Good Morning Halloween Friends! I'm about to head off to the landfill and get back home to enjoy another beautiful Bers weekend!

No mowing because it's too dry, so we can just enjoy being outside, maybe having a little fire later, and then coming in to see what I can scrounge up for "Halloween movie grazing".

Tomorrow we will celebrate being only TWO WEEKS from the official beginning of Spooky Season!

Have a great day!

I need to do some trimming and weedeating but no full mowing for me either. A lot of my plant containers are starting to look done for the year so I am going to start empyting them out and storing the containers. It looks like harvest is going to be early this year so I also need to start prepping for my "mouse patrol"- traps and D-Con. That is a spooky job! LOL!

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope your weekend is off to a good start. It is cloudy out this afternoon. We had some sun this morning but the clouds are winning out with showers approaching the area. We could use some rain. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends!

Another beautiful 'Bers Sunday. There's not much that's better than weekends in The Bers. We had our first proper evening of "Halloween Grazing" and it was amazing.

You can see now that we are only TWO WEEKS from the official start of Spooky Season, that is sure something to be excited about!

I'm still trying to find a schedule for both SyFy's Halloween, and AMC Fear Fest, starting in October. I did read on a blog not too long ago that this year Friday the 13th is going to be an anchor of Fear Fest, so that is exciting because generally I don't think we have saw Jason too much on AMC over the years.

Just a reminder, if anyone happens to come across a full schedule for SyFy, or AMC, please be sure to post! This is everybody's thread, I just do the daily countdowns.

Have a great day!

We listened to the Halloween playlist on the way to the fall festival yesterday. Then last night, Michelle watched Hocus Pocus while I watched football.

Hello Halloween Fans! I'm having a little lunch here then going with the Sunday Group to play miniature golf. They have an indoor one we're going to use because everything outside is wet from the weekend rain we've had. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Monday to you all!

We're under two weeks to go now until the official start of Spooky Season. And our second to last milestone of this 2025 Countdown Thread will be here in THREE DAYS. That's when we begin the FINAL FIFTY to Halloween! Say it ain't so!

The weather here is gorgeous. Every night it feels like it could be October. It's 48 degrees right now, and only getting up to 73. I feel about 95% certain that summer heat is "done" for another season.

Have a great day, pumpkin people!

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope your week is off to a nice start. We have another beautiful day here. It's 64 degrees with sunshine and we expect a high of about 70 degrees. This weather is just the type you want to bottle up and keep as long as you can. Happy Halloween!

I think I'm going to participate in a Trunk or Treat at a church this Halloween. You just buy a bunch of candy and decorate the back of the car. I have a Honda Passport so I'm not sure what I'll come up with. All the cars meet at church early and open their trunks for the kids. There will also be pets dressed in costume. I'm taking Ace but he won't be dressed up. He loves little kids, other dogs not so much.

Good evening Halloween Fans!

Sorry for my absence, life has been busy!

However, Saturday we did a little outside Halloween decorating. The Sandworm is up and we have some lights on the bushes. Still more to do and lots to do inside, but it is a start.

There are a handful of houses in the area that are already pretty decorated.

I don't think I've seen any houses decorated here.

When I was out and about today, I saw two house already decorated for Halloween, not fall mind you, but Halloween

My house has plastic jack o lanterns out front, and in two more weeks "Halloween Lights" are going up on the bushes once they have been trimmed / shaped for the final time this season.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Not quite "frost on the pumpkin" this morning, but it's another cool one out there, 45 degrees! I honestly can't remember the nights being this cool in early September, we usually don't see lows like that until October. It's wonderful!

You can see on our counts above that we are now only three weeks away from the very FINAL JOL Day of 2025. Tomorrow we will be only three weeks from October! And on Thursday, we will celebrate our last milestone of this 2025 thread, that being the Final Fifty to Halloween!

I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

Exciting Halloween news!

Over the weekend, something surprising happened. We had a vacation planned in October to go visit my wife's cousin and her family in Georgia, and we were going to attend her daughter's birthday party while we were there. The bad news is that she had a work meeting come up at the last minute that derailed her plans for the party and would cause her to push it back by a week. Since I couldn't rearrange my work schedule for October, we called off our Georgia trip and we are now visiting them during Thanksgiving instead (a great thing)!

What does this have to go with Halloween? Well... Since I already had the week off of work in October, we decided to make the most of it and head back to Disney this year for the Halloween party at Magic Kingdom! I spent all weekend in planning mode.
