Halloween 2025 Countdown!

Good Morning Pumpkin People! Day #1 of being in THE BERS is in the books! I did what Edge said and instead of trying to slow down time, I tried my best to get every moment's worth yesterday. It was a good long weekend and I got several things done that I wanted to. I got the majority of sanding done on my truck, I'm hoping to be able to paint it in two more weeks if the weather is good / stays good.

On the counts, we're under 30 days until October 1st, and we've now broken into the 50's on our Halloween count! Our next milestone will be next Thursday, September 11th!

I just realized in the excitement of the approaching Bers, I never posted an August "wrap up", or a September preview. But you know what, September needs no introduction - THE BERS. Nuff said!

Good Morning Halloween Friends!

It's the middle of the week "already"! See what a difference it always makes by having a Monday off.

Sort of quiet on the milestone front right now, we are just taking it nice and easy and slow here in the golden days of September and really just beginning the "Sweet Spot" of the year.

I’ve been hunting this down at every Marshall’s, Homegoods, and TJ Maxx store that I come across, but I’ve had zero luck. Same goes for the Not-So-Scary Pumpkin brew. I did happen to come across some of their regular (non-Disney branded) coffee, which was really good! I’m working on a bag of “Jamaica Me Crazy” right now. But I’m thinking I’m going to have to give in and order from their website if I want to enjoy my seasonal pumpkin coffee (and this new Haunted Mansion brew…”Foolish Mocha” just sounds too good to pass up)!

Too bad their website is like 3x the price of finding it in a Marshall’s…

Maybe give it a bit more time, so you don't have to pay website prices. The Foolish Mocha (very good, btw) just appeared at our TJ Maxx a few days ago. I'm guessing the pumpkin isn't too far away. They also just put out the Ursula Sea Witch and Hocus Pocus brew. I'm guessing Mickey just likes to make an entrance.

Yeah I have spent probably too much time trying to figure out how even the big networks throw in the "Duds" like nobody would notice. I think it was 4 or 5 years ago I first started really paying attention to the lineups. I think on SyFy's 31 days of Halloween, I noticed "Spider Man: Into the Spider-Verse", and I was like "huh"? Once that first "dud" broke the seal, I started noticing them every year. Independence Day and Jurassic Park come to mind as well, although Jurassic Park in recent years has gained cult following in this house as our very own "Spooky Spring Dud", for tradition/realism.

I can't wait until the lineups are officially published and I look forward to publishing them AND mentioning the Duds!

Good Morning Pumpkin People! It's Mini-Friday in these parts! You can see our counts are dwindling down and our next milestone will be in ONE WEEK when we enter the FINAL FIFTY to Halloween. I almost don't want to write that!

We're enjoying great weather right now and it looks to continue that way with the exception of one 85 degree day, then it settles back down into the lower to mid 70's. I don't want to jink us, but I think Fall Weather in these parts may be here to stay.

I started looking this morning for the lineup for both Syfy Halloween (Formerly called 31 nights of Halloween), and AMC Fear Fest, but haven't found full schedules yet. If anyone can find them and post them, that would be great! I'll keep looking.

Yeah, you’re right, I probably am being a bit too hasty. We have another TJ Maxx about 45 minutes away that I haven’t checked yet, either. I wasn’t going to drive out there, but maybe if I’m looking for something to do this weekend, I’ll check it out.

Well, I had success today! Hit TJ Maxx and Mickey Pumpkin had hit the shelf. So that was my Halloween win for the day. Well, that and weather in the 60s. Dig it!

Good Morning Pumpkin People! TGIF!

Those "weeks" counts look mighty skinny right now. Only 3 weeks until October, WOW.

Today is finally our random 85 degree day that I knew was coming. The rest of the weekend is back down in the 70's.

Some people said yesterday that it looked like some trees were turning colors already, and I can report in and say we do have a few leaves on some of the trees here in the back yard that are starting to change. Some years I've even seem them in late August.

Still tracking the 50 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone, which is just 6 days from today! Have a great Friday, folks!
