DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 11

Good Morning Halloween friends!

I echo the sentiment in here that it is a little disappointing that the month has gone by so quickly. And it seems hard to believe that tomorrow we will be only 10 days away from our beloved Halloween. Not even a week and a half!

It feels like just yesterday that we were here celebrating the arrival of October, and looking forward to the relaxing, lazy, fall weekends that accompanied it.

I want to try and do as much as I can to enjoy these next 11 days. I feel the powerful pull of Christmas time. It is not an unwelcome emotion. Heck, on Monday I am getting out my Christmas Tree from storage and putting up in the living room, so I can have everything ready to go on November 1st! And I'm excited about that.

But I want to close out October in the most Halloween/ Fall way possible. I think we all do. There is going to be lots more cherry cider, lots more Michael, and of course, Dark Arts Sunday for two more weekends before we say goodbye to Hogwarts for a little while!

Have a great day, friends!

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 10

Good Morning Halloween Friends!

Well it's here now - the home stretch of October. Tomorrow we get into SINGLE DIGITS remaining in the month! At some point over the last week, I believe that time somehow grabbed another gear, it was subtle, all was moving along well until we looked up one day, and all of a sudden here we are.

We've hit "Halloween Duds" on SyFy now for the past few nights. John Wick, and "Back to the Future" does not exactly a Halloween movie make. But Good stuff on AMC tonight! 13 Ghosts (The remake), and The Omen (The 2006 remake)! Gonna be some good watching!

Have a great day, friends!

Wow. The home stretch to halloween is here. Very exciting times although Christmas has started creeping into my mind. I even see hallmark is starting their Christmas movies this weekend! I refuse to watch a Christmas show until halloween is over! My holiday code of honor i guess. Lol. That is what the dvr is made for. Going to keep on grinding out those halloween/horror shows and keep that halloween spirit for another 10 days.

10 days! I still feel like I have plenty of Halloween spirit left in me. However, as we get closer to November, I will feel the undeniable pull of Christmas. It's both a wonderful and yet slightly sad feeling to wave goodbye to Spooky Season while welcoming another special time of year.

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 9

Good Morning Halloween Friends! As you can see, the home stretch is now here. Single digits remaining in the month. Not where any of us really wanted to be, but like they say, time marches on.

There are actually houses in my neighborhood now that have begun decorating for Christmas! It's amazing! I always felt I was one of the earliest ones, but they have me beat by about 2 weeks. I would LOVE to decorate for Christmas before November 1st, but I don't want to cut Halloween season short!

Have a great day, friends!

Okay time for a Halloween dad joke (more or less):

So I picked up this hitchhiker and after he got in, he said, "So aren't your afraid I might be a serial killed?"

I said, "Naw, 'cause I don't think there is much chance of two of them being in the car at the same time."

Badda boom.

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 8

Good Morning Halloween Friends!

This time next week, we will be preparing to celebrate Halloween 2021! None of us are ready to be that far through the month, but time marches on.

I am planning a retrospective post for that day, and I want to review my 2021 overall Halloween experience. I want to go through everything and do an honest review of what I felt like I got right, got wrong, what could be better / improved, etc.. I do the same thing when Christmas is over!

More "Halloween Duds" from Syfy today - A Die Hard marathon this evening doesn't exactly make me want to put up the Jack O Lantern!

Have a great day, friends!

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 7

Good Morning, Halloween Friends! Like Edge just pointed out, our Halloween count is indeed shrinking. I think looking back, the month went by faster than any of us would have wanted. I think the special Holiday time always does that.

Next week this time, I will be on top of Skyline Drive, at Shenandoah National Park. It has seemed to become a Halloween tradition of ours. That's where I was able to get those awesome Sunrise pics last year, that are now immortalized in the "Bers Tribute Video". I'm hoping that the peak foliage is on us by that time. We have had trees here starting to turn Red and Yellow, but they aren't at full force yet.

A fine day also for another session of "Dark Arts Sunday". There is only one more after today. Have I told you yet how much I am going to miss Hogwarts??

Have a great day, friends!
