I need a little boot in the butt this evening for feeling glum and sorry for myself. My only chance to see Mr. today was before 7 p.m., because he's looking after his dad this evening, and I'll be asleep when he gets home. One of our deep-pocketed clients at the office came up with a request for some new ads at the end of the day, so I had to stay late. I got home just in time for our cars to pass each other on the street as I was getting in and he was leaving. In the morning he'll be asleep when I get up; tomorrow night he's going to his dad's right after work, so I'll be asleep when he gets in ... at this rate I won't see him long enough to talk to until Wednesday afternoon when we leave for the convention. Thanks, client.

To be realistic, that client helps to fund my paycheck, and other folks have much bigger woes than I ... but I felt so forlorn when our cars passed and I couldn't even kiss him on his way. Life is like that. I've got to learn to roll a little bit.

(((((Merrry))))) Awww... That's so sweet.....Nice to read about folks who actually MISS their spouses when they dont' see them......I hope you two get together soon xooxo Praying for your FIL xo

I need to finish some laundry and clean off the kitchen table. TTYL

Hey friends! What are you all up to tonight? I am just sitting here, relaxing with my DH and EA. DS is already in bed. Hopefully, EA will go to bed soon!

Not much is new. I lot I would get caught up on here soon, but I don't know what I was thinking, today was truly my day off, but I do sleep some of the morning, so I didn't I really didn't sign on here today. I will do that tomorrow, which my coffee!

Anything new with anyone else? Hope all is well in all your lives. I am excited about the E-card exchange! Can't wait to recieve your cards! :)

I know exactly how you feel, sorta! I say, "sorta" because Wayne and I have not had that happen to that extent but by the time he gets off work I am about to fall asleep. We do talk every night before I go to sleep but it would be so nice to have a few hours together every night instead of 15-30 minutes but at least I get that. I can't complain, we take a walk together every morning before he leaves for work and it's nice and of course every Saturday is OUR DAY! I hope things slow down a bit so you can have a little more time together. When you two get to go to the convention together, that will be nice!

Hey gang!

So, this morning I left and drove two hours for a one hour meeting, drove back one hour and 45 minutes for a three hour meeting, drove home 15 minutes for a two hour meeting, then took a 10 mile bike ride.

I can't wait until Wayne and I get our bikes! Sounds like you had a nice bike ride!

Anything new with anyone else? Hope all is well in all your lives. I am excited about the E-card exchange! Can't wait to recieve your cards! :)

I am looking forward to it too!

I had a nice surprise today. My daughter came over with the grandkids and my grandson had his guitar and a notebook. He told me he wrote me a song. I sat down and he played the guitar while my grandson played the "drums" (drumsticks on the floor) and he sang the words from his notebook. It was so cute! I was not expecting that!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!! The heat has returned. We are headed for a high of 99 degrees later today and we may break 100 tomorrow. It's already been a busy morning here. My neighbor called about 6:30am to tell me that his daughter's car wouldn't start and wanted me to ride with him to give her a jump start. Then I had to go with him for a walk around the cemetary. Now I'm back home and watching HSN. I'm pretty sure the christmas tree they have on the set is the exact same tree they had last year. They probably just threw a tarp over it and rolled it back to the storage room last year. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Made, you are truly are a good Samaritan, you're always helping everyone out whenever they need you. I admire that.

Morning! I haven't been around much lately. I plan to watch some HSN today, even though I don't htink they hold a candle to QVC! I still think it'll get me in the spirit a bit. Hard to feel Christmasy in this awful weather, though. I went to the Hallmark Ornament Premiere yesterday, which was nice! The weekend before, we were at the shore and went to my favorite Christmas store. So many ornaments - so overwhelming! (In a good way) Wish I could've browsed longer but I was worrying that one of the boys would break one of the beautiful ornaments, so we bought 2 and scurried out! :)

Have a great day and stay cool!

This weather has been awful, I know what you mean about the kids in a breakable laden store, I have dreams we will be bankrupt because my boys go "bull in a China shop" in a high end store, it's quite scary. cheesy

I agree that most of the Hallmark movies are super cheezy and the story lines are a bit silly. Even if I don't like the story I love to just have it on for the beautiful Christmas decorations, snow and the music they play. They tend to go overboard on decorating everything on the set, which I love! I will just have it playing in the background while I do other things. Then when December rolls around I don't watch Hallmark as much. I turn on other channels for the Christmas movies, cartoons and shows I love. Hallmark just keeps me content when the other stations don't show Christmas yet. There are just a few Hallmark movies that I really like. :D

You can go overboard with decorating? cheesy

I like some of them, but like you said some are just silly. Most of em I just put on but don't really watch. DVRed lots last year and even now in the summer boredom I just fall asleep trying to watch them. I have noticed the ones that were originally a CBS Hallmark Hall of Fame tend to be the much better ones.

I have tried to watch "The Night Before The Night Before Christmas" quite a few times the last 2 years, I just haven't been able to do it. I did watch "Battle of the Bulbs" last year, it reminded me of a cheaper version of "Deck the Halls," which I unfortunately did not like.

I must tell you a true story--it just happened. I have said many times on the Countdown that I do not like or use the "s" (stupid) word. It grates on my nerves. Well, this morning, around 7 a.m. or so, you probably heard me shout it from the roof tops. You see, I got up early to make a "from scratch" cake. I put in the VERY LAST ingredient (the final cup of flour) and something was niggling in my brain. I went to my flour sack (a plastic bag I use to put the flour in when I put it in the freezer). For some reason, I decided to taste the flour. Well, it wasn't flour at all but powdered sugar!!!!! I had to start over and redo the cake. Luckily, I had a brand new bag of flour and enough buttermilk to make another one! I really wanted this cake to turn out because I am taking it out to the pharmacy staff at Wal-Mart. They have been so gracious to us every single time we have a prescription. They go out of their way to get my medicine ready in less than an hour, every single time. So, I went to one of my old Southern Living standbys that I have made over 40 times. But STUPID kicked in before I could even finish. Thank goodness I decided to try the flour (finally) or the pharmacy would have had a "cake" of cooked frosting! Hubby let me blame it on chemo brain. Do you guys still want to be my friend?

Of course we do, we all make silly mistakes. Its all normal.

It rained, It rained!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It only lasted about an hour but that was the most rain we've seen in 3 months.

Good question! But overboard is a good thing when it comes to decorating!!! :D I love the decorating Hallmark does in all their movies. Makes me want to jump into the TV.

The movie, The Christmas Card, that was on last night, I told Wayne I wish I could live in that house. Seemed so cozy for Christmas and nicely decorated!

Thanks, Made! Your a gem! I know what I will be doing! I will be watching the shopping networks for sure and be on here. I can always count on you!

Top Gun is on right now. I love this movie!

We won! We Won! WE WON!!!

Actually, Snow-in-Texas won! We went to 2 different Hallmark stores Saturday and they had a drawing at each store. (Did they have them everywhere?) Anyway, one of the stores called Wayne and he won a Yankee Candle!!! We both love those candles and wanted to buy one but didn't. Tomorrow we will go pick it up. I hope he gets to choose the scent!

I haven't read any of the post yet. I have a bunch of stuff to do but had to tell you all about this. I will be back to catch up!

(Sounds like I am excited like we won a vacation). ha ha!

Congratulations!!! Will you choose a Christmassy scent?
