Morning all. Man my work week is messed up. Im working a shift at work for a friend this week. Im usualy working 12:30pm-9:30pm with saturday sunday off. This week Im working 7am-4pm with friday saturday off. So last weekend was pretty much saturday off and thats it. BUT this weekend I have friday saturday sunday off So thats better. Oh man I cant wait.... William has been sick and he has passed it onto me. Yipeee!! haha. Anyone pick up a copy of Super Mario Galaxy 2? I did and its good! Man Im tired. With William being sick he wakes up 2 hours after he falls asleep. Then he comes into our bed and rolls around either laughing, poking me or crying. So if anyone can throw some nap time my way that would be great. My Mom is coming down today as well. Her computer isnt working. Hard drive failure. I got her a new hdd, Windows 7 and a dvd light scribe burning drive. I am going to be installing that when I get home. Hopefully everything goes smoothly on that. Then I can relax. Anyone here use facebook? Do we have a mymerrychristmas group there? Oh well. This post is long enough haha. Have a great day!

Well, the statistics show that tomorrow will mark exactly two weeks until the 200-day Christmas Day Window.
Then both of our counts will be down in the 100's!

Wet, dreary conditions continue here in Raleigh where we stand at 68 degrees under heavy overcast skies.
Feels like we have had enough rain to fill a good sized lake over the past few days and there is more predicted for today & tomorrow before sunny skies return for Wednesday.
(Just in time for our Shispering Pines visit!)

It is a glorious day here with temps going up to almost 30c!

The sun is out, the birds are singing, it's a holiday, I have nothing urgent to do. I think I will go out and do some work in the garden, go for a walk and maybe just do nothing.

all is fine....just been working on the house...will be finishin up after postin here....and then we will go to a yearly fair we have here in my hometown...we got two...this one here....and then late august the big one...so kandice has been begging and beggin and asking and askin when were are going...lol....we will leave in 2 hours...have fun my friends and stay positive

Today we took the kittens to get there shots and couldn't get them because the vet said the kittens are probably no older than 4-4.5 weeks old, so we have now adopted them for 5 more weeks that is when they can get there shots. So, since we now have them for a while we decided to name them instead of calling them kitty 1, kitty 2, etc... So there names are Opelia, Sophie, Boots, Stripe, and Gomez (Gomez is after Gomez Addams because he has a little perfect mustache on his upper lip) We also learned 2 do not know how to eat wet cat food, so we had to feed them milk with a medicine dropper. I hope we didn't bite off more than we could chew.

Christmas is coming newspaper ad: In today's paper, in the coupons there was an ad to order 2010 Christmas Cards from Danbury Mint, it made me feel all warm inside when I saw it.

I love seeing Christmas ads early.

Well it turned out to be a hot day. My thermometer got to 92 this afternoon even though officially we only reached 87 and it looks like the heat is going to stick around for the rest of the week. With it being so hot my neighbor decided that it was the perfect day to make homemade ice cream and recruited me to help him. So I spent most of the evening packing the ice cream maker with ice and salt. We made cherry vanilla ice cream and invited everyone in our building over for some. It tasted really good and everyone seemed to like it. Then it was back in to the air conditioning to pay some bills online and relax awhile.

You sound like you have fantastic neighbors! When I helped manage apartments I got really tired of most of my neighbors because all they did was gossip and fight with everyone then bring it to me because I was in management. It was all very petty stuff and I got really tired of the gossip. It was down right mean gossip too. It was sad when someone was down on their luck, instead of helping them they just talked horrible about them behind their back. There were a few great people there though. We moved into a house and are surrounded by really nice people that don't spend all their time gossiping! cheesy

We have the sweetest stray cat that hangs around mine and my neighbors house. We both feed him. If I am outside with my grandkids, he will come and sit in my lap. I just LOVE this cat but cannot keep him. I have too many pets already and we are renting this house. Last night I stepped outside and saw him quite a distance away and he saw me, he started to head over to me and as he crossed the street a truck saw him and sped up TRYING TO HIT HIM! He even swerved his truck toward the curbed as the cat was trying to get on the sidewalk. He barely made it to the curb in time! I WAS SHOCKED! After the truck sped off I ran over there and grabbed him and brought him to my house then started crying. I am glad the cat is ok but just so upset that jerks like this exist! Imagine if he wants to go out of his way to harm an animal, what's next? Kids? This truck doesn't look familiar to me and I hope this person (or monster) doesn't come down our street again! I have been trying to find this cat a permanent home with no luck. Seeing what happened I am going to try a little harder.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's been a long weekend with lots of work to do, but we're making progress on the remodel. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

And Nancy (sort of) agreed to a quick trip to the mountians this weekend for Memorial Day. WooHoo! The "sort of" part is, I have to work extra hard getting the house back in order this week. That's ok. It's a small price to pay to get me back to my beloved mountains!

Today I have a few things to do, including calling the Financial Aid office to have something explained to me. It's gonna be another hot one today 92º! On Wednesday I am going to see if I got a job at the jewerly store that I applied to. We know 2 of the owners and my dad talked to one of them and he said that he might have a position for me!

I'm not a cat person by any means, but this is just plain mean. For all thay guy knew, that cat was someone's beloved pet that got away from the house. I can't stand people like that. Glad he made it!

Exactly! I feel like he is my beloved pet even though he is not officially mine. My whole family like him, even my parents pay attention to him when they come over. I wish my parents would take him. cheesy My next door neighbor has bonded with him as well, she can't take him in either. It's so unfortunate that I cannot keep him. Not only do I exceed my pet limit in my rental home but my 2 male cats I have already try to fight him through the window and completely tore up some blinds, that I had to replace, to get to him. My cats don't get along with him at all, it would be a mess if we moved him in, lol.

Like you mentioned not being a cat person, I am sure was the same with that guy in the truck. It's just a shame that he cannot leave the cat alone, he wasn't bothering anyone, just crossing the street. He don't have to like cats but he don't need to try and kill them. :-?

I have attempted to contact no kill shelters but they are all full.

That is just plain rude. If you don't like cats you don't have to own one and there is no need to go around trying to kill other peoples cats.

No one would have to bribe me to go to the mountains! I love them! We do not have any mountains nowhere nearby here. When I went through Colorado by train I thought I died and went to heaven! Have fun when you go!

My neighbors are great. We all get along and don't fight about anything unless someone doesn't clean up after one of their pets and one of the other neighbors step in it.
