.

I just learned that my cousin's husband has Metastic Cancer that started out as untreated Prostrate cancer. He didn't articulate his symptoms well enough for the doctors to consider prostrate cancer as the problem so they treated him for other lesser ailments over the last two years. He also has a kidney stone the size of a golf ball. The cancer has spread all over his body. No treatment offered, yet they are optimistic that he could live another three years. I used to live with my cousin and one of her sisters during the last two years of College and we've always been close. I feel helpless. Hope to connect in person over the summer with them and their two grown sons.

Also, my brother's roommate passed away suddenly from a unexpected heart failure. Her daughter is getting married next weekend and they will proceed with the wedding as planned and celebrate her life later in the summer.

Sometimes it's easier to accept the loss of life when there was some sort of notice like with terminal cancer, but to have a heart attack in your 40's is shocking.

I feel for her husband and those that are feeling devastated from her loss. I don't think I ever met her; she and her husband bought a place with my brother and a fourth roommate to save on costs of Condos in Toronto. They have a beautiful place like an old Vincent Price movie - filled with retro decor and a great spot for jamming parties.
