You're absolutely right; it's NOT cheating today! I'm going to play a little bit of my September playlist while working this morning, and after work I've got to work on adding more songs for when the big day arrives!DAYS TO JOL DAY: 18
DAYS TO THE BERS: 50
DAYS TO OCTOBER: 80
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 110
Good Morning Halloween Friends! At long last its finally here. 50 DAYS TO THE BERS, and we reached it TODAY. Folks I cannot stress enough what an amazing day this is, it feels like a holiday. I think I'm even going to cheat a little bit today and uncork my fall / halloween / JOL Day playlist. You know what, it's not cheating because TODAY IS A HOLIDAY.
Enough yacking from me this morning, I am taking time away from us all heading over to the Daily Holiday Hangout to bask in the glory of being 50 DAYS TO THE BERS. Guys, we are only 50 days away from being HOME. Nary a month an a half. We've got this! Have a great day!
We've also broken into single digits on the way down to 100 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN, which will arrive NEXT SATURDAY!
I went to our HL last night and was sorely disappointed. They've received a lot of Christmas items, but everything is stacked on top of the shelves. And the Fall stuff is sitting in the aisles on pallets still in boxes. The way it looks now, we may not see trees until September.I was going through Facebook memories this morning, the last three years in a row I have been treated to Hobby Lobby having the full-size Christmas trees out. Maybe I will see Christmas Trees again today. We decided on making a trip after dinner.

check out that beauty! That’s the “closest” one to a fall sunset that I’ve gotten so far this “offseason”!
I haven't been to HL in a while, but last time I was there they had a single aisle of Fall stuff out, but 2-3 aisles of Christmas ribbons, wreaths, and garnish. But still no trees. I will pay them a visit next week for sure.I went to our HL last night and was sorely disappointed. They've received a lot of Christmas items, but everything is stacked on top of the shelves. And we had quite a moon rise last night, the Buck Moon did not disappoint, but I didn't get a picture of it.View attachment 95237

I hear you. I really feel that pull too. I am trying so hard not to until after my summer vacation is over which will take me into August and the bers preseason. In a little over two weeks then I will enjoy the month build up. Jol day does fall on my last day of vacation which softens the blow of vacation ending.I'm telling y'all, the spooky feels are STRONG! I've got such a Halloween pull right now; I think JOL Day at the end of this month is going to be a very welcome celebration for me. I'm hyped about Dark Arts Sunday returning as well.
It seems only right to watch "Half-Blood Prince" this month and cap off the final JOL Day before the Bers with "Deathly Hallows Pts. 1 & 2"!
why don't you keep that over there....This pic has the most intense Halloween vibes for me. Amazingly creepy …

Of course, I had to go to the Home Depot website. For "only" $299 that skeleton can be mine. The seven foot reaper looks cool too. But like you, I am unsure exactly where I would store either. My granddaughter had a suggestion though, She said just put different costumes on it for each season. We did have a house not far from where I live who put Santa clothes on theirs and left it up through New Years. I already have four zombies that crawl up the front of my house so I am thinking of getting the zombie silhouettes, they are much more in my price range!DAYS TO JOL DAY: 16
DAYS TO THE BERS: 48
DAYS TO OCTOBER: 78
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 108
Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Friday! I got the email this morning very early that Home Depot is now selling online their giant 12 foot skeletons, werewolves, and floating witches, etc.. They were hot items last year and I've actually been about 50 / 50 on buying the giant werewolf, even though I have no idea where it would stay during the "offseason" and I would have to end up keeping it standing up in a room somewhere, that with a little one on the way might not be the greatest idea lol.
Also saw the first mention yesterday online of "Chucky" coming back on October 5th, which is totally awesome. I loved watching that show last year during Spooky Season, and I think it did a great job connecting old and new fans of the franchise.
Still holding off hot weather for now, but it looks like a couple of days next week get to near 90. We will pass the peak hottest day on Wednesday and then gradually begin trending down as we head into "Fall Pre-Season" and eventually our beloved September.
Have a great day, friends!
