As we keep moving on in our countdown, I'm excited about nearing the 100 days to Christmas mark. Once we get there, time will start really flying. Heck, I can't believe we are almost to the 70's on days to the season. Crown even said it is about time to put up the Christmas Blossoms thread for 2010. I can't wait to see the picture of that little store!

It is all REALLY exciting!!! I will have to see if there was a "Christmas Blossoms" thread from last year so I can find out what its all about! Thank you for the heads-up!

Just think....four months from today I will be getting up about right now to enjoy the best two days of the year. I try to get up early as not to miss any of the excitement. JUST FOUR MONTHS! Yes!

Have a good day friends.

Wow!!! Only 4 months to go!! This is so exciting!!

Well Good Morning Everyone,

Here we are another day closer to the start of the season. Last night I took my best friend to Cracker Barrel for dinner in honor of her birthday. They had a really nice Christmas Display in one area. They have some really neat and reasonably priced stuff. I was SO TEMPTED to make a purchase but I didn't. It was all about my friends birthday, and I didnt want to turn it into a Christmas frenzy! But of course I plan to go back on the weekend. I just gotta buy something.....i just gotta!!! Anyway, I wish everyone a merry and bright Tuesday!

Wow, I can't believe we are so close... once we get to September, I always wish time would slow down because the season FLIES!

Christmas-a-Holic - happy birthday to your granddaughter!!! :)

We have some nice, COOL weather today.. I am really tempted to put my fall stuff out but I know my hubby would just roll his eyes.. :) I usually wait until September 1.. let's see if I can hold off. I did see someone in my town with pumpkins outside yesterday and I got so excited!

Well said, coach. I recall the Christmas Blossoms thread starting last September 28th! We are nearly a month away! Certainly, it does not hurt to photograph any signs of the Christmas Season popping up even earlier, however! The excitement keeps building!

Indeed there was a "Christmas Blossoms" thread last year, ChristmasHeart, as there was in 2008.
You can find both in the "Hall of Fame" section of this site.
It consists of reader-contributed Christmas related photos taken by them or family/friends with the goal of helping everyone to get into the spirit of the Christmas Season.
It's popular and lots of seasonal fun, especially when you see your own photos posted!

Good Morning, Friends!

Speaking about the Christmas Blossoms thread is starting to get me into the spirit already!
.....And of course, gets me thinking about how far away we are.
<< You think about that every day, Crown. >>
Oh I know, but it helps to have a good lead-in.
<< Sigh >>
Days to the Season: 81
Days to Christmas Day: 123
TOMORROW, Guys! The 2/3 mark to Christmas Day 2010!!
(How fitting it occurs at the peak of the week so we can celebrate at the 'Pines.)

Rain is falling as I type this and we stand at 73 degrees.
It is supposed to clear away by tomorrow and hopefully will not be too hot.

Have a Terrific Tuesday, Folks!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

My mom took us out to a neat little restaurant last night. It's an old house that's been converted into a restaurant. When you're seated, they bring you a glass of iced peach tea that has a slice of lemon, peach and kiwi in it. Then they bring you a salad, then soup, then you're asked which of the three entree' choices you want. After the meal, they bring a tray with a dozen different desserts to choose from. When you're ready to go, just drop $10 apiece into a cup by the back door...no cashier or anything. It was a great meal!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

That sounds like a really neat restaurant!

Good Morning everyone!

My back is much better today. It's a good thing I decided to just rest after I hurt it. If I tried to keep going I probably would have made it worse.

My granddaughter is 1 today! :))

Good Morning everyone....

Christmas-a-holic - hope your feel better soon and that your granddaughter has a great birthday!

Woke up really early this morning and had to put the comforter on the bed as it was chilly!!! Perfect sleeping temps!

My husband and daughter are going to the Phillies game tonight. Had to pull out our Phillies throw blanket for them to take as I am sure it will be very chilly there. I amd going to take our little guy to Toys R us, Michaels and the Mall tonight and just browse.

Saw more geese flying south lastnight and this morning I spotted a ladybug in the house.

Have a great day everyone.

I re-lived a bit of last year's magic by viewing the Christmas Blossoms thread today. Hard to believe it will start again in about a month's time. Now that I have a proper camera (mine was too bulky last year), I will do my best to photograph both North Bay and Ottawa this year!

Good evening all!

We have returned from our weekend excursion To Lake George, NY. It was a good weekend, got up there Saturday weather was beautiful high 70's bright and sunny, we spent the whole day outside going to the village area full of arcades and kitschy souvenir stores but we love it. Sunday it rained all day long but we stayed out and did as much as we could including walking around the village and I made sure I went to my favorite store on the whole strip A Christmas to Remember it is all lit up with Christmas trees and lights and the Christmas music was playing, my wife and kids went out to see if Frankenstein was outside the Haunted House and I stayed in the store for a few minutes listening to the music and thinking I can't wait until Christmas. We came home today but before we left we went to the outlets and were doing some school shopping for JP, and my wife and I took our eyes off LC for mere seconds and he was gone we looked all over the store and outside really quickly, our worst thoughts were going through our heads, I went outside again and walked into the parking lot and he was running in the middle of the busy parking lot, smiling along, I ran and picked him up and yelled at him. That all happened in seconds not more than 10 seconds, that was the scariest thing I have ever been through.

Have a good night all!

I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip!!!!!!!!

I can't imagine how frightened you were when you realized LC was gone. I am glad you found him okay.

Good morning, everyone!!

One more day until our next milestone! 2/3 until Christmas! Seeing 80 Days to the Season is quite an accomplishment as well. It certainly will be nice to see the count in the 70s! It is actually a beautiful morning in Ottawa. The sun is shining and the sky is blue. It appears to be a summer morning, but there is no humidity! Quite possibly the most comfortable morning in some time. No complaints here. With that said, the humidity should return today and tomorrow. Then, it will return for the weekend and into next week!

A little busy getting some work done at the office. Only three more days of work after today. It is still surreal to think that I will be traveling to North Bay next week (at this time) and preparing for what could be my final year of post secondary education. Still, I am excited, nonetheless.

Following the gym, Kim and I are going to the old apartment one last time. We need to vacuum and clean a few things. Hopefully it will not take much longer than an hour.

Only four months until Christmas Eve! All this talk about being in a new city next week, but in four months, I will be at home with my family in one of the most comfortable and warming settings of life. That excites me a lot. Enjoy your Tuesday, everyone!!

We are still suffering 100+ temps here. Send your weather this way!

It is really hard to believe that there are just four more months to christmas Eve. I hope they don't fly by as quick as the last 8 have.
