Greetings friends from snowy central Illinois. I'm not complaining at all about the wintery weather as this has been a relatively mild winter. I work in public transit and weather can cause serious operational havoc so I'm counting my blessings in that regard. Yesterday I had some time so I scrolled through the 2009 Christmas countdown. I was like wow this thing sure has grown. It was so cool so see everyone at that time hoping for 8000 posts vs last year when 30,000 was the goal! And it was really fun to see the excitement that everyone was feeling as Christmas 2009 approached. This site never ceases to amaze me. Have a great day friends.

You are so right, I love going through them and seeing what was going on who was posting and when they really started to post often. Too funny about the number of post right. It still blows me away, I wonder how many we will have come the end of this year, I bet at least 45k, it is fun to have all these memories.

I'm living in the Twilight Zone!

We have lived in this house for 8 years and the light above the sink has never worked. The landlord came out to fix it and it worked for like "2 minutes" and never worked again. I forgot about it and never really needed it anyway.

Okay, this gets weird. I went to turn on the faucet and I felt a slight static shock and the light came on! It scared the crud out of me with this sudden beam of light shining down on me!

Ohhh be careful CAH, you need to have that looked at by a licensed electrician.

NO NO NO! What do you mean! The internet is all powerful and is never wrong.

LOL

I left my bedroom door open and found Penny really enjoying my bed!

What a sweet picture true bliss

My grandchildren were over earlier and watching Mickey's Christmas Carol. I said, "oh no, there's Scrooge"! My grandson looked at me and said, "I thought his name was Steve"? I said, "Ebeneezer Steve"??? He said, "yes".

Just sayin' I'm making a trip to the Pines and I have some fresh, very tasty Sheetz coffee ready to go for Carl.

Yahhh for Sheetz coffee! Gotta love it!

Sneaking a peek ... I'm about burnt out on the work I'm doing. I still don't have a full-blown cold, but I do feel crummy ... sore-ish throat, tired, kinda achy and headachy. I hope there's time to relax tonight.

Try this: When I have a lot of posts to catch up with, I start doing one multi-post reply per page of posts. Then you can just use the list under your "back" button to get back to the last page of posts you read. Repeat until you're caught up. Then you've only lost your reply for the last page of posts if the connection drops. Works pretty good for me.

MC this is perfect advice, thank you and I am doing that right now. I hope you fight that cold off and start feeling better.

Hey everyone! Looks like I'm going to be stuck in tomorrow. The meteorologists were only calling for an inch of snow from this evening to tomorrow morning, and we already have three. I looked out the window and it is a complete white out. They are calling for more snow tomorrow, tomorrow night, and some Saturday. I really can't afford to be missing class but I'm going to have to if the roads are bad!

Just be careful if you do have to go out.

Work just called and put me on call for tonight. I guess we will see how long it stays like that for. It will be nice it I never get called in though. I will end up having a 3 day weekend and then I can sleep all night too.

It will also be nice because then I won't have to drive in this snow!!!

Oh Sugar I hope you get that extra day!!?

My grandchildren were over earlier and watching Mickey's Christmas Carol. I said, "oh no, there's Scrooge"! My grandson looked at me and said, "I thought his name was Steve"? I said, "Ebeneezer Steve"??? He said, "yes".

LOL!!!! That made me laugh so hard I had tears, that was a good laugh thank

Just checking in before bedtime. It's nice to sit in bed with the netbook and catch up. If I could ring for tea or cocoa, it would be perfect!

It's Snowing! cheesy

Huh! It hasn't started out here yet. (Not that I'm looking forward to clearing the walkways and the car tomorrow morning before the commute ...)

MC this is perfect advice, thank you and I am doing that right now. I hope you fight that cold off and start feeling better.

I'm glad that works for you! I've hung around here long enough to learn a few tricks.

I'm not feeling sore in the throat right now, just feeling vaugely under the weather. I hope a good sleep will get it all out of my system.

Well time for me to get some sleep. TTYL

we've decided we're all going to be in scrubs and lab coats to honour the researchers, nurses and doctors who are helping people diagnosed with cancer and then for our personal touch to honour a specific hero, we'll use our scrub head gear for that part. Our tents will be the site of our Darth Vadar Doctor Light Saber Duels.

I love this idea!

hey guys! I just wanted to give a little update on that little girl Mia I told you about. Her story has started going national, praying that she can get the surgery because she deserves to live!

Amen! Let's all keep praying that she does. God Bless her and her family!

Tomorrow is my MRI. I received a call from Genomic Health today about the genetic testing of the tissue. It will be overnighted to them, and I will have results in about seven days. I went to oncotypedx.com and learned more about it. Very interesting!!!

Sorry that I obviously would have read this after you had your MRI, but still praying for you. Keep us updated. (((Seawaters)))

Okay folks, I am going to go spend some time with DH. I got through the begining of today's posts, so I'm not doing too bad.

I hope you're all having a great evening. If you're on the East Coast, good night to you, because you're all about ready to head to be I'm sure.

Good night - talk to you all tomorrow. It's almost the weekend! :-D

I am soooo behind. Ballgames, working late nights, early morning, and long hours. I have one more night of ballgame duty and I will catch up Saturday morning. Going to need two pots of coffee to do all this catching up! Hope everyone is well!

Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!!

Did he still have to pay the co-pay?

I don't think we had to pay anything because he never left the waiting room. The custodian used his plumbing wire cutters. My mom joked later about the bill costing more coming from the custodian than it would have coming from the doctor.

Good morning all. Seems as though it was a good time at the pines and fun was had by all. The coffee sounded delish and so did the cake. I'm sad I missed most of the activities as I just dropped off for a moment. So it's Thursday, that means tomorrow's Friday which also means I'm happy. Can't wait for the weekend. Have a great day everyone, I'll see you on here later!:snowball:

We had a great time at the Pines. Friday is upon us now!

We actually had a snowstorm! It only lasted about 3 hours, but hey, it was a snowstorm!!!

We got another dumping of snow yesterday, only lasted two hours. The snow covered creek is nearly level with the snowy bank - that's a fair bit of snow.
