Good Morning Halloween Friends and Pumpkin People Alike!
We have entered single digits on the countdown to the last JOL Day of the Non-Bers year. Tomorrow, single digits will be here for our BERS count.
Today marks only 30 days to the official beginning of Spooky Season! It's not really an "official" milestone day or anything, but I felt it was reason enough to give a little fanfare this morning. The counts are really starting to move. Tomorrow we break into the 30's on our days to October count.
There's always two counts on this thread that I kind of enjoy seeing take their time, and those are obviously the days to October, and days to Halloween counts. Sometimes I daydream a little and wonder what it would be like / feel like to stay in a perpetual October, or even Halloween. Just fun daydreaming. But nobody wants those counts to run out, not even me, because even though Thanksgiving and Christmas come next, it means Halloween is over and sooner or later that "hits us" after all the holidays are over and we have started our long way back again.

Happy Saturday, Pumpkin People! The penultimate weekend of Non-Bers year is finally here.
The big change on the counts above is that we are now in SINGLE DIGITS on our way back to The Bers. I really took just a few moments this morning and just thought about that and smiled. What a long journey it has been, and how accomplished we should all feel right now at this present juncture.
I think there will again be a big mental change starting on Monday, as we slide through the final Non-Bers week of 2025.
I'm heading out to Costco this morning as part of our errands, and then sliding by Hobby Lobby later today. I'm wondering what Halloween items I will see at Costco!

Funny you should mention this. I was just at Hobby Lobby last week to check out the Halloween. As it turns out, they don't carry Halloween items. I think it's due to their religious ownership. "Fall" items were abundant, but nothing like witches or black cats, skeletons, etc...
Hello Halloween Fans! I hope your weekend is going well so far. We have a beautiful day here. But it's a little warmer so you still definitely have a bit of a summer feel to it. But it's a gorgeous day and I enjoy the late summer warmth we still get. Happy Halloween!

It's Dark Arts Sunday today! I'm going to flip on some HP later and try and get in the feel. It's raining outside right now, but when that stops I'm going to put out some Fall decorations. I waited as long as I could. 3rd week of August seems just right since this coming weekend THE BERS are back!

The weather is really helping the Fall feel right now. I am loving it!
Been listening to Halloween music most of the day. Henry and I watch Susperia last night. Strange movie, but certainly in the Halloween genre.

I'm hoping it doesn't end up like Friday the 13th: The Game. I had that game and loved it the few times I got to play it. But it was doomed almost from the start with server issues. The same company is doing the Halloween game. I really hope/feel that they learned their lesson from F13: The game. I'm sure I will end up buying it when it comes out!

Hello Halloween Fans! I wish you all well to start this new week. It's a nice day here. Temperatures getting into the 80s with sunshine. I always enjoy summer this time of year because I know the real heat/humidity is starting to slowly fade. Happy Halloween!
I'll start wearing my Halloween T-shirts this Sunday on JOL Day. I already want to take down the Fall decorations and put up the Halloween. But Michelle won't go for that.

It's still crazy to me that we are going to lose another count in less than a week. I remember when JOL Days were still held only on the months that had a 31st, these counts looked EXTREMELY skinny once we left August, because we lost the JOL Day count and The Bers count.
Monday seemed like it went by at a pretty fair pace. Maybe today can get some speed. Everybody knows how much I love Wednesdays.

I moved my Halloween shirts to the front of the rack in my closet. They are ready to go.
Hello Halloween Fans! The weather here is beautiful again. I sound like a broken record (maybe I am). It just seems like the 2nd half of August has been basically September weather. I really hope we have a nice September ahead and of course October too (not too cold too soon). Happy Halloween!

In only 3 days we will reach the final JOL Day of the Non-Bers year! The Bers themselves lie only 4 days away. 4 days from today also begin the "final 30" to October. I've said a hundred times that I wish the "Days to October", and "Days to Halloween" count could sort of stay frozen in time.
Or maybe even if we could stay in that "Sweet Spot" In September. I truly feel the very best time / feelings of the year are those first few weeks in September where everything is still out in front of you but the anticipation is high and you can feel it in the air.
