Love that we are in November!!

On the news this morning, they said that Macy's Parade is completely back to normal!! Yay!!
That's the way it should be IMO. If you can have 80,000 fans in a football stadium with no masks/distancing there is no reason not to have the parade! I just like consistent rules. Too many inconsistencies during the pandemic.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 22

Happy November Hump Day! Today’s countdown is at 22 days until Thanksgiving. Folks, if you aren’t great at math let me do it for you. That would be 3 weeks + 1 day until THANKSGIVING! Let that hit you. It’s hitting me hard right now. But our next milestone? That will hit me the hardest because that will be the FINAL milestone we have in this countdown until we reach Thanksgiving Day. Uh huh. That will be in 12 days from now. We still have time thankfully until then. I know all of you are loving being in November like I am now. I’m going to pick up a peppermint mocha iced drink at Dunkin’ today. It’s one of the things that I love about the month of November. And that’s where I hope to keep my holiday spirit starting up and going forward. It’s amazing folks to be in November. Do you feel it in the air yet? It’s just a little bit chillier than October was. You can feel it. Those warmer days are starting to really fade away now. And although I love the warmer weather it just feels right now. It feels like we’re on our way towards Thanksgiving. And that is the biggest and most awesome day of the entire year. I hope you all are ready for it. Have a great November Hump Day!

I'm in Virginia, and I am happy to say this morning that I see a lot more "normal" again coming in the very near future!

I can feel it in the air too! November has brought a whole different set of "feels"! The first morning driving to work with the heat on, and the Christmas music playing, it was really something!!

I think the parade is going to be so much sweeter because of last year!
I agree. When Santa arrived last year with no crowd around him, it was anticlimactic. I'm looking forward to a wonderful parade this year.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 21

Happy Nice November! Today we look at our countdown that remains and we see it now reaching 21 days. That means that in 3 weeks we will arrive at Thanksgiving. How? Well folks at least we have another milestone before that and it will be when we reach the Home Stretch to Thanksgiving which will happen in 11 days. I’ll try to enjoy the days as much as I can here in November. It’s a wonderful month and the month we all wait for in this chat. Make the most of today that you can. Make yourself feel the positive vibes. Be happy about where we are in the year. Don’t worry about going backwards or forwards. Let’s live in the present. That’s the best place to live and the only place we really can live. I’ve really been feeling that way and now that we’re in November there’s no reason to want to be anywhere else. It’s not even “that cold” yet. And it’s still nice enough out. And we have turkey day ahead of us. And we found out the parade will be normal this year. I mean what could we ask for more than that? Plus we’ll have football on Thanksgiving with fans in the stands. It’s an amazing time to be where we are. Let’s take it all in Thanksgiving fans. Have a great Nice November!

Special Poll for today - On a scale of 1-10 how excited are you for Thanksgiving being 3 weeks away.
My answer: 9...in another week it will be 10 I'm sure!
I would say i am at about a 7. My spirit is dragging a little post Halloween. By next week i should be up to about 9 and should be 10 come Thanksgiving week. My excitement always builds over time which is ok for me.

About an 8 right now. Still very excited, but it's still just the first week of the month. Next week will probably be a 9, and the week before Thanksgiving week will undoubtedly be a 10.

My inflatable Tom Turkey is in the front yard now. The power supply went bad on it. My turkey, pumpkin, and snowman all have the same supply, so I swapped it out with the pumpkin power supply and all is well. Took all of 20 seconds. I do love a quick repair.

Excitement for Thanksgiving--I would say I am an 8 pushing toward a 9. I got each of my kids and grandkids a commemorative ornament for their dad/granddad. Each of the grandkids has the same picture with "Best grandpa ever" and his birth and death years written on it. For the kids, I had a different picture put on each one with something significant written about their dad on it. For instance, my second daughter always called him her hero, so hers says "My dad, my hero" and then birth and death dates. I will give them to them at Thanksgiving so they can put them on their trees. I am more excited about doing this than I should be, because it makes Dave part of Thanksgiving, even though he is now on the other side!
