Halloween 2025 Countdown!

Good morning Halloween Fans!

Wow, September is really flying by. I have so much to do and so little time! I really need to get started on some things. I also wish the temperatures didn't suddenly feel like summer again. I want to make a big pot of chili, but I want it to be cool outside when I do.

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well and enjoying your Sunday. We have another beautiful day (again). It's a little warmer though with temperatures approaching 80 degrees this afternoon. 1 week from today my fall activities begin. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Monday to all! Today starts the weekly process again of crawling back to another Bers weekend. I'm kicking the tires on taking off Friday and giving myself a 3 day weekend, mainly because I want to drive out and get a scoop of fill dirt for the raised bed area, and I don't want to burn up half of my Saturday messing with that. So we will see.

On our Halloween counts we've indeed got some thin looking countdowns. We're going to lose another one this weekend. From tomorrow, it will be only TWO WEEKS until the very FINAL Jack O Lantern Day of 2025. I can't believe I'm writing that!

One thing for sure though, I'm grateful to everyone who comes and visits this thread, even if it isn't every day. We've carved out a little niche section of this site. It would be impossible to think of Christmas and not realize that Halloween is sort of the "gatekeeper" to the holiday season.

I hauled more pellets yesterday and I love all the Halloween decorations I saw at Home Depot. Pretty soon it's going to be the "Big 3" inside there!

Less than a week to Spooky Season, friends! I'm ready to start listening to my Halloween playlist side-by-side with my Fall playlist!

And this month marks the last JOL Day of 2025. Kind of bittersweet, but Halloween has to come at some point.

That is exactly how I do it. I mostly listen to my fall playlist now, but the Halloween playlist gets played on Fridays at the moment, since after Labor Day. It will get more playtime the closer we get to October and Halloween.

My family took a trip to the "tool store", Lowes and saw the Halloween decorations. As we walked in, my granddaughter's eyes were so big. "No Pop-pop" she yelped with hesitation. Even though I like the candy for Halloween, the decorations scare her. She is still new at the holidays and all the decorating aspect of each holiday.

I didn't find any coffee at TJ Maxx, but yesterday my local Marshall's finally came through. Picked up both the Foolish Mocha brew and my usual Fall staple of Mickey's Not So Scary pumpkin blend.

I knew Pumpkin Mickey wouldn't let you down! My wife was unaware that I had already bought a pack of the Pumpkin, so when she was at TJ Max, she bought two more! Now I'm swimming in the stuff, and I'm still getting through my Haunted Mansion blend. Guess I'll be drinking Mickey through Christmas. This is not a bad thing.

The counts above show us that in only TWO WEEKS, the FINAL JOL Day of 2025 will be here, us having safely reached Spooky Season by then.

And tomorrow brings us the news that we are only TWO WEEKS away from October! I think the Bers are already going fast. It happens every year. The secret I think / am learning? Make the most out of every single day.

Side note: Abby LOVES Halloween. Every day she goes outside and looks at the pumpkins in the mulch bed, and goes over to our scarecrow and ceramic Halloween cat. She tells them goodnight and always says "Thank you for bringing me Halloween". I can't wait to see what Christmas is like!

Holidays are truly a blessing with kids. I don't fault those who don't want or can't have children, but it is amazing to see the magic in your childrens' eyes during this time of year.
