Good Morning, MMC!!

How are you guys today?

I am doing pretty good.
Had a fun drive into work today! I rolled the windows down, and turned up Michael Buble's Christmas CD!! :-D

It's going to be hot again today, high of 105. If I were back in WI, I'd take the day off & head to the lake!! Now that sounds like fun!

Well, not much new here. I'm thinking about heading to Hobby Lobby this weekend to see if they've put any of their Christmas out yet. Michaels still hasn't either, I was at least hoping for some Fall decorations. We are so close!

Hope you all have a Christmassy day!!!

:tree:

I have a question for those of you who are home owners......It may sound silly but....I have started looking at small homes and condos with the intention of buying early next year. If any of you are in a condo....Do you miss that you don't get to decorate the whole wide front of a house and yard at Christmas? And for those of you that are in a house...how much enjoyment does decorating your yard bring you? I found some really homey condos I really liked at a good price...but then it dawned on me that I wouldnt get to fully decorate at Christmas(and also that if we got a snowfall that only stuck to the grass, as we so often do around here, that i would miss it because my yard would be a parking lot haha.) I would appreciate all of your opinions..Thanks!

I love being able to do whatever I want to my yard for Christmas, when we lived in an apartment we decorated outside but it was more subdued, I change it a little every year, and when I finally get that antique sleigh here I will probably use that as the centerpiece.

If you want, you should start this on a new thread also, you will possibly get more answers from the members who don't visit this thread.

If FIL takes a sudden turn for the worse it could stop us, but I'm trying not to think that way---'cause vacation is looking more and more real! I've been playing Hawaiian music in the car.

If you were unconsciously bracing yourself against the waves to keep your balance, that could have put extra stress on your foot ...

I will keep your FIL in my thoughts.

It was tough to balance in the wave pool and try to keep JP from getting more than an arm length away from. But the pain was worse than it was in awhile. The bracing myself probably was the reason.

Afternoon MMC!

Haven't been on in a few days, my 10 week old daughter had her first cold!, which meant that it was a weekend without sleep!

The upside was she smiled after every sneeze :-D

She is better now and i got a great nights sleep last night, hope everyone here is ticking along their own merry road.

Spirit

I always felt so helpless when my boys were so sick when they were babies, even though they always looked miserable they were always happy.

Hello Christmas friends! :-D

I hope you all are having a very merry Tuesday. I am filled with the Christmas spirit today. Just got an email from Bath and Body Works saying that their semi annual sale starts tomorrow...I may have to finally start my Christmas shopping!

And I just realized that we only have a little over a month until Christmas in July!

Oh and xmas365, I have just decided to watch Gremlins tonight thanks to your signature! cheesy

Talk to all of you later.

Good evening!
I have baked Cupcakes for everyone!

Hope YOU (Yes, especially you!) have a GREAT GREAT day! =]

It completely fell apart before it reached us. We really need the rain too. We are now officially in a drought.

I am so sorry to hear that! The grass is getting brown here and the pond is way down (seasonal creek is just a damp looking hole) - a month and a half early. I'm not sure if we are in an official drought yet, but I know it looks like we are.

what type of business do you have meceka? i can tell how hard you work @ it.

I rent a space at an antique mall. I am looking to expand into a bigger space where I currently am (great traffic!) or maybe into another town, depending on the rent and what else they want you to do. It is a lot of work, but I do get to work at my own pace and when I want (for the most part). It is fun, too! The drawbacks: business is down this year, it is getting hard to find stock, it is very hard to tell what is going to sell one month and not the next and I don't make enough at it to do this as my only source of income. One thing I can say, I always have something to keep me occupied!

hey y'all! went w/ my sis to her dr.'s appt today. recheck on her back, everything is going great. funniest thing though, we get to the appt & as we get out of the car she puts her backbrace on as though she's been wearing it the whole time right? when we are leaving she says laughing, "he said i don't need it anymore i've worn it long enough", huh? she's such a nut! we spent the afternoon together while hubby, daughter, & her friend were @ the beach.

tomorrow is daughter's 16th b-day & i've ordered her a sweet 16 charm & necklace. it will be in tomorrow around 1pm. we are all going out to supper tomorrow night & then back here for cake & i think that's when we'll give it to her. hope she likes it. she & her friend are a bit bored tonight since we are not doing anything but, hate it for them, i need some down time some times. it's my vacation too.
cah, i hope your day was nice w/ your granddaughter!

y'all take care, love, hugs, & smiles to everyone!!

Hi, Merry! I am glad you are enjoying your vacation - being by the ocean would be lovely! It is great to read that all is going well with your sister! Happy Sixteenth birthday to your daughter, too! Have a great day!!!

Good evening, Christmas family..

Finished working for the day and just taking it easy now. I have been feeling Christmassy all day so I may turn on The Polar Express or maybe one of the Mrs. Miracle movies.....I have quite a few Christmas things on my DVR....I have also been really cold today for some reason even though it is actually quite muggy outside here....

In only five months it will be time to put the tree up again !!!! Yay !!!! And Christmas music will be back on Music Choice !!!

I am thinking of getting my sister a Kindle Fire.....Does anyone know if any of the Kindle family will surf the web ?? She wants a reader that also surfs the web........I can't afford to get her an iPad (boy would I LIKE TO HAVE ONE too !!) but I want to get her something that will some of what the iPad does..........

Made - You are such a kind hearted and good man. I admire you so much ! ! xo

Xmas - How is your foot ? I hope it is better ! xo

((Seawaters))) - You are my inspiration. Praying that this round will not be bad xo

Meceka, Christmasstar, MerryMistletoe, CAH, Snowflake, Sugar, MerryCarey, Lauriebear, Shellie big girlie ((((HUGS))) for all of you xo

(((HUGS))) to Harlowe, Ella, Snowball, Pocket, Penny, Palmer, Mouse, Bo, Victor, Maggie, Gomez and siblings, Chico and siblings, Scooby, Sasha, Maureen's furkids, Snickers, and all furchildren everywhere, especially those who are mistreated and abused or abandoned xo

I have a Nook Tablet - you can surf the web on that. You don't need Tapatalk to access MMC, either. I think there are more free books and stuff with Kindle, though. I know that there is also something called Prime with it - you might want to check that option out if your sister likes to watch movies and television. You should take her to a place that has them on display and have her play around with them and see which one she likes - if she is like my sister, it would be easy to do that by saying you were looking to get yourself one and wanted her opinion. cheesy
Thank you for always remembering Bo, Palmer, Mouse and I in your thoughts and prayers - very much appreciated!
Hugs to you and your furkids!!!!

It is sore everyday, I probably will have pain for a long time according to my Dr. Some days are worse than others, I have been able to start running recently without too much pain. The worst pain I have felt was actually yesterday in the wave pool at Six Flags, I don't know why but that really hurt my foot a lot.

I'm sorry to read that you are going to have pain for a bit - I hope it becomes pain-free quicker than expected!

Right must go and get the day started . you all take care and talk soon

You take care, too, Shellie - I hope your day goes well!

For future reference, they're Jacob and Cracker!!!!!!!!!

I remember Jacob's name - is that because he gets into a lot of trouble?

This past Sunday our pastor did a sermon about Noah's Ark and the focus was on the rainbow. In other words no matter what happens in your life there is always the rainbow to show that life gets better.

I had told him after the sermon that is so true because someone had just said to me, "2012 has been a bad year for you"! My uncle passed away and Wayne got put in the hospital. I immediately said, "no, I will not adopt that attitude". It WILL be a good year and unfortunately things happen. Don't get me wrong, I am still immensely sad that my uncle is gone and I was worried sick about Wayne while he was in the hospital. Unfortunately, I cannot change the circumstances in my life and must move forward and make the best of it with the family around me. I also have the fondest memories at my uncle's house for Christmas but I love Christmas and so did he so I must look forward to the holiday season on his behalf and I will! Christmas has always been therapy for me during rough times and it has always worked. I am not sure it will work in all situations in my life but I can only hope! I see the rainbow!

Merry Christmas Cheer to all!!!!

Gosh, I do so admire your positiveness! I'm going to be that positive, too - I see the rainbow! Thank you for being one of the inspirations on here, too! A very Merry Christmas kind of day to you, CAH!!!!

What a great attitude!

I so agree!

If FIL takes a sudden turn for the worse it could stop us, but I'm trying not to think that way---'cause vacation is looking more and more real! I've been playing Hawaiian music in the car.

That's a lesson it would do me well to learn on days when circumstances are getting me down.

I am thinking positive thoughts for you and of course, saying prayers for your FIL and MR. I, too, must learn that lesson when things are looking down.

Afternoon MMC!

Good afternoon, SpiritOfXmas - I'm glad your daughter is doing well!

Is it nap time yet? My youngest niece is crying about everything this morning.

I hope she settles down soon - have a good day!!

One of my favorites, enjoy!

Enjoying my last few minutes in the quiet, the boys and wife should be home any second, it is getting dark and cloudy here right now, some rain and t-storms coming in. The boys are going to freak out if it starts thundering out, after the tornado last year any loud noises outside scare them now. I hope all is going well today.

Good Morning, Everybody.

To mark our progress, we meet here each morning to review the count.
So here goes:
Days to the Season: 154
Days to Christmas Day: 196
Under 2 weeks now until Milestone # 10, the half-way Christmas Day marker.

I cannot believe that are under 2 weeks to the 1/2 way mark to Christmas day... It feels like it was just Jan 1st, my how time pass by...

too cute love it

I own a Condo, and well I love it. I had a house about 5 years ago and decided to "shrink" I have a corner unit so I paid a little more, but this enables me to do a full lawn display and by lawn display I really mean on grass with full grown bushes and all. I will "hunt" up my photos and add them in so you can see my full display. We do lights, candy canes, a wreath, little snowmen, a big snowman, a village, and a moving deer. I have bows in the bushes, Santa, you name it. Now, I know some Condo's may have by-laws and such that may not allow you to do this, they may regulate what they will and will not allow you to do, when you are buying I asked my agent to get me a copy of the rules and we actually liked a few but decided they had too strict of a by-law and just kept looking until we found what we wanted. I like that I have the easy lifestyle of not having to shovel that much (don't let them kid you - shoveling is not 100% by them ie - your car if you don't have a garage. I went for this end unit truly because it had a lawn and that was important to me not just for my Christmas Display. I noticed the older the unit is the more of a "lot" of yard you get here in NY, not sure about other areas. Decorating outside is a master plan that me & my hubby do the day after Thanksgiving and it has become such a tradition that if someone wants us to do something now he will be like "oh, no we can't we start our outside Christmas display" this from a man who once thought I was crazy over how much time and love I put into my display's too funny!!! Good luck in your search.
