We made it to November! What a great feeling. I feel the same way as @SolidSnake84, Nov 1st starts the Christmas season for me. For the rest of the Bers, it will be 24/7 Christmas music. Tonight after work we'll take down the Halloween decorations and put up the Thanksgiving decorations. They usually last about three weeks and then we put up the Christmas decorations. This is the season I cherish most.

Happy November 1st all. So i tend to rush to Christmas as soon as Halloween is over usually. This year i want to encompasses and enjoy the Thanksgiving season more. I am going to try slowly and gradually add Christmas but just try to add some more Thanksgiving things in where i can. I will not be switching over my game room to Christmas until this weekend leaving my fall stuff up a little longer than usual. I have really enjoyed the fall decorations this year. My wife loves turkeys so those will be added to the rest of the house this week and stay until the Christmas stuff goes up black friday.

Thanksgiving has entered the chat

And what a joy it is to be here at this point. Today, for me personally, is the first day of the Christmas season. The tree will go up after work today, and I'll probably have thoughts of turkey and mac and cheese in my head. I'm particularly excited about the next few weeks, and especially Thanksgiving week in which all of the magic comes to a head.

November also means it's time to retire the Fall flavored coffees and start on the holiday varieties!

I know everyone here knows I am weird and I am okay with that. But to remove all doubt. I like ironing, I find it oddly relaxing. ;) But you are right, it is special when it is for a holiday.
I find it relaxing too and I love the smell of fresh pressed linens! This time of year all of my chores seem more fun, even cleaning the windows and dusting because I know I will be putting decorations up soon and they will look so much nicer.

I am convinced we are kindred souls--which means you should be afraid, very afraid! I agree getting the house spotless for putting up decorations is actually fun.

Happy November 1st. Seeing the countdowns melt away is really something, thanks for mentioning it. Christmas Season is here now, to me. Even though it doesn't "officially" start until next week. We knew this since September got here, but there truly is nothing ahead now except good times. Turkey time, Christmas Time, it's all coming QUICK!
Yes it is!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 23

Happy Election Day! We have reached another day folks. It’s Tuesday and our countdown (yes singular) is now down to 23 days till Thanksgiving. There was a feeling in the air yesterday folks. You all know I’m a hardcore Halloween lover and the month of October is in my heart and soul. And it always will be. However, I can tell you just walking around yesterday and knowing it’s NOVEMBER felt so…incredible. I can’t put it into words. Did any of you feel it? Just it’s hard to explain. To know we’re in the MONTH of Thanksgiving now just feels unreal. It doesn’t feel possible yet it feels so beyond exciting. I’m so thankful for it. No pun intended. But I think that we all are at this point. Nobody could imagine being where we are. It always feels amazing when we reach this point. And now we move along here in the month of November. I’m trying to cherish every day. I’m trying to just really love the build to Thanksgiving. And certainly we are in the hardcore build now to it. It’s a great time of the year and it feels good to be here. I know all of you are starting to have turkey dreams for real now. It’s no longer a game and yes we have some time to go…but not quite as much as we did have. Our next milestone is in 13 days when we reach the Home Stretch to Thanksgiving. Have a great Election Day!

Yesterday when I setup my inflatable Tom Turkey, the fan motor would not run. So now I have to troubleshoot that. And if I can't fix it, try and see if I can order a new motor. Which probably wouldn't be delivered until March. Maybe I can pull the motor out of the pumpkin. They're the same brand.

The weather is feeling truly like November this week. A couple of mid 30s nights this week. It gives me a Thanksgiving feel.

Hope to get up the couple Thanksgiving decorations for the house by the weekend. I will be decorating the game room for Christmas this weekend though. Outside i took down the purple lights and left up the orange lights unti i transition that to Christmas on black friday.

Thanksgiving prep job #1 - Called the local meat market to order this year’s Amish turkey. All 26 pounds of him. Check! Apparently, no shortage of Amish turkeys!

Not afraid at all, in fact I take it as a compliment that we are kindred souls!
