Morning, everyone!

I am just staying at home for the day. I am still really sick. I hope and pray each night that I will wake up in the morning feeling better, but that's just not happening! I need to lay off of the ibuprofen, it's starting to upset my stomach. I should be getting the lab results of the strep test today even though the rapid said negative.

Well, hope you are all better than I am! Don't work too hard today!

I hope you can kick this bug soon, it seems you have been down for awhile now.

Good morning everyone
A beautiful day here in NYC

I am going to lunch in Time Square today and do a little window shopping, I can't wait!!!

Are you heading to the lighting of the Rockefeller Center tree tonight?

I have always wanted to go there, I will probably catch it on the tube.

Good afternoon, all! I'm back from our Pre-Christmas/Anniversary/Vacation trip, and now I'm trying to get caught up at work. We had some excitement on our trip this year. Sunday morning at about 4:45 am, the fire alarm went of at our hotel, forcing an evacuation into the (very cold and dark) parking lot. I must say that was the loudest fire alarm I've ever heard, and I think hubby and I pulled on our clothes and made it to the outside door in under 2 minutes. What a wake up call! Then, yesterday on the way home, our car engine blew out. Literally. My sister had to come get us, and our car is still in Pennsylvania, waiting for the reconditioned engine to arrive from North Carolina. Thank goodness for Sisters!

Otherwise, it was a splendid trip. We saw Christmas Village, the National Christmas center, Christkindlemarkt Bethlehem, the Central Moravian Church Putz, Roadside America, Choo Choo Barn, the PA Railroad Museum, and many covered bridges. It was very relaxing, and now I'm all refreshed and ready for Christmas. Fortunately my Hubby and I work different times of day, so sharing one car should be no problem. It could be worse, and at least it broke down on the last day of vacation, and not the first.

I am glad you had a great vacation, too bad about the car though.

Good afternoon,

Back from my errands, had to run to Toys R Us to make a payment on our layaway, one more payment to go until we pick up the big gifts for the boys. I also stopped at Cumberland Farms (New England convenience store) I picked up "Deck The Halls" on DVD for $3.99, at that price I thought it was worth it, not one of my favorites but its Christmassy. I do have to say, I love that store because I got lunch and a movie from there. Does anyone else seem to feel this last week of November is moving very slowly? I keep having to remind myself that it is still November, I think it is because Thanksgiving was so early this year.
I hope you all are enjoying Pines Day!!!

what up everybody...watching rizzoli & isles right now and then going to bed to rest my stiffened up neck and back...so i wish u all a great day....only two more days...then we off in the weekend

I will only watch TLC at Christmas time, and sometimes for Cake Boss. I try to avoid most of the stuff on there.

I can understand around Christmas! That sounds like a great program. Although I don't really "learn" much from their "reality" TV.

Carl is handing out Powerball tickets at the Pines and if you are real nice to him, he might just let you rub his hump for good luck!!!!

I feel the same but it's been good for me. I was so far behind and now that Thanksgiving is over, I'm more motivated to get stuff done.

Update on Guinness, from his owner---good news!

Thanks to donations from co-workers, Guinness's owner only had to pay half the cost of the hospital stay.

Thanks for all of your well-wishes!

That's great to hear!!

Sounds like a great trip!!! It's a bummer about the car though.

Warning!!!! Warning!!!!

The last Heartfelt Holidays with Valerie show of the season is on tomorrow at 1pm!!! Don't miss it!!!

Good morning everyone.. we were lucky enough to get about 2.5 inches of snow yesterday. It was beautiful and the kids had a blast playing. Really put me in the spirit, big time!

Unfortunately, we lost our cat last night. We had to put him to sleep due to a urinary blockage leading to kidney failure. He's never been in great health but we tried to give him a good life. My poor husband was so close to him and is taking this hard. It's such a hard thing. It's very strange not to have a pet now. We've always had at least 1 pet since we have been together for the last 10 years but not anymore. I don't know if I can handle going through something like that again. I don't know that we will get another cat. :(

I am so sorry you lost your cat! You will be in my prayers, esp. your husband. {{{HUGS}}}

Good afternoon, MMC!

Happy 'Pines Day!

I spent the day running errands, Christmas and grocery shopping. I am very glad to be home! I have everything put away and the rest of the evening is mine to relax. Bowfinger is on HDNET ~ I love that movie! I'm going to put it on while I figure out what to make for dinner.

Have a MERRY evening!!!
