Are Jacob and Elizabeth attending the same University? I may have missed that because Jacob would have started before Elizabeth.

I haven't hear the tied-on-the-feed-bag expression in along time. Think my mom was the last one to use it the last time I took her out for a Mother's Day brunch.

Yes, they're both at the same University. Jacob is a senior and Elizabeth is a freshman. We're so lucky to have such a good University so close to home!

While watching Halloween Baking Championship tonight I saw a commercial for the Holiday Baking Championship and I was so happy! It doesn't take much to thrill me I guess! But I love watching that show and seeing the beautiful Christmas desserts they make!

Nancy and I love those shows, and Halloween Wars, too!

Yesterday, we completed ninety percent of our journey to Christmas Season 2019 and officially entered the final Home Stretch run.

Days to the Season: 36
Days to Christmas Day: 78

And notice an absence?
That's right.
No further discussion of Milestone markers!

Breathtakingly fantastic weather here yesterday. Highs in the 70's. Low humidity, gentle breezes, calm winds. A great combination!
(Now if we could only get rid of these blasted mosquitos!)
Today shows a predicted high of 72, with only a 20 percent chance of needed rain.
Our starting temperature here in the middle part of the great state of North Carolina, home of the Panthers, is 66 degrees.

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

We went to our nephew's archery tournament yesterday, and it was a lot of fun! He's 8 years old, so it wasn't SUPER competitive, but he was still very proud when he won 2nd place.

I'm not sure where I have to go tonight, but I'm sure we can't just stay home for one night.

Good Tuesday morning! The sun is back, it’s supposed to be a great week weather-wise. So on Friday after surprising our employee who has to go back to her home country with a scrapbook and 350$ to help with her move, employees now are donating money so another employee can take a week off to rest. She is undergoing agressive cancer treatments every Saturday, which leave her feeling exhausted and weak, but she can’t afford to take time off. It is wonderful to see our team pull together like this to help each other. On that note, have a wonderful day everyone!

Not too much going on here today. I’m going to visit my parents this morning and stop at the supermarket afterward to pick up a couple of things. Other than that I will be working on some chores around the house. Dinner will be tacos. My daughters boyfriend surprised her with tickets to the Islander game tonight, I’m jealous! I will be watching from home. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

That's wonderful; we've done similar things to support a co-worker as she was going through treatment for brain cancer because benefits only covered so much. She and her husband were humbled by the surprise.

I'm sure you co-workers appreciated everything done to support them.

Spotted a wild black turkey along the side of the HWY today and I thought to myself 'this is a good weekend not to be a turkey in Canada'.

I'll be back in time for Thanksgiving Dinner, but won't make it to celebrate with the Ottawa family because I explained to them that I couldn't leave O'Malley that long.

Before I drift off to sleep and before I get out of bed; the merry folk here at MMC are in my thoughts.

I'm thankful I found a merry spot like MMC where Christmas wackos are considered "normal" every day of the year.
