Tombi is an Elephant at Indianapolis Zoo. It picked the Patriots to win the super bowl and the local news stations where joking that the zoo put it up for sale after the prediction.

:hello: O'Malley the cat predicts an early Spring. If he goes to the sliding doors to be let out on the 2nd of February, it's a good sign, if he curls up in a ball in the pet bed he barely fits into, it's gonna be a cold and long winter.
He headed to the sliding doors twice before noon. So there you have it.

Good evening, dear Christmas family !

I am finally finished working this evening.

I had forgotten how tiring it can be to train a new furchild, though I am glad to have my new little Hermione. I take her out it seems like every few seconds because she is so young (barely eight weeks old !!) It is so WORTH IT though. When she makes mistakes I don't yell at her as she doesn't understand. I just take her out and let her sniff and sometimes we have success !! I am sure to give her lots of kisses and hugs and try to make her feel loved without forgetting my other furkids of course, especially my Wishbone. Hermione is getting the idea and I am sure eventually all will be fine. She plays with my adult Rhodesian Ridgeback and you should see them !!! She climbs all over Clancy and Clancy doesn't say a word....just plays with her right back and of course lets Hermione know if she is crossing the line too much. As soon as I get my laptop back, I will post pictures more pictures of her. Can we post our own videos here on MMC ?? If so, I will post a video of Hermione and Clancy playing together !

Wishbone is still doing well regarding his heart and Ivy and Clancy are well too. My two kitties, Smokey and Lily have finally gotten used to Hermione and now ignore her for the most part. Lily is getting fixed next week and though I dread how uncomfortable I know she will be I will be glad that she is fixed. We just went through her first and only heat cycle with her. Yoy !! it was awful !!

Work is good but they changed me to Monday through Friday on a temporary basis and I am not used to it. Thank God tomorrow is FRIDAY !!!

I got the notice to renew my Hallmark Ornament membership in the mail and I am so EXCITED about it !! The club ornaments this year are AMAZING !! I can't wait for the new catalog of ornaments for 2012 !

I hope all are well. I have missed SO MUCH on the site lately. You have all been with me in my prayers and in my heart. I could NEVER forget my Christmas family !!

I am wondering if Winter is EVER going to arrive this year. I know we have had warm Winters before but this really concerns me. I am not saying what is responsible for it but I do believe the Earth is getting warmer. I hope the poor planet can "fix" itself somehow. This weather is just not right.

Thanks CM3!!! My niece is doing okay. She has her good days and bad days but overall she seems to be doing better since the last round of steroid injections. I haven't really started hunting for a job for myself yet. I've been concentrated on helping my mom get her resume ready and helping her put in applications online. She can't afford to be without insurance real long. I'd hate to see how much her insulin would cost a month without coverage. Luckily she just got a 6 month supply filled right before she got let go.


I hope you get your laptop fixed soon!!!! I know it almost killed me the week I was without mine last year.

Watching a rather lackluster hockey game, I am exhausted, my foot is cranky and very painful, I have not taken my pain meds since I was sick over the weekend, I have been afraid to take it with a weak stomach. Trying to be positive about my foot though. Hopefully it will be better soon.

Guess its a catch 22. between the meds and the stomach. you probably need the pain kllers but again they can annoy the stomach. are you on inflamation tablets as well? they are really sore on the stomach.

On Jan 9th we finally moved into our first apartment. This will be the first year I am finally in control of decorations for the holidays. I am over joyed with this. I have been looking at photos, buying things on discount and planning the tree. I can't wait to decorate early like an insane (but happy) christmas fiend

well not sure about the weather today, as i've not seen dawg's weather post but yesterday was gorgeous. felt like a mid spring day. sigh of envy! sure hope today has similar temps.
bought me a coupon organizer & gonna try to empty out all my envelopes full of them & try to....well, organize some.
my hubby has to go out of town next week & i hate it. when he came in yesterday he said their talking about sending him to china in late March early April. uugh. next week he's off to Tennessee which isn't so bad but China?
i feel so uneasy w/out him here. 21 years & my heart still skips a beat!
looking forward to this weekend as it's gonna be my last few days off for a while. i hope to get lots done but we'll just have to wait & see.
i'll be checking in often today. 1st i'm gonna drop daughter off @ school & go by my rents to send them off. their going to my sissy's @ the beach for a week. they go very often & just last night i was "fussing" w/ my mama that they need a cell phone. they go all the time & do not have one. when my mama goes on day trips i usually give her mine to use. she did say they were talking about it but..... they're older & their car isn't new by any means so i worry something could happen. i'll set my clock when they leave & will await their phone call telling me they made it @ a set time. they think it's funny, i think it's practical, what do ya'll think?

We are just fine, CM3. Thanks for asking! So happy Hermione is settling in. I was just talking to a neighbor of mine a few houses down. They have a 7 month old sheltie, and just adopted a 3 month old sheltie as well. They've never raised dogs, or had dogs in the family. They were saying that they never realized how much work was involved...um, yea!!! lol
I remember those days for Harlowe. I was a nervous wreck! But it is such a rewarding experience <3 xo

So refreshing to hear your approach on potty training! Exactly the way I do it. No need for hollering as it's not as effective in training. Just lots of love and praises when they do good and they catch on! I NEVER can seem to get mad at my animals ever! Lots and lots of baby talk! They are so spoiled!

About a video, I posted one as a blog. I don't see why you couldn't do the same.

Asking how I am feeling? I have felt great the past 2 days! Yay! Let's hope it stays that way!!!

tgif everyone! IT's been a tough week,but a quick one too! It was 52-55 degrees on the drive in to work this morning and so far it looks like it will bw party cloudy/sunny today only a 30% chance of rain tonight and tomorrow. But it will be in the 80's tomorrow,talk about humid!!! oh well not much planned this weekend. We are having our neighbor julie over tomorrow(neighbor whose dog passed away this week) she went back to work,but she is really dvastated about her dog and I know exactly what it feels like. I guess I will root for the Gaints but that is only through default because I am anti patriots.lol I do enjoy the commercials at superbowl...the last few years have not been as good but I hear this year is suppose to be better and I would have to agree since I have seen a few of the sneek peeks. Hope everyone has a great Friday!!!

Then they told us not to panic these are videos from Denver! Just as iliam was talking about! Then they came back from another commercial talking about school cancellations with a long pause, in Denver. They are always silly on this local morning news show. Trying to make people think it's happening here. Of course I know better! laying:

Your not beleive this i do the same thing and thats only my uncle walking into the town . if he says he will be back in a hour and he is not back round the time i start to panic. and if by any chance i hear a amblance siren am panic stations right away.. i just dont want anything happening to him. just like yourself i guess. and he thinks its funny to .!!!!!

We had the most wonderful schnitzel and German potato salad in the world last night! We even had fresh bread baked using ingredients shipped over from Germany. The worst part of the meal was when I was too full to eat more. Heartbreaking! I guess I didn't go all out for the German meal, 'cause I washed it down with sweet tea. I just asked myself, "What would Crown do?"

I have a busy day lined up, so I better get back to it. I'll check back in in a bit.

I am sorry but thinking of 80* weather is depressing to me, I like the cold. I feel for your neighbor, I hope things get better for her. So far from what I heard about the commercials is the Matthew Broderick one is the one to beat, that is the only one I have seen so I can't judge yet.

A bright, chilly morning here, my wife has her Mary Kay open house tonight, so I am in charge of getting the kids out of here so they don't interrupt the party, I am taking them to an indoor playscape place, and then Burger King for dinner. I will be exhausted by them tonight. Next weekend we go to a wedding in Vermont, maybe there will be some snow up there.
