Great to see you here. You are right about time flying; Christmas will be here before we know it. I remember, though, when it seemed to drag during December as a kid!

We had a good foot of snow the last week, but by tonight it will all be gone, temps in the high-forties for the next few days. Still anticipating a white Christmas, however.

Crazy how the time flies, seems it was just yesterday I poked my head in here in early-October, and here we are three weeks from Christmas Eve already.

I did go to work today, but I left around 1245 just couldn't handle being there any longer, I feel lousy. I have gotten nearly 19 hours of sleep the last 2 days this is just wearing on me. Day off tomorrow. Just watching A Very Brady Christmas now, I have always liked the Brady Bunch.

Time for a bit of rest.

It is overcast here in northern California, and FINALLY, the wind has died down!!! Dinner turned out good, even with all the boo boos! Football and leftovers will be evident at our house tonight, along with something Christmasy for dessert. Have a great rest-of-the-day, everyone!

Hi all...

More bad news on my end, but I'm attempting to keep it off the boards here. It is just so hard and I don't know how long I can keep this up. I even tried listening to Christmas music and I had to turn it off after two songs. I really hope this goes away soon...

Star - Excellent cake!! Definitely think you should've won first though!! =)

Hope all of you that are sick feel better! Hubs and I both have head colds...sneezing, runny noses, congestion, cough...the works! We are hoping to get over them soon...I just caught it yesterday and hubs has had his since Monday!

Not so busy at work today, I am feeling tired though, I think working overnight on Black Friday has really thrown me off. My wife had to bring LC to the Dr. office for some testing, we will find out what is going on next week after they do some testing. Please keep him and us in your thoughts and prayers, we are hoping it is nothing right now.

I am exhausted today. For some reason, I could not sleep on Wednesday night. Then last night, the wind blew so hard that I was too afraid to fall asleep; but I finally did at 3:53 this morning!!! The fear stemmed from an old tree in our yard that I was afraid would blow down and hit our house! I could not believe that the wind blew at a steady pace the whole night! I even went outside to see which way the wind was blowing so I could gauge which way the tree would fall! What a scaredy cat I am!!! The wind is still blowing now and is supposed to continue through Sunday. That is one of the things I hate about California weather in the winter! Okay, enough whining! Hubby and I went to a retirement lunch at Round Table today. One of his fellow workers at the Forest Service retired after 40 years! It was pleasant as I felt I needed a "break." Just three more radiation treatments!
Scaredy cat will try to get on later. Here's hoping all of you have a great afternoon. I truly pray for those of you under the weather, both physically and emotionally.

I hate windy nights, too. Makes me dream about tornados. I hope the wind has finally died down in your area!

Here's what I was doing yesterday:

Today it's warmer and foggy, so the snow is melting away. But yesterday and last night there was just enough snow to be festive, and not enough to make driving and walking difficult.

Morning all!! a couple of gifts I ordered online for the girls have just arrived, need to start finding some new good hiding places as my 11 year old is getting wise to my usual hiding spots ha!!!

Not at work this afternoon as the girls are at the dentist, might see if shaun fancies taking us all out for tea after!! hehe

Good afternoon Christmas family !!!

Yesterday was just a wonderful, wonderful day and evening. My sis and I went shopping, acted crazy (was it an act ??) and just really had a great time. After shopping we went back to her house, then my brother-in-law Wes took us all to dinner. I made SURE to tell the waiter it was my sister's birthday and at the end of the meal he brought her a free dessert !!!

Later after we got the tree all decorated my sister and I settled down and watched A Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim..

It is always so wonderful to have this tradition xo

It is also nice to be back home with my furkids and husband....Hermione was so glad to see me this morning (I have never been away all night) that she sounded like she was screaming when she saw me !!!

I wanted to tell you.....I lost 2 more pounds....That is 16 pounds now...Just 6 more to go.......Woot woot !!!

Good morning everyone! I am off work today because I have A dr,Appt at 9 am kind of a check up from the surgery I had in late October...what fun this should be!!!!! anyhow me and brandi are planning a vacation sometime this winter in northern Wv or extreme western Md at wisp ski resort we are just kind of waiting for a snowstorm to come...it looks like it would be late December or January at this point...my mom is staying here this whole month and heck maybe next month too.but I am glad she has had a rough year losing my dad so it helpe her be around her grandkids and favorite son! HAve a great day everyone!

Always nice to hear from you !! So glad your mom is with you. It will be a great comfort for her to be with family, especially her little grandbabies (((HUGS))) xo

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

And welcome back, gabulldawg!

I worked all day Saturday at Bernie's while Nancy, the kids and her sister worked on decorating the train depot in town. Our electrician hung the pole christmas lights and the banners. Bellville is Christmassy! I just wish I could've helped. Oh well.

We went into Savannah last night to see the new Festival of Lights, a drive through display. They had some good stuff, but not nearly enough. They said they'll have more next year. At the end of the drive, they had a petting zoo (which was obviously being supervised by Carl, who was in attendance), and a bonfire with hot chocolate and s'mores. Not bad!
