I started a new Christmas afghan recently. It's a pretty pattern, but there are dozens of ends to be worked in, and I finally put it away because it was no fun. I'm switching to winter hats temporarily (to send to the homeless shelter later in the year), then I'll pick out a more enjoyable afghan pattern and get the yarn for it. A couple of the patterns I want to do use special Christmas yarn, which I hope will be on the craft store shelves soon. If not, I could order it online.
Oh what a bummer! I hate it when you start something & it's pretty, it's just not fun!! Bummer! You will have to keep me posted (and share some pictures) of what you decide to make. I have been seeing ads for the Christmas yarn so hopefully it will be in stores soon. I think our Ben Frankllin does have some out - all year round. I have never tried to make anything except scarves & afghans. How nice that you send hats to the homeless shelter. I always did scarves for special olympics, but they discontinued that program (the scarves) this year.
