Well, two inches already...at least two more to go! NO school, which means I'm kicked back, drinking coffee, and hanging out here with my MMC friends!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.....

To be honest, I am not a Black Eyed Peas fan but I thought the halftime show was very well done. Not a Guns and Roses fan either, but like how they did Sweet Child of Mine with Slash.

But most importantly, THE PACKERS WON!!!!!!!!!!!

Ohhh I was a BIG Guns N Roses fan when iw as a teenager.. Still like them today sooo needless to day I was NOT impressed with with her singing it last night. Sorry no one can sing that song like Axl but did think Slash did great.

Good morning everyone! cloudy and 45F rain all day today. I have a ton to do the next 2 days before I head out of town. Football is over now on to baseball please! Will I finally see snow this week? I don't know. But this winter is slowly breaking me! one day it's going to then forecast models say no at the last minute. then of course I'm either too far north or east or west or south or even better the system hops over me completly and continues right along. I think I should just quit my day job and become a snow chaser! have a great morning everyone!

Still not caught up on the post but my grandkids just got here. Time to make breakfast and catch up later.

Have a Marvelous Monday! cheesy

Good morning everyone... Great game.. great food... great company... great evening!

Yesterday afternoon we did manage to make a run to Home Depot and picked up some paint so that means we can start on our LONG to do list.

Kids were upset that their snowman has almost competely melted away. Maybe we willget another decent snow storm before the end of winter so they can make another one.

Well let the work week start.... Have a great day!

Good Morning, Folks.

Welcome to Monday and a new week after a Super Duper Sunday!
(Hey! The Packers won. What more can I say?)

Straight to the count without delay as I'm sure everyone is busy this chilly Monday morning:
Days to the Season: 279
Days to Christmas Day: 321
A mere 5 days left until Milestone #2 arrives, the the one quarter mark to the begining of Christmas Season 2011!

Again cold.
Each morning for the last 3 has been colder than the one before. It is 34 under cloudy skies here as I type this, with a strong prediction of rain this afternoon and tonight. Snow is possible Thursday.
(Winter certainly has not lost it's grip around here, yet!)

Well, be you cold, warm or somewhere in between, have a Marvelous Monday, Friends!

Being an American I thought the National Anthem stunt was uncalled for. I am getting sick of people getting up to do it who either have no talent or have no idea what the words are. I am not only person to have these feelings and what follows is another persons opinion that I know and they state it very well.

Recording artist Christina Aguilera completely butchered the National Anthem at the beginning of Sunday's Super Bowl. She messed up the lyrics and forgot the words ... but no one noticed, right? Wrong! It seems like everyone is talking abou...t Aguilera's mess up.

Maybe she was just nervous, since she was singing live, but maybe she should have had a teleprompter to help her out. It's an honor to be asked to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl and it doesn't seem like she took it too seriously. All of the ad libs she did ruined the song even more and it just wasn't good.

I agree 100%. I always thought they should have military people sing it, then you know it will be sung with respect and reverance. Professional singers just think it is a time to showcase their talent and sell albums. I actually missed this one, so I didn't see it live but I read about it on the internet. Of course the absolute worse was what Rosanne did that one time several years ago, not that I ever really liked her, but I lost all respect for her after that.

Well, my team didn't win.....but hey....after the Cowboys season I'm used to it. I'm a huge NFL fan...and a huge NASCAR fan....when NFL is over....NASCAR starts...and NASCAR carries me right to the doorstep of Christmas....

I used to be such a huge NASCAR fan, I would get so excited about Daytona, I would even take off of work to watch the Twin 125 qualifying races. (I don't even know if that's what they are called anymore)But when they brought in the chase format, I lost interest. I do keep up with it somewhat, but I don't sit and watch the races anymore. I am going to try to keep up with it a bit better this year though. My favorite driver is Jeff Burton.

You wouldn't have to chase it here, it finds you over and over and over...

I hope everyone enjoyed the game, sounds like it was a good game. My voluntary boycott of it went well ... One week from today Spring Training begins, as a Red Sox fan I have huge expectations for them this year ...

We do "alternate programming" for the Super Bowl, too. We put on our Red Sox sweatshirts, have hot dogs and baked beans, and watch an old Sox classic game on DVD. Yesterday it was Game 6 of the 2004 ALCS, followed by "Fever Pitch." I also caught the Kitty Halftime Show on the Puppy Bowl.

I heard a clip of it on the radio this morning. I would hope that anyone who's going to sing the National Anthem in public would have enough respect for the U.S.A. to learn the words and music, but some popular music figures don't feel the same way. If you DO know the words and the music, this is not a proper song to improvise on.

I'm probably the only one who thinks it cheapens the National Anthem when they ask people to rise for "God Bless America" during the 7th-inning stretch of a baseball game. Yes, it's a fine, stirring song, but it shouldn't be accorded the same special respect due to the National Anthem.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!! It is a warm morning but the temperature is going to drop throughout the day and we are going to have a high of 13 for the couple of days. I need to run a few errands today and then it will be back home to do some more laundry. I really don't know how 2 people can have so much laundry but me and mom seem to have enough to do at least one load everyday. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Yesterday started good, but ended badly. We have a pretty close office here at work. Gail, the office manager, has two sons, 28 & 32. The youngest son had recently bought a new Camaro, souped up with 400hp, stick shift, etc). He was killed at 10 am yesterday morning after he missed at curve at 100+ MPH. I spent most of the afternoon and evening at his mom & dad's house. Poor Gail was so distraught. I can't imagine how they feel. It breaks my heart.

It's hard to concentrate here at work today. I'm sure her family would appreciate any prayers & good thought you can send their way today.

I hope you all have a great day!

Good morning,

Just sitting here relaxing listening to Merry Christmas Radio, I still have no interest in listening to other types of music, I will listen to sports talk radio but that has been about it. It actually was quite mild outside when I sanded the driveway for JP to catch his bus it is listed at 30*F but that feels mild after the deep freeze we have been in since early December. Back to work later today. I am going to go pour myself a glass of OJ kick back and listen to some Christmas music.

Have a great Monday!

Well sounds like several ways to spend Super Bowl Sunday took place yesterday. While I don’t have a complete dislike of NFL Football I could care less as well. When an average family can no longer afford to take their children to a game anymore due to expense and the actions of other fans is when I started caring a whole lot less for the game. My little group of people that watched the game yesterday call them the players that is the NFL Thugs. I know not all players are that way but as they say one rotten apple….. As with a lot of sports, it’s all about the money now and not the sport. Then we have the fans who no longer know how to act in public. I like beer and enjoy a glass now and then, but I feel beer sales at all public sporting events should be stopped. That would calm a lot of the wild ones down.

Any way as I said a little group of us all over the United States get together and watch things on TV when it’s something big as in Super Bowl, Nascar, and oh yes the main one every year, A Christmas Story as well. We all share what little special dinner we make or snacks as then we talk back in forth as we watch, ad-libbing and who knows what else. We use Yahoo IM for it and have a ball. So yes we watched the Super Bowl for the ads, the half time show, and any other stupidity we might have spotted during the game. In all nobody could have cared less who won. Well we did, we won as friends, and we had a great time.
