Well, what I discovered is that other than a few select tracks, the majority of the Silent Hill 2 soundtrack isn't really that spooky at all. Don't get me wrong -- there are some that I'm totally adding to my Halloween playlist, but most of the others are an odd rock/fusion mix. Not very atmospheric. They worked in the game, but they miss the mark when you listen to them standalone.I just found quite a treat. The entire soundtrack to Silent Hill 2 is available on Spotify! I know what I'll be listening to today.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Friday! And most importantly, HAPPY HALFWAY TO OCTOBER DAY!
Folks, the calendar doesn't lie, we are now indeed halfway back to October. We are on top of the mountain crest now, and beginning tomorrow we start heading downward, slowly but surely.
I'm feeling this whole vibe of "Spooky Spring", as others have coined it here. I think the weather and the overall atmosphere is going to be cooperating. I'm going to obviously take a few days off from "Spooky Spring" to honor our Lord with Easter weekend, but I'm hoping that this month feels a lot like October. I'm plugging in a pumpkin spice wall-flower here shortly, and I have some other, "non Jack O Lantern Day" scary movies that I plan on watching on the weekends. They won't be October weekends, but hopefully they feel a lot like them!
Have a great day, friends! Welcome to April and Halfway to October / Halloween month!
I haven't watched The Snoopy Show yet, but I think I might treat myself over Easter Weekend. That banner is one of my favorite stills from "The Snoopy Show." The art direction in that show is gorgeous.
And "Spooky Spring" minus Easter is going to be a great theme for this month. Out of all of the non-Bers months I feel like April has the largest amount of Halloween vibes thus far. I'm still all in on Spooky Spring and am thinking of putting Silent Hill at the forefront of that. I was inspired yesterday by listening to the soundtrack.
I wish I could run 4 miles. I really do. Heck, I wish I could run one mile. I was in decent shape five or so years ago, but now I get winded walking around my back yard. And in a month where we're celebrating Halfoween that is perhaps the scariest thing of all.DAYS TO JOL DAY: 59

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's the very first "Spooky Spring" weekend, and I'm kicking things off this morning by doing a creepy 4 mile run in the woods. We are having a 4 mile trail race through the woods at Sherando Park to raise money for autism awareness / treatment. It used to be an every year routine for me until the pandemic happened. We missed 2020, but it returned last year.
If you take a look at the countdowns, we're inching closer and closer towards the 150 DAYS TO THE BERS milestone, which will happen on Monday!!! I think that's kind of serious, honestly. But don't discount either that "Days to Halloween" is also getting close to the 200 Days milestone, coming to us now in less than two weeks. I've said it before, but after that happens, that's the last "200 count" in this thread, and we won't see 200's again until this November, when the 2023 Halloween thread goes up! That's exciting and scary!
Have a great day, friends! Enjoy the first weekend of Spooky Spring!
I was training a lot in 2020 for the battlefield half-marathon (13.1 miles), and it was 50/50 if they were going to have it or not. They ended up cancelling it formally in August, and then I pretty much just stopped running cold turkey. When events started creeping back up in 2021, I started running again, and it was amazing, I didn't have any injuries or anything, all I had to do was get my cardio levels back up to where they were, and surprisingly it wasn't that hard. If I can start up again after a big absence like that, I know you can do it!I wish I could run 4 miles. I really do. Heck, I wish I could run one mile. I was in decent shape five or so years ago, but now I get winded walking around my back yard. And in a month where we're celebrating Halfoween that is perhaps the scariest thing of all.
I have got to make a concerted effort to get back in shape and lose this Covid-50 that I've put on since the pandemic began.
The anticipation is a good portion of the fun of the planting season! It is cold here today too, but a warming trend is on the way with lots of rain in the forecast. Still way too early to plant any seeds, but close enough to start thinking about!
