Good Morning Halloween Friends! We're in the home stretch now, aren't we? Less than ONE WEEK now until we ring in our beloved Halloween.
I think the month went faster than anyone would have expected. And before I forget, Happy Rudolph Day to all! Today is also a happy day for us here, as the "Big Christmas Tree" comes out of storage and will be stood up tonight, a family tradition of ours.

So exciting! Getting close enough to take the weather forecast seriously, calling for a high of 55 and sunny. I would like a little warmer but just glad there is only a 7% chance of rain, and no snow!

I'm having my furnace tuned up this afternoon, just another sign that "our time" is really here. I'm also hoping to catch the newest episode of CHUCKY tonight on SyFy!
Plans are starting to come together for a little unofficial Halloween potluck at my work on Friday! That will be exciting!

This past weekend was excellent for catching up on my annual Halloween viewing. We watched "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (finally!), "Garfield's Halloween," and "Halloween is Grinch Night." Unfortunately we couldn't catch "You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown" since Apple bought the rights to Peanuts and now keeps all of the specials locked down, so I guess I'm buying the hard copy of that one next year.

Happy Halloween Mid Week! Last night really FELT like Halloween. We broke down and turned on the furnace. We were hoping to make it to November 1st, but it got in the 40's overnight with high winds, and it just felt like the heat was being sucked out of the house. Have to call and get an oil delivery this week - between the 2 tons of wood pellets, and the oil tank, winter can let it rip!

So, I know we don't want to talk about it, but I gotta bring it up: What happens to this thread on Halloween night? Will there be a cutoff time for comments when the thread officially "closes" and the new one begins?

Since I don't have any "official" powers on MMC as an admin / moderator or what not, I can't lock the thread on Halloween night, but my plan is to start a new one at around 8:00 PM that night.
I will post the link here on the "old" thread, at which point I will begin using the "new" one that evening. I fully expect to still see posts "here" after 8PM, and in all likelihood probably even the next day, but I figure by November 1st / November 2nd "everybody" should be using the new one by that point!
My mind is already going there friend! I know it's not even Halloween 2021 yet, but I'm already thinking of 22'. My mind will be even more there following my retrospective post I have scheduled for Saturday! But don't be too sad - Christmas Season will power us through the rest of the year, and before you know it, we will have already "passed" the next two months and will be raring to go when January gets here and our first JOL Day of 2022 pops up on the horizon!
This is my favorite one yet, Rich! And may I say that I like your new hat?
