Good afternoon, all! I'm back from our Pre-Christmas/Anniversary/Vacation trip, and now I'm trying to get caught up at work. We had some excitement on our trip this year. Sunday morning at about 4:45 am, the fire alarm went of at our hotel, forcing an evacuation into the (very cold and dark) parking lot. I must say that was the loudest fire alarm I've ever heard, and I think hubby and I pulled on our clothes and made it to the outside door in under 2 minutes. What a wake up call! Then, yesterday on the way home, our car engine blew out. Literally. My sister had to come get us, and our car is still in Pennsylvania, waiting for the reconditioned engine to arrive from North Carolina. Thank goodness for Sisters!
Otherwise, it was a splendid trip. We saw Christmas Village, the National Christmas center, Christkindlemarkt Bethlehem, the Central Moravian Church Putz, Roadside America, Choo Choo Barn, the PA Railroad Museum, and many covered bridges. It was very relaxing, and now I'm all refreshed and ready for Christmas. Fortunately my Hubby and I work different times of day, so sharing one car should be no problem. It could be worse, and at least it broke down on the last day of vacation, and not the first.
