Get well! Dinner is ready at Made's house!I took a short nap and woke up to not feeling well. I think I will laze around and then take a shower. Maybe I will feel better then. After all, Ihave to talk at hte school board meeting tonight!
we already have a fair amount of snow on the ground so this is just adding to it.Is it cold enough to stick?
I ordered my mom a Valentine's Day present. She always does so much for me so hopefully it makes her smile! I wish my grandma was still here because I would be doing something special for her, too. It's a shame she never got to know how much I appreciated her!
good morning everyone! nothing new going on here. i am off today & i will take advantage of taking it easy now to rest up for Valloween next week.
merrycarey & xmas, i will be praying for y'all & all who are in the area of the storm this weekend.
i hope everyone has a nice Friday-eve!:merry:
oh dear, you have no one in your life that you love or who loves you?Valloween is the name I gave to that horrible dreaded day, February 14th. i know everyone loves it but NOT ME! Valloween=nightmare!!!!! I think most in the floral industry would agree w/ me, lol.
the joys of going to the Pines earlier in the day!!! Only thing is I missed being there with all of you.
I'm very jealous of you folks in New England. I wish we could have another storm like the blizzard of 1993 when we got 3 feet of snow. My aunt & uncle, who lived way out of town, were without power for 4 weeks. Since we have a well, we lose water when power is out. We usually fill one of the bath tubs up with water when a storm is on the way.
Stay safe everyone. Hope those in the storm are able to stay home and enjoy it.
Have a blessed day.

Good morning, MMC! There is a nice snowy gif for you all to stare at in anticipation of the blizzard that is approaching the northeast. I just got done saying I am sick of the snow, but I am very jealous of everyone who is getting the blizzard! There is so much hype on the news and with the media about the storm. (PS: Did anyone know the snowstorm is named Nemo? haha!) I wish we would get a little bit so I could have something to look forward to. I am on the western end of PA so it doesn't look like we'll be getting anything. Who knows, though. These systems can always shift. The only blizzard that I ever experienced was the one of 1993 and I was only a toddler then. If you're in the path of the blizzard, please be careful! Get all of your grocery shopping done ASAP and stock up on whatever you need. Don't go to work unless you have to if it's supposed to hit on Friday. You think businesses would be smart enough to close than risk their employees' lives!
I seem to be feeling better this morning. I think there is some kind of stomach bug going around because three of us in my house weren't 100% this week. As much as I love December and Christmas, I hate the two/three months afterward. Winter just drags on and I am so tired of all of the gross sicknesses that spread. Flus? Colds? Stomach bugs? No thank you! It does not help that people in my class do not know how to cover their mouths when they sneeze/cough. I caught a cold earlier in the semester because someone sneezed right on me. After that, I started carrying tissues with me and covering my mouth/face when anyone sneezed or coughed near me.
Things have been really boring around here, other than school and work. The weather has been so bad that I haven't been able to go much of anywhere lately. I don't think I have been to the mall since early January. We've just been getting snow, sleet, freezing rain, ice, downpours, etc. The roads haven't been very good for the past month or two. We'll get a nice day here or there but that's it. I am ready for spring!
Valentine's Day is a week from today. Does anyone have any special plans? I don't! It's usually boring unless you have someone to celebrate with, which I don't. My friends and I might make a movie night out of it.
I hope you're all doing well and that your families are good, too. Hopefully no one else has to deal with sickness this winter. I hate reading when anyone has the flu or isn't feeling well because I am so sympathetic!
Have a good day everyone! I will pop back on later![]()
I am hearing about some heavy snow for some of you all. We are suppose to get in the mid 70's up to 80 degrees today. I wouldn't mind having a little of your snow here! For now I will enjoy the mild temps to get some outdoor work done and ride my bike!
Stay safe in the harsh weather headed your way!
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya tomorrow; it's only a day away!
Oh, yes. I remember Valloween from last year!
MerryCarey~
We are experiencing some of the same, but not at all in the measurements you guys are talking about!
Stay safe and make sure you have flashlights, batteries and all that good stuff at the ready! Keep us posted on how you are doing!
Good afternoon everyone!
I hope you're all well. The count seems to be getting closer to the next milestone. I had a decent interview last night. I can't quite claim it as being "successful" until the hiring process has completed. The interesting news is that they are looking to complete the process by next Monday. I really want this career position. It would be great to (finally) have some security. I'd appreciate some assistance from you all, too. Thanks!
More importantly, I need your support for something else, too. My grandmother is having quite the battle right now. She's 83, but her health has been deteriorating over the past five or six years. She used to be quite healthy until my grandfather past away. Anyway, she has been in the hospital since Saturday morning and they don't quite know what is wrong. They've run tests but the doctors are baffled. With that said, I would appreciate your help and assistance on this matter, too. My grandmother has always been there for me and it is tough for me not to be around her during this tough time. Thank you!
Enjoy your Thursday, everyone. After today, there is only one more work day until the weekend!
oh dear, you have no one in your life that you love or who loves you?
OK everyone, jet coming to your place, we are going to have a "We love You" party at merrys house!! Bring chocolate and hugs!!!
 Haven't seen the actual copy yet---they usually thank their customers for their patience (ain't that encouraging? :winkand reinforce how quickly they responded in the face of great difficulties.
Some of the school systems in Massachusetts, including Boston public schools, have already cancelled classes for tomorrow. And Mr.'s office has told everybody not to come in, which is a BIG relief to me. I'm planning to work from home. Some areas are now being told to expect 30+ inches. I hope we don't lose our power ... they'll have a tough time getting around to fix outages.
I missed when exactly Valloween is ????
